X-Legends-Never-Die-X tangocat777 X-Legends-Never-Die-X Bleeding_Me ok, I went to gamestop to buy a PS3 and all right. Well one of the retards at gamestop couldn't speak because of his speech impedement, so I didn't talk to him. So I talked to this fatass (lives with his mom) retard who trieed convincing me to purchase a 360 instead. I wanted to ask him if he was retarded. I told him I wanted a PS3, in other words I WANTED YTO SPEND MORE MONEY IN HIS STORE, and he tried me to buy a cheaper item in his store, what a retard. Not only was he trying to avoid bringing in a shitload of cash, this idiot was actually bringing his bias into the workplace and trying to force it on a customer. That's, like, the number one no-no in sales. When a customer has made a choice, a salesman has no place trying to alter his decision based on personal preference. Now if someone comes in, not knowing what they want, then that's different. Also if they're specifically asking for an opinion, then it's fine. But if someone wants to buy something specific, no WAY should a salesman try to change his decision. I vaguely remember Viking saying something about wanting to buy a PS3 game and the guy not complying because he was a huge 360 fantard. I remember that story clear as day...it wasn't a Ps3, actually. He went into Gamestop and he went up to this middle-aged clerk and asked for a copy of MGS3. The clerk told him he refused to sell him that because he insisted that the Xbox was an all-around better system. Viking asked for the manager...he WAS the manager. Wow that must have been scary.

These stories make little to no sense. Doesn't Gamestop Corporate hear about this kinda behavior from their employees? How can any employee of any store REFUSE to sell somebody something? "Hi, I'd like to buy this peach candle." -"No." "What?" -"No, I won't let you buy that." "Why not?" -"Because the apple candle is an all around better candle." WTF!?!

Yeah I'm gonna be off topic in that I love my gamestops. (I have 2 I go to but a 3rd just opened up near #2!) For a while I was on a 1st name basis with the guys who worked at my #1 cause I was there so much. & one of em even gave me & my boyfriend free slices of pizza the last time we were up there! And at my #2 gamestop when I was 16, after chatting with one employee for about ten minutes about various games he handed me a job application & told me it was fine if I turned it in early.

Yeah well, no other stores takes trade-ins, so EB Games have no competition, so they can do what they want, if another store would give better trade-in prices, then EB games would have to compete and give more store credits. SOMEONE COMPETE WITH THEM PLEASE!!! scream

I hate the people at my gamestop. They treat me like a cute little retarted boy. I hadn't pre-ordered a copy of Metroid Prime 3 but I was lucky enough to get the last copy there. So the guy begins to think I'm slow or something because he starts naming off Wii games he's pre-ordering that will probably end up sold out. (This is the same day I pre-ordered .hack vol. 3) Gamestop Employee: Do you want to pre-order Super Mario Galaxy? Me: No thank you. GE: You'd better pre-order that one if you want it. GE: Do you want to pre-order Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Me: Nope. GE: You'd better pre-order that one too, these games are pretty popular. Me: Yeah, I know that. GE: So you want to pre-order .hack, but not SSBB? Me: That's right. GE: Whatever, see you lil' dude.
The only reason I remember this is because he called me "lil' dude".

SOMEONE COMPETE WITH THEM PLEASE!!! scream That I will agree with. It's a f-ing rip off when it comes to trade ins. Though the only crap I turn in is old games so I don't expect much anyhow. Dude if I had the money I'd open my own gamestop-like store. And give a better trade in value (but if someone gave me a game that didn't work I'd send thugs to their house to...teach ema lesson twisted ) But that's an unrealistic dream for me.

Ace Paladin I got $40 for my PS2. DDDDDDD:
That's retail value, that's how much Stores are willing to take it back, ANYWHERE.
Considering they have to restock the thing, mark it down, fix it if necessary, and all the other jazz, don't expect much when trading in anything.

Stores do that when you trade in DVD boxsets too. I traded one in for $9 and I know they are selling if for at least $20.

Funny how prices change according to location. xD
