hypnocrown That's pretty cool Lone Wolf! I am not sure about how many of them I have heard but I'm positive that you can't hear about any of those where I live. At least I haven't yet and I don't get out much so I could be wrong, he-he. I'd like to point out that the hobgoblin was something I did hear about but only from Spiderman comics and you might know how the enemy known with that name is nothing like the Puca you mention cuz that one usually looks like a horse, right? Isn't it funny how they took the name of hob-goblin and gave it to a pumkin wielding freak? lol Guess what? The Dullahan is a popular creature in the recent Castlevania games. There have been average enemies with that name and even a couple of bosses who had this name as well. The funny things is that those enemies don't always have a horse with them so they're either horsemen without horses or just horse men riding half a horse. I don't know about you but I find that funny. mrgreen I've heard of the banshee in two separate things. First off, the shows called "Charmed" with 3 pretty actresses playing the roles of witches and they were pretty similar to the description you supplied. However, on that show they are rather different as they can turn other women into banshees but only those who have their hearts broken. Weird twist, huh? I've also seen them in Castlevania Order of Ecclesia and they just seem to hover around the room and shout to deal damage to the main character. They die rather easily, except that cutting weapons don't hurt them as much. they're actually really hard to find and i only know about them because my gf got me this ancient book on myths and legends with a page about each creature ^^ lol yeah I found that funny and thought it was not even close to it but then i found out that one of the forms a hobgoblin can take actually look like a man and his face matches the guy in spiderman lol lol i never played castlevania but im planning too now and in Final fantasy 3 there is a boss riding a horse with that name ^^ thats kinda strange but ive never seen charmed so i wouldn't know but the banshee always seems to scream to hurt people its kinda cool

That book seems cool dude, you are lucky to have such a cool GF. 3nodding
Really? So maybe they got the color of the Hobgoblin's costume right as well? I kinda doubt it cuz orange doesn't seem like the right color for a creature like that, even if the character has that color somewhere.
Sadly, I don't remember any of the monsters in FF3 right now. Yes, you should totally try a Castlevania game. I recommend Portrait of Ruin if you have indeed never even tried one before. It's so much newbie friendly than Order of Ecclesia, if you own a DS that is. If not, look up any other that was released for a console you do own. You probably won't regret it unless you get Dracula X Chronicles for PSP, that one is impossible to beat! At least for me anyway...
That's too bad, Charmed was a really cool show in my opinion. 3nodding

Cool! I wonder if you'd like her more if she had furry skin and wolf ears and a wolf tail. mrgreen
Nope! After all, the first goblin was just named Green Goblin and the one that came after both Osbornes was some guy who took the Goblin tech stuff and named himself HobGoblin. However, instead of the green color as usual, he opted for a weird orange color and I don't really get why. confused
Say, can the old x-box connect to x-box live and the online store? Cuz if so, you can buy one old Castlevania called "Symphony of the Night" and it's on of the best ever. Especially for beginners!
Sure! It wasn't the most accurate show when it came to myths but it was entertaining. I enjoyed watching it cuz of the nice looking actresses who were in the show. Alissa Milano was my favorite. 3nodding

WHAT!? You actually live in a forest? I bet you must draw a lot of inspiration from that place alone, huh? Say, do you get to see a lot of wildlife each day? Do you find a lot of annoying insects whenever you go outside? You should really post more at the mythic garden sub-forum seeing as you already live in a forest. It might not me mythical in any way but still...
Cool! Sometimes I wonder if I can find a good one around my area but it's not extremely important; at least not now anyway...

(Sorry to change the subject) (FYI, I've been having issues with where my comments end up *sigh*) I'm surprised that no one added info about phoenixes. A quick history of the phoenix: The phoenix was originated in persian mythology. Over time it spread to egypt, and was closely related to worship at the Heliopolis, the rising sun, and Ra (The egyptian sun god). Afterwards it spread to Greece. Over time, the phoenix has evolved via writing, the internet, etc. From Wikipedia: Quote: A phoenix is a mythical bird with a colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet (or purple, blue, and green according to some legends). It has a 500 to 1,000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again. The new phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self. In some stories, the new phoenix embalms the ashes of its old self in an egg made of myrrh and deposits it in the Egyptian city of Heliopolis (sun city in Greek). It is said that the bird's tears contain healing abilities of pureness, and their cry is that of a beautiful song. Ok, I hope you like my info! biggrin

now for more creatures from my book ^^
Fenrir Fenrir also known as Fenris-wolf he is the son of Loki and Angrboda the giantess. He is the brother of Hel and the Midgard Serpent. Fenrir was vicious and blood thirsty. Fenrir was so dangerous that the other gods bound Fenrir in chains; Fenrir repeatedly broke the chains until the gods made a magical invisible chain called Gleiphr. In the Ragnarok Fenrir breaks free from the chain and will devour everything however Fenrir is killed after killing Odin as Vidor Odin's son stabs him.
Nightmare Nightmares or Skeletal steeds are undead horses they are one of the greatest aids to the undead. These are the bodies of great war-horses that are brought back to the unlife by necromantic powers. Nightmares unlike mortal horses have the ability to move through terrain that might be blocking their path they can move though walls and dense vegetation with ease.
Minotaur Minotaurs are powerful beasts that are half taurine, half-human. They are savage creatures, which can use simple weapons such as clubs. Minotaurs origins lie within Greek mythology where a Minotaur was kept in a labyrinth at Knossos until Thesus killed it. They have been featured in many fantasy novels and also appear in the fantasy roleplay games
Basilisk The Basilisk is the mythical king of the serpents. The basilisk is born from a spherical yolkless egg, which was laid by a seven-year rooster and hatched by a toad. According to the legends there are two species of Basilisk. The first is a creature that burns everything it approaches the second kind can kill every living thing with a mere glance. Both species are so evil that their breath wilts vegetation and can crack stones. A basilisk is a highly poisonous creature. It was though the only way to kill a Basilisk is by holding a mirror In front of its eyes, the moment the creature sees itself in the mirror it dies of sheer fright. The basilisk had natural enemies the weasel was immune to the Basilisks glance, and if the Basilisk should here a c**k crow it would be killed instantly.
hope this helped ^^
