Kirana smiled weakly, "I would certainly appreciate it," She said, bowing her head in respect before following suit, snatching several meatrolls off of the provided plate. She tucked the skin back into her skirt pocket before popping a roll into her mouth.
There was a sudden creel as a rush of cold washed over Kirana, and a green firelizard took it's perch on her shoulder. Narrowing her eyes at the firelizard, Kirana gave a laugh before tossing out of the meatrolls into the air, causing the green to spiral up and snatch it in her foreclaws.
"Why is it you only come when I have food?" Kirana giggled as the green settled back on her shoulder, gnawing happily on the meatroll.

T'bell smiled and gave a backwards wave directed to V'lyrn and the weaver girl in the corner whose name he'd already forgotten.
He was better with faces anyway.
"I'll track you down for that project I've got for you later." He smiled at her before he nodded to the harper girl.
"This way, milady." He gestured the the exit with a flourish, "My name's T'bell." His mouth was quickly filled with another bite of meatroll as he padded down the stairs into the hall.

"I'm Kirana," She said, nodding to T'bell and taking a quick step out of the kitchens before motioning for him to go ahead of her. She didn't know where she was going after all.

((alrighty, this is all C&Ped from the shop thread....)) Kimie Lemurrin had been at the far end of the kitchens, leaning against the rough stone walls, sipping his mug of klah. His years as a Harper served him well: he was good at blending into backgrounds. As riders and other weyrfolk trickled into the kitchens, he watched them all carefully, taking careful note of shoulder knots and general temperaments. The young man pushed his dark hair out of his eyes habitually and took a careful sip of his drink. Tara Again Tolara shook her head, "Their not finished," she said in a burst of desperation. Anything to get the topic off her. Then T'bell spoke. For a moment Tolara just looked at him like he had suddenly sprouted a pair of wings. Had she ever been close to a watchwher? Sure, the weaver knew what they were. And what their reputation entailed. They were excellent if you wanted safety. A watchwher would only let it's master or someone they were trained to accept nearby. Having been realtively sheltered sans the last three turns, Tolara hadn't known anyone personally who actually Impressed one of the things. "No!" She shook her head still staring. "Their dangerous!" PenOfDL "Only if you threaten them, really," Kirana said, smiling softly at Tolara as she sipped her klah again, looking around the room. She noticed a young man she hadn't in her sleepy, groggy state upon entering the kitchens. He didn't look like a rider, and in fact, he had the shoulder knots of a journeyman harper.
Grinning shyily, Kirana reached up a hand and waved him to join their little grouping. Even if Kirana was a shy one, she was fine with speaking to someone who was related to something familiar, like the Hall. Hmmm, perhaps that was why she'd warmed up to T'bell so fast. Chayse "Only if they're not trained properly." T'bell corrected mildly. "I was wondering...I have a pair of the little beasts and you know how thier eyes are. I'm hoping to train them a bit more thuroughly then people usually bother to." He traced a pattern on the table with his finger, "I've got some rough masks covering thier eyes right now, in the daytime anyway. It doesn't seem to bother them, they play around and everything, but I hoped maybe you could make something a little more polished than a strip of cloth, and definatly better looking." Kimie Kirana's slight wave caught Lemurrin's eye, and he gave her a little smile before heading over to join her and her companions. "Morning," he murmured quietly, clearing his throat. He nodded a greeting at Kirana, Tolara, and T'bell, not wanting to interrupt. Pen "Morning," Kirana said, grinning softly as she stood, settling her klah on the table and offering a hand to the young man. "I'm Kirana, Harper Apprentice. You would be?" Kimie "Lemurrin, Journeyman Harper," he replied rather wryly as he shook the young woman's hand. "Pleasure to meet you." It would be nice to be around harpers again. Lemurrin loved the Weyr, but missed the constant music of the Hall-- although he didn't mind leaving some of the hustle and bustle behind! Chayse T'bell looked up and smiled at the new arrival. Good, definatly a group decent for conversation, and he wasn't outnumbered by girls. "G'morning. I'm T'bell, rider of Liliath." What's wrong with being outnumbered by girls? Came Liliath's accusatory question. 'Nothing!' T'bell thought back quickly, 'But you wouldn't want to be around a gaggle of greens all the time, would you?' Competition. She grumbled, then a moment of silence. Are women competition for you?A blush crossed T'bells' cheeks and he groaned, despite the others around him. 'No Liliath. Can we not talk about this?' You're afraid they'll take your riders, just like I may have some unworthy competition with other greens. The dragon answered confidently. I will leave this alone, but I must teach you how to attract males. I am very good at it.The blush only got brighter. Pen Kirana grinned at Lemurrin before glancing at T'bell out of the corner of her eyes. He'd spontaniously burst into a blush. She giggled softly and gently poked his cheek, "Awwwww. Why so blushy?" Chayse "Liliath's being..." Helpful."Being, uh...well, a green really." He shook his head. "Never ceases to surprise me." The best green. I'm not like the others. Came her haughty reply. 'No love,' He thought with a touch of bemusement as his blush faded. His pale skin kept it visible though, he always held a blush, 'You're MY dragon, and that's why you're different from the others. You're better. To me you're the best dragon. Who needs a gold or a bronze?' I could use a bronze. She replied sheepishly and T'bell sighed ruefully. But you are the best rider because you are mine. And I am going to sun myself before the clouds come out again. There is a handsome dragon on the ledge.Kimie Lemurrin noticed the slight blush on T'bell's cheeks and wondered what his dragon had said to him. He'd witnessed enough dragon and rider exchanges to recognize the vacant expression that riders tended to show when speaking with their mates. He raised a brow questioningly, but refrained from commenting, only holding out a hand in greeting. "And how is Liliath this morning?" Pen Kirana grinned softly and chuckled, "No worries, T'bell. We all have someone who has a knack of making us blush without even really trying," She said, picking up her klah mug. "Yours can just get more information to tease you with because she is connected to your mind," She sipped her klah and grinned. Chayse "Is she ever." T'bell mumbled in reply to Kirana, and took Lemurrins' hand, "She's delighting in making comments on anything and everything. She loves to impart her wisdom." He smiled and nodded to a chair. "Join us? Breakfast smells like it's nearly done, and I'm sure everyone can make a game of how red my dragon gets me." Like a raw wherry.'Lovely image.' Tasty.Pen Kirana glanced up at Tolara popped up out of her chair. Smiling softly, she turned back to her klah. The weaver must be in the same position she was, feeling quite uncomfortable at the moment. Kirana just always forced herself to handle the situation. She only ever ran away when she couldn't take it.
Grinning slightly at T'bell, she reached out a gave a strand of his ebony locks a playful tug, "Awww, Kirana promise to be nice to T'bell. Really, really," She cooed, beaming innocently. Kimie Lemurrin inhaled deeply and grinned. "Breakfast does smell wonderful." He took a seat, turning slightly as the young weaver hurried away. Returning to his klah, he made a face. "Shells, it's cold." Chayse A small pout formed on his face when his hair was tugged, then he remembered he'd done the same to her and he laughed. "Alright, alright. If you promise." When Tolara made her retreat he blinked and opened his mouth to say something but then thought better. If she liked being alone better it may have been too uncomfortable for her. Instead he turned his smile to Lemurrin. "So we're just a group of harpers then, hm?" He sipped his klah with a smile, "Mine's still warm...how long were you watching everyone?" His tone was lightly teasing. Ah, he knew how some harpers could be...tell you the colour of the laces on everyone's shoes by the time a gather was over. Kimie Lemurrin grinned back at the greenrider. "Awhile," he admitted. "Not sure exactly, but apparently long enough for my drink to get cold!" He brushed his hair out of his face yet again. I really ought to find those leather ties again! The harper's green eyes glinted. "So what was your specialty, back at the Hall?" Pen Kirana grinned to herself as she sipped her klah, "Mine's still relatively warm. I can go and get everyone a new cup, if you guys want." Kimie "Oh, you don't need to do that, Kirana!" Lemurrin protested. Then he took another sip and made a face. "On second thought.. if you're sure you don't mind..." He held out his mug sheepishly.

