Ok I'll keep it to Theatre but with an addition.
It's the Theatre & Galleries now.

I also renamed the cloudy penthouse to The Chapel. It looks better and it fits as it's all about the divine side of history/mythology/fantasy.
We now have another problem though. This could make the Museum obsolete, so....more thinking to be done. The Museum isn't being used very much, so something needs to be done.

Rename the Museum "The History Books" or something like that. The idea is supposed to be for stuff that actually happened, right? Documented stuff? A rename could keep that and emphasize the purpose of the sub-forum.

Gee, so many changes in so little time. I hope the "historical archives" sub-forum gets used more. If not, I might make a requirement on my user name contest to post there if necessary. mrgreen
BTW, The Chapel does sound better, and so does "historical archives". 3nodding

Not really quite the topic, but best place I could think of.
Out of curiosity, Mel, why close down the RPing subforum? We've been trying all summer to get something up and running and now that something's getting started, it's all locked up?
I'm confused...

Hey Berz! I believe Mel said that she decided to lock it cuz there's not much activity on the other forums. I bet that if at least 3 members post everywhere, she'll unlock the sub-forums. 3nodding

It seems like a good idea, yes. Maybe we should refurbish the least active sub-forum and make it into the magic sub-forum, I don't know...

Personally, I don't think we need it. It's an awfully specialized topic that fits rather well into the fantasy sub-forum.

That's what I was thinking Berz.
As it was mentioned though, there are several schools of magic, so how do we talk about them all individually if we want to comment on them. Another thread about magic in the Fantasy Conference entitled "Schools of Magic" or something? It'd be a bit different from the general magic thread.
I do think we need another subforum re-adjustment somewhere though.
I thought that Gaians loved contests etc, so I made the Arena and Marketplace for that sort of thing. It barely gets a single post. The Chapel is also falling behind quite dramatically, but we still need the divine side of fantasy to be discussed. The Catacombs works, but it's not seeing any action except for on the Vampirism and Necromancy threads.

Hey! I just got an idea!
What about having a section for those internet, getting-to-know-you memes that go floating around. You know the ones; "what Lord of the Rings character are you?" and "list your ten favorite books and your friends will guess who your favorite character is." Those sort of things.
Might be fun to add them into the arena section or something.

That sort of thing can definitely be added to the arena section. I am wondering whether to keep the name the same, or to alter it to something else other than "Arena and Marketplace".
If anyone has any suitable suggestions, do post them!

Now that you mention it, a thread for the schools of magic might be better, yes. I second that!
Berz's idea sounds good as well and I'm for it.
Like Mel says, it's too bad some sub-forums aren't getting enough attention but I'm no chaser. Which members are chasers anyway and why aren't they doing their jobs?
