Bariest flew high into the atmosphere, observing the entirety of the land. Far off in the swamp, the angel saw it. Like a cancer on the earth, an evil rune was eaten into the swamp's line of trees. , Bariest thought. Sitting at it's edge was a rather large and ravenous aura, blacker than most so as to shadowed the areas around it. Almost in the same spot was the Bridge. To Bariest's senses the Bridge looked to be a flickering portal of dark purples and bloody reds, the demon seemed to be guarding it. What's worse, it had further defiled the already unholy place with their mark. That demon would prove a difficult fight with the alignments backing him.

Viellen had emerged from the shadows in the swamp in time to see Ingarhaad finish his desrtuction and...stand there!? What was he doing? Viellen then noticed the change in the air. Looking up, he saw a yellow glow high above the clouds. , he thought to himself. His chances of obtaining the book had just dropped significantly. His only opportunity would be to grab the book during the ensuing fight. He'd have to make sure Kairha was at the fight, however. Viellen sunk back into the shadows, mapping his insidious plans together.

Ingarhaad felt the Angel nearing, they had successfully duped it into coming their way. Kairha was undoubtedly out of it's sights as well. The large brute of a demon stood ready, he'd not battled on this plane for over eight centuries. In fact, for the last six hundred years or so, no Demon Warriors had stepped onto the plane of man. For ages, the only Demons that had crossed and battled in the realm had been the weakling Messangers. The angel was undoubtedly surprised at his pressence, and more than likely infuriated.

A silver glimmer flashed in the sky, and Ingarhaad knew the Angel had begun to charge. He would be here in moments, traveling the distance of miles in a few short seconds. The titan stanced himself to absorb the attack, a suicidal move had he been a mere messanger. "Hehehehaa! Yesss! Come to me, you ssstupid being. Let me rip your esssenssse apart!". Ingarhaad nodded to the shadows, signaling Zirikia that the time was fast approaching to spring their trap. He waited, leaning foward and poised with rancid weapon in hand.

"Where had he gone?", Kairha looked around at the trees, searching for any trace of Viellen. He hadn't followed her, apperantly. She looked down at the book in her hand, the Book of Black Herald. She had no idea what was in it, only that her Master had ordered her to retrieve it. Foolish woman, to trade such a precious item for a demon sword. The only real reason they had given it to her was because of it's abilities. While many demon swords had the power to destroy angels, the one traded could not be used by a demon. It was worthless to them.

A flash in the sky distracted the demoness from her thoughts. "The angel!", she thought. The flash was headed in the direction of the realm bridge. She wondered if her passage had not been compromised. The swamp was not too far away, she hoped she could make it in time to cross with the book. If the angel was victorious over Ingarhaad, she would not be able to get to the portal.

"Hey! Wait, godammit!" shouted Ryuko. He threw a tracking device which attached to the robe of the entity.

"Ok," said Ryuko, grabbing his PDA, "Let's follow him..."

Zirikia let a smirk twist onto her green features. Her frame concealed still but her eyes flashed slightly when she opened them. She could sense it getting closer, she would once again be back doing what she was meant to do. Taking hold of her metal ragged and rusted sais, looking up to the sky. The shadows still sheilding her, till she whished to leave this is where she was born, in the shadows the demoness Zirikia was in her element. She waited, breathing softly. Watching and waiting.

Bariest pulsed across the sky, a torch with which to extinguish evil. The woods turned grey beneath him, giving way to the mud and mire of the swampland. Streaming forth like a divine missle, Bariest blasted it's body into Ingarhaad's poised visage. A shower of holy sparks and flame burst in every direction, lighting for an instant the otherwise dreary and shadowed marsh. Steam hissed into the air, mud dried to powdery dirt, and branches and vines whithered from the immense heat in a large perimeter around the impact point.

When the debris and steam cleared the air, Bariest and Ingarhaad were both laying at opposing edges of the blasted circle. Bariest began to rise, lifting itself on it's spear. Ingarhaad simply groand and turned onto his hands and knees.

The angel recovered quickly, holding it's shield low. It raised it's spearwielding hand upward, about to thrust it toward the giant demon...