((and the rest of it o.o)) Chayse "I'm fine for now, thanks." He smiled at Kirana and sipped his cup again to prove it. "Well, my mother's a Master...so I learned making instruments from her. Flutes are my specialty, drums too, but mostly flutes."He swirled the klah in his cup and rested his head on his hand, "You probably worked under her, Master Morena? She bullies around the journeymen and aprentices all the time. 'Put love into what you're making!' and all that." Kimie Absently, the journeyman nodded. "Unfortunately, flute and drums are my weakness. I'm good with gitar, but otherwise, I'm all thumbs!" He waggled his fingers as if to demonstrate. "My Hold's Harper snagged me for my voice, mostly. Morena is your mother? Yes, I studied under her some." Pen Kirana grinned, "I don't mind at all," She said, taking the mug, sitting her own down. Hers was still warm. She wandered over to the sink, pouring out the cold klah. She filled the mug with hot water again before setting to make a fresh cup of klah. Give the boys awhile to talk shop. Chayse "I lost my good voice when it changed. Too many altos in the choir so my mother took me out to make things." He waved his hand, "Guitars are annoying, definatly. I can barely play half the learning songs. Flutes, however, if they're made to fit your fingers they're easy sailing." He grinned, "You get posted here? How long have you been around?" Pen Kirana grinned, coming back over to the table with a fresh mug of klah, "Lemurrin," She said, presenting him with the mug and a broad smile to go with it. Heh, she'd be better off being a drudge than a harper. Course, that was just a stray random thought, and those never hold much water...do they? Kimie "I wasn't exactly posted here. I was Searched for the last Hatching, but alas. I didn't Impress." He rubbed at the back of his neck. "I liked the Weyr, though, and decided to stick around, so the Masterharper made some arrangements, and well! Here I am!" Lemurrin flashed a quick smile and leaned forward a bit. "Thanks much," he said, taking a drink of the fresh klah. "Much improved!" Chayse "Last hatching, huh?" He sipped his klah thoughtfully and moved over to make room for Kirana. "I hardly remember it..." We need to patrol again. Came Liliaths calm voice. Someone has seen a feline.'Right there, my queen.' T'bell sighed. "Shards, I've got to do a flyby. Someone thinks they've seen a feline. Probably just a wherry." He frowned, food was just getting ready to go too. He'd have to grab some on the way back. "Sorry 'bout this. We should continue this conversation later." He smiled at them both and pushed himself up from the chair, draining his klah. "See oyu around the weyr. You keep your eyes on you feet." The last part was directed at Kirana and her luck with stairs before he made a quick exit back to his weyr. Pen Kirana made a face at T'bell before sighing as she sunk down into her chair, sipping on her klah, "and then there were two," She said, chuckling to herself. Kimie "I'll see you around, then, T'bell. It's been fun talking to you," Lemurrin called after the retreating rider. He smiled at Kirana. "I should probably get going, as well. I've got a couple of fire lizard eggs to keep warm!" He looked into his mug and shrugged. He might as well take it with him back to his quarters. Pen Kirana chuckled, "And then there was one," She said, finishing off her klah before standing up and going to find the records room to double check the information she had gotten from T'bell.

