She didn’t stop to look back as she reached the stream she’d been followed before she had spotted the other. Taking a ninety degree turn she began to follow once more in the direction it flowed from. She’s always been rather good in the snow, her Father having taken her out for runs in it from the time she could walk. But when she had taken her turn upon reaching the stream she had splashing in the water, forming ice crystals over her fur and slowing her down by about half.
She’d moved about fifteen or twenty feet before she looked back over her shoulder. Not seeing the male had her a little concerned and she slowed from her run to a walking pace before stopping completely and turning around. Wondering if he had gotten hurt she though about going to look for him, but she would wait a few minutes to give him a chance to catch up once she thought about it.

He could only see the prints she left behind, so instead of running, he walked along next them. He hoped they weren't someone else's he was following. To his relief, it didn't take long before he could see the white female. Scarf still in his mouth dragging upon the ground next to him as he went. It was a nice thought, grabbing her scarf. Or at least he figured it. He wasn't a complete a** hole, was he?

Finally she stopped him, her worry vanishing away as a smile formed on her face. But what was it she had? She squinted her eyes slightly, looking closer before she realized what it was. Looking down at herself a little shocked she had yet to notice in her almost childlike excitement that she had lost the scarf at all. Standing she moved forwards to great him. “ Thank you, for picking my scarf up for me. I hadn‘t noticed till now that I‘d lost it. ” She was silent a moment as she though, knowing that he had walked instead of trying to race her. Perhaps it was a little childish of her not to wait a see if he was going to want to as well. “ Sorry for leaving you behind like that. ”

He dropped her scarf at her feet. That way he could talk. "No problem, and no worries." He said with a chuckle. "The snow is too slick for me to run on" He sat down right where he was. It seemed like a good enough place to stop for a moment. "Are we close?" he asked not sure where exactly he was. He peered around, but didn't see anything he recognized.

Nodding as she stepped closer to him, leaning forwards to place her scarf back around her neck. Making she it was tight this time her eyes fell on the stream as she spoke. “ I believe so. The stream moves faster the further we come in this direction. Past experience shows me that this means you’re close. ” She laughed at herself slightly and shook her head as she thought about her words. “ That must have sounded weird. ” She looked to him. “ But yes, we should be there soon. ”

He raised his eye brow and looked at her. "Oh..." He didn't know what else to say at all. He watched her then nodded. "Then lets get going." He said blinking at her for another moment.

She looked at him a moment before nodding and pushing herself up on all four paws. Starting to walk she made sure she wasn’t going to fast for him, while keeping herself close to the stream. She was silent as she continued no, not really sure what to talk about and he didn’t seem very talkative to her. Luckily for her it wasn’t that much further till they reached what they had been looking for. The small lake had only been about fifty feet ahead of them, slightly up hill from where they’d stopped. She smiled as her eyes fell upon the water. “ And here we are. ” Reaching the shore and took a seat again.
The water was unfrozen except for about an inch and a half at the very edge. Though it did look kind of pretty, the white of the falling snow resting on the surface of the water a moment before melting. “ Hope there are some fish in this one thought. How hungry are you? ”

He didn't want to seem slow, but he couldn't help it. He wasn't built to run. To climb, was what he loved doing. And being in water was what he didn't take too much joy into. He frowned as he saw the water. He was hoping they'd run into a rabbit, or something to that. "So... Ready?" he asked dreading the very moment he was to go in there. "I'm sure there are fish...." He said looking at the water. "I'm not too hungry, but I think it's because the water just lost my apatite. "

She grinned at him. “ You don’t like water do you? ” Reaching up she pulled the scarf loose again, so it still laid over the back on her neck but would slip off quickly. “ You don’t have to go in you know. I’m capable of fishing and really only one of us needs to get all wet. ” Lifting a paw she moved it forwards and dipped it into the water. It wasn’t as cold as she was expecting it to be really, and with her thick fur it wasn’t likely she’d get to wet or cold away.

"oh... I'm not bothered by it." he lied. It wasn't like it was terrible. Though it could be during the winter. Cold and icy and all. His thick fur was what was keeping him warm, what happened if that got too wet? He didn't know but he was sure he wouldn't like it. "eh.. You sure... I mean you shouldn't be getting in the water. You'll get sick." It was kind of too late when he said it, but he could always try to convince her not to go in there. Or at least not go in there while he was here.

Looking up from the water to the male Noel thought a moment She was sure he seemed to not like it, but perhaps she was wrong. Either way she wouldn’t push it. “ I’m sure, honestly there is no reason for us both to go in or get sick. ” She was also sure she wasn’t going to get sick from a little cold water. Removing the scarf from around her neck she tossed it to him, giggling slightly as it fell down over his head covering his eyes.
“ It shouldn’t take me to long, you stay here and I’ll be right back. ” Stepping forwards she felt a shiver down her spine as she submerged her front paws, but she didn’t stop. Making her way into deeper waters she took a look back and gave a smile before diving out of site.

He didn't even move as the scarf fell upon him covering his face, though he quickly just shook it off. He smirked. He didn't know if he should feel bad for making her do it, or not. "Well, I'm a... Your a.. I mean, I should be doing that." He said. Though, it seemed she didn't even take notice to what He said as she left into the water.

It took a moment for her vision to clean, less light below the surface meant her eyes had to adjust to the change. Wasn’t long though before she could see the glossy scales of the fish hiding near the bottom. The small shiny mirror like surfaces of there skin catching what little light there was as they swam.
She grinned and slowly moved forwards, stalking mostly, until she got into place. Once she had found the right spot she merely waited though hoped she wouldn’t run out of air before something came by. And just as she was thinking about it a large fish swam past her. She grin widened and she used her back paws, which she had positioned against a rock at the bottom to push off.
Her sudden movements sent the water creatures into a frenzy, getting away as quick as they could. But she had caught the tail of the one she was after. Holding it tightly in her jaws she batted it as she swam upwards and it tried to get free. Braking the surface she breathed deeply, but made sure to keep her teeth closed around what was to become dinner. Making her way back to shore she crawled out of the water, careful not to get the male wet as she dropped the fish, pressing her paw down on top of the flopping creature to keep it for falling back in. Taking a moment to catch her breath and smiled at him. “ Dinner. ”

Takumi thought it took a while, not hearing or seeing anything. He hoped she didn't drowned. He paced up and down the side of the bank, careful not touching any of the water. He saw some movements that weren't normal, maybe that was her. Or maybe that was something that had eaten her. His ears flattened and he continued to pace. Why did other's insist on doing stuff like this? He could always leave and then say he was never there if someone found her body.
Bad, Takumi! Bad. He told himself as he waited more. Why did he always have thoughts like that? Perhaps it was because of his father. As soon as he got really into thought, she popped back up and was on the shore before he realized. "It's still alive." He said as he watched it flop about. Well, of course it is.

She nodded as she looked at him, noticing the paw prints in the snow that showed he had been pacing but saying nothing about them. “ The fresher the better. ” Still holding down the fish with her paw, short claws dug into it slightly and sat and took a moment to regain herself. She had been down a long while and seeing as she hadn’t fished in a while it seemed to have taken a lot out of her energy wise. “ Sorry I took so long, I hadn’t thought about the lack of light down there do to the lack on light during winter. ” Leaning forwards she pressed a tooth into the back of the fishes neck, right into the spine and killing it instantly before shifting it over to Takumi. “ And dinner is served. ” She smiled lightly before laying down to rest now.