Moving in darkness she had waited till the time was right, till the angel believed Imgarhaad was the only one there. Using the shadows and he weak state of Bariest, Zirikia emerged behind him, moving with speed, fast and sure, she held in her left hand one of her sais pointing foreward to spear right into the back of the angel, the other across her lower right arm. Finally she ran it through, breaking the skin, aimming just below his left shoulder blade and smirking slightly.

Weary from the attack Bariest did not notice the presence of another demon. She'd snuck up on the Angel, her wretched weapons imbued with the ability to damage the angelkin. Pain seared through it's back. Bariest twisted in agony, throwing the demoness to the ground in a wild fit. The sai had stuck fast in place, buried halfway into the angel's back. Bariest flew into the air, hovering a safe distance from the it's attacker.
"You will pay for that!", Bariest howled. The angel's glow had dimmed a bit, but it still seemed to be going strong. Raising it's spear to the heavens, Bariest called down a storm of lightning. The bolts burning molten holes into the ground as they struck.

Ingarhaad began to pull himself up off the ground. He'd deflected the attack as best he could. Zirikia had managed to sidetrack the angel enough to buy him enough time to recover. Picking up his dropped weapon, Ingarhaad stood. "Come down here, coward, and finisssh, what you ssstarted!". He dodged a bolt of lightning, then readied himself for another attack.

Falling backwards with a nice loud thud, Zirikia hit the ground, laughing insanely although a little shaken. The angels words had reminded her just how fun the fight really was. "Then come to earth and fight like a proper warrior." She quickly moved to escape the lightening, one piece hitting her and burnig away the flesh on her right calf. She never made a sound that was more like a growl.

Viellen needed to stall everyone, then pit them all against each other. Only then did he have a chance of stealing the book. He emerged from the shadows to come infront of Kaki and Ryuko. "You seek the book, do you not?". the dark wraps that shrouded his boney frame seemed to melt into his shadow as he spoke to the elf and demon. "It is being contested for as we speak...I can help you get to it."

Kaki not seeing the being until he ran past him stopped running and turned. "Demon, to whom do ye serve, and what be your concern to us? What is your name?!"

"Haha, very funny," said Ryuko, pointing the Harbringer, with the chain still strapped to his arm, "What are you going to do if we agree and find it? Stab us in the back and take it for yourself?"

His other hand revealed the PDA, showing a wild moving red dot. Ryuko held on a button with a red circle on it. A window suddenly appeared on the screen, reading STANDING BY...

The PDA went black.

"I, as an elf, cannot distrust anyone until I have reason. You are however slowing us down and I don't have reason to trust." Said Kaki loudly as if he was annoyed.

"I am Viellen. Yes I am a demon, and in other circumstance would call myself your enemy. However, we have a common interest at the moment. Niether of us wish the book to fall into the possession of other entities. I offer a brief alliance, one that would last until said foes are relieved of the book." The demon became almost trasperant, touching the shadow behind a large boulder. His grey, knobby hand passed into the shadow. "You will not reach them in due time if left to yourselves, and I have little chance of taking it on my own accord. Do we have a deal?" he motioned to the swirling shadow of the boulder.

In the far distance, a sudden volly of lightning bursts struck at the ground. Smoke billowed into the sky as explosions resounded and echoed through the woods.

With the storm of lightning ending, Bariest swooped down once more. It's Spear thrusting downward at the two demons below. The wound on it's back bled a steady stream of glistening, white liquid upon the ground, Zirikia's Sai still embedded deep into Bariest's flesh. As the Angel charged forth, the stream turned to spatters across the burnt ground.

Ingarhaad sidestepped the attack with a quick jump, the angel's spear driving nto the ground in an eruption of sparks. As he manuvered through the air, he hefted his pestilence encrusted plank into Bariest's side. He pounded the angel aside, sending it reeling from the massive hit to it's shoulder. Bringing his weapon back up to stance, Ingarhaad laughed." HEHAAHAAA! You are sssure to die now! I'll ssswallow your sssoul!" Already a rotting, green tinge had begun to spread up the angel's arm.

Bariest felt the disease spread into his arm, infected by the demon's wicked armament. Infuriated, it leveled his spear and threw it at Ingarhaad with blistering speed. So intent was the Angel on the massive demon, he had lost track of the other.