Another queen flitted in neatly through the doorway from the hall, banking her wings and backwinging to land neatly on the back of a chair. She was lighter in colour than Bren, and smaller for now, with a paler head. Her tail wrapped elegantly around a rail on the chair and she chirpped her self-satisfaction.
Her blue eyes changed to green when she spotted the other golden fliit, and she stretched her neck outward, tilting her head curiously at the mirror image. Why, it was a reflection of her! It must be! Nothing like the little blue nuisance that took the best shoulder perch of her impressed.

A small light-green flit appeared from between in the hall and squaked at her surprise of seeing two golden flits at once. As quickly as she had appeared she disappeared back between.

Then again she returned to the kitchen, her eyes whirling red orange with surprise and anger at how her impressed had scolded her for returning empty handed. Well he could just wait then.
She found a perch in the rafters and watched the queens warily, not sure if she liked them quite yet.

Sisao creened her neck at the much darker green. She saw the food and her belly rumbled, but seeing the upset queens she stayed firmly in place in the rafters, humming softly to herself the same sort of thrombing sound often heard at hatchings.
After a few minutes of this, the little green's hunger outdid her fear of the queens and she slid down from the rafters silently and sat on the oposite side of the food from the other green. Eyeing her curiously.

Flute let out a startled squawk when the other queen began her display of dominance but didn't move. This was her perch, by the egg of Faranth, and she would stay where she was. Hisses of warning escaped her, eyes whirling red, and she screeched a few notes at the insolense of the other flitt before it flew off to its owner. With an air of smugness, but still slightly whirling eyes, she ruffled herself on her perch, folding and refolding her wings with a quiet snort. She aimed a wary glare at the other queen before turning up her nose and regarding the greens with a curious air. That was definately odd...the only green things she had seen were quite a bit larger than she herself was.

Sisao had had enough. The screaching the yelling, her bonded had scolded her, but this was far worse. Her eyes flashed a dull orange of mal content with the day as a whole. She grabbed a meat roll almost too big for her to lift. Leapt up into the air and went between. But before she did she sent a greeting and good bye to the other green, letting her know that she was going to her room to bathe in the warm water since it was cold outside. A half invitation should the other green wish to join her in the meat roll and bath.

The gold let out a startled squawk at the screeching that came from her older counterpart. Well! That was no way to behave! Her eyes whirled an orange colour, but she held her ground on her chair. She hadn't moved other than to ruffle her wings, the only sound being the snort for the others actions. Hm, maybe that was it. Ah well, it didn't matter. She had mantained her perch on the chair and that other gold was leaving now. She must communicate this to Liliath, as soon as she had a meal, and discover the meaning of all the chaos that had happened.
With a trill she turned to the pair of smaller Liliaths, feasting on meatrolls, only to find one had gone missing. Well, whatever, there was one left. With a curious trill she leaned her head down, blinking calming eyes at the strange flitt.
