She gave a small huff and sidestepped to let him see her handywork. Then she watched his claws disspear into the clay and watched admiringly as he tugged out a great lump of clay.
She flicked an ear and nodded, glancing up into his odd-coloured eyes. "That sounds totally awesome." She agreed, flicking her tail up. "Then I'll be the most amazing looking lioness out there." She wasn't exactly vain. She didn't mean she'd look beautiful, she'd just catch attention, people would stare because she was different and different was good, or in her mind at least.
And then a mischevious little grin crept onto her face - the only tell-tale sign that she was plotting. "Cit, yah got clay on yer face." And with a quick movement she scooped up a little of the sticky mud and flung it at him with a laugh. That'd teach him for being such a useful, smart-a**.

" Oi! " He cried out, barely turning his face away to be caught along the side of his face, right in his ear. He couldn't help but cringe as the sticky feeling seeped right into his fur.
" Ohhh... You'll be payin' fer that, missy... " He growled out dangerously, though there was a playful smirk set to his lips. He circled quickly around her til he had her between himself and the water, before lunging.
He had every intention to knock both her, and himself, out into the watering hole. At least it would wash away the clay, as well as give her a good drenching as payback!

She laughed again, joy in the tone. "Oh really? Well I'd like to know how." She watched him circle her, a thrill of excitement running through her. He'd have to be quick if he wanted to catch her off guard. She was Nissa, rebellious queen of the savannah!
She was strong and fast and proud and--and he was lunging at her!
She rose onto her hind legs to meet him head on, pressing her chest to meet his, but he was heavier than her and she felt herself slipping backwards. So she did what instincts told her to, she wrapped her paws across her shoulders and held on.
If she was going down then he was going down to.
And the water hit her like a wall and his weight pushed her beneath its depths where she spluttered and struggled desperately to get to the surface.
Cats weren't made for swimming!!

He smirked under the water, quite used to it despite the natural order of things. If something told him he wasn't built to swim, then he was GOING to swim!
Wrapping his arms around her firmly, he kicked the sandy bottom below them hard, pushing them up past the surface of the water where they could take in air.
His grin only widened as he kept hold of her, not wanting Nissa to become afraid of being in the water. He wouldn't dream of letting anything happen to her, after all.
" How's tha' fer payback, eh? " He purred out in a taunting tone, rather amused by her soaked look.

And then she felt herself being dragged up and she broke through the surface, gasping for air. She didn't like being out of control, didn't like being dependant on someone else. But she'd never been in water, never wanted to. As far as she was concerned, land was her territory and she was quite content with that.
And then he spoke in that taunting tone and she blinked, putting on an arrogant expression. "Wonderful, except you got wet too." She struggled out of his grasp and headed back to the bank, dragging herself up onto dry land where she shook her dripping wet.
"Ugh, it's going to take me forever to dry." She snorted a mist of water from her nostrils. "I hope you're happy." But she laughed. "Come on, joker, lets get this finished."
But this wasn't over. She had more pranks to play, whether it be today or another day, she'd get him.
