As Sionce caught the look on Fiach's face, as well as the nod, he gave a soft smile of thanks and exhaled lightly. He moved and placed his free hand over the middle of his chest and gently balled up the fingers. At least for now, everything was going smoothly.

"You think so too? Then I bet you'd like to hear about the time we played darts with Sionce, or the time we taught him how to swim with a broken arm and leg."

Emile pressed her cigarette between her lips as she moved to count things off on her fingers, apperantly the things all being stories she felt were 'funny'. Funny, of course, meant they were stories that involved Sionce being tortured or abused in some way or form and as she rounded over back on her hand it was clear that she had more than enough. She had eighteen years worth, apperantly.

"Emile...I think perhaps you should rest for a while. I know that flight must have been long, and you're probably tired so-"

Sionce's sentence was cut short as Emile's hand ran across the back of his face, causing him to real abck in surprise and drop her luggage onto the ground. The cigarette that Emile had been smoking dropped to the ground as she bit the filter off with her clenched teeth,a nd she glared at Sionce while daring him to speak once again.

"[I DARE you to speak to me again like that, you little piece of s**t.]"

Her voice wasn't raised, she wasn't yelling, yet her sentence held enough force in it to attract the stares of several people around them. Of course she'd spouted it in French so that drew some attention, but the fact that she had just cold-cocked a boy who was a good bit taller than her without any provoking was the real head-turner.

"[You think living here away from France has made you man enough to talk back to me? You think you've finally got the balls that you can talk to me however you want?]"

She reached into over and grabbed Sionce by the arm, her nails digging into his flesh enough that little 'v-marks' of blood started to appear and stain the white fabric.

"[Come with me, we need to have a little talk.] And you-"

She switched back to English.

"Stay there, or you'll see something you'll regret."

Listening to the girl drone on and on about torturing his friend made Fiach's hands twitch. He wanted desperately to do something, and his street brawling days made him want to hit something. Hard. Glancing around at all the people watching, though, he realized he couldn't very well do a thing.

As she told him not to come along and caught sight of the blood on Sionce's arm, his eyes narrowed. "I don't take orders from anyone. That includes you." Glancing at Sionce and hoping he wasn't going to cause his friend more pain he added, "Why don't we get you home? In the comfort of a home, I'm sure you can find your pleasures that much more easily." He almost winced at the suggestion of her being able to hurt his friend better in the comfort of a home, hidden from the public view, and with more tools at her disposal. But he prayed that it was enough to get her to drop Sionce's arm and get in the cab. Giving him more time to come up with something to do to help Sionce.

"Feh, you're a little cocky sort too, aren't you? But no thanks, why don't you go on ahead? My little brother and I need to have a nice, private chat and if it happens, we'll catch up with you later."

With that Emile turned and started to drag Sionce off towards another area of the drop-off point, somewhere she knew would probably not have people. Even though Emile wasn't from here and din't know anything about this location, she knew very well each spot on the planet had places there usually was no one - every spot.

"[You, you'd better not try to struggle either. You'll only make it worse on yourself if you do.]"

Her voice hissed in Sionce's ears as they walked away, and before they could reach a corner to turn Sionce turned his head over his shoulder and shot one more look at Fiach - a look that was made of a smile and a faint movement of his lips.

'I'm...sorry, but...don't...don't come...'

As Emile took Sionce away, Fiach desperately wanted to follow. He took a few steps afterwards, concern showing plainly on his face, but at Sionce's request...he faltered. His feet wouldn't move, he just stood there, like a statue. Fiach wasn't sure what was about to happen, but he knew it couldn't possibly be good. Not if Sionce looked as scared as he did. His hands twitched again as he tried to make himself follow, but the look he'd been given glued his feet to the cement. People walking by stared at him, but he couldn't see them. He could only think frantically about what might be happening once they disappeared around that corner.

"[You've grown more cocky since you escape from us, haven't you?]"

Emile was right in thinking she'd find a place where no one could find them, a place that would be devoid of all people. and once she arrived she quickly pushed Sionce against the wall with an angry toss.

"[Does it give you pleasure to think you're a man now?]"

Sionce was by no means a pushover, but it was more of the fear of the woman in front of him that allowed him to be tossed around like a rag doll. As his elbows contacted against the texture of the wall he winced, but still said nothing.

"[Oh well, not that it matters. I've still got cards over you, as I can see you're shitting yourself just being around me.]"

Emile reached into her pocket and pulled out another cigarette, and as she lit it she took a long drag and exhaled it into Sionce's face. He coughed, but the coughing was cut short as he felt the sting of hot cinder burn onto his skin. Looking down he noticed Emile had hold of one of his arms, her hand about his wrist with her talon-like fingers. In her other hand she held the lit cigarette, and with another moment of glee she pulled it back and pressed down against his skin once more.

"[!!!]"

Sionce pulled his arm back and away at the second burning, knocking Emile slightly off her balance and a few feet away. The motion hadn't meant to be as strong as it actually was, and Sionce's face paled deeper as he watched Emile rub a red spot on her cheek that was sure to bruise. The look in her eyes as she pushed on the welt and sucked in at the pain made his blood run cold, and Sionce could almost feel what was coming next already.

God, he thought to himself, someone...help me.

Pacing back and forth in a twitchy manner, Fiach thought about Trisste begging him for help, the look Sionce had thrown him, and how much Emile seemed to enjoy Sionce's pain. He wanted to listen to his friend and stay put, he really did...but the thought of her torturing him more than she clearly had in the past while he stood and did nothing was really too much for him. The people around him began to whisper things like, "Maybe he's on something..." and finally, he couldn't take it anymore.

Glowering at everyone, he took off at a spring towards where he had seen Emile and Sionce last. Glancing down every alleyway as he went, until finally he saw two familiar figures down one. Seeing Sionce cowered against a wall, he wondered what the heck had happened while he'd been pacing around like a fool.

"Sionce!"

He took a few steps down the alleyway, hesitating as he tried to decide what to do.

Sionce looked up as his name was called, and for a moment a look of pure relief crossed his features before it was replaced with one of concern. If...if Fiach came down here, what would happen? Surely Sionce could get out of this sitation all on his own, but...he couldnt' bring himself to hit his sister no matter what she was doing to him.

"Fiach!"

It startled him beyond all reason, however, when he heard himself call Fiach's name. He hadn't meant to - it wasn't even a thought in his mind - but as the echo of the last bit floated past his ears his face lit up bright red and he quickly turned his face to look at Emile.

She was not pleased, and she grabbed his wrist once more and moved to drag him away, her fingers pressing against the dozen or so fresh burns she had just inflicted.

Seeing Emile grab his friend once more spurred Fiach into action. He wasn't really sure what he was going to do, but began a fast sprint down the alleyway. Sionce's voice had held a hint of pain and struggle, not something Fiach had expected hearing, and something he couldn't bear to listen to.

His long legs quickly carried him to Sionce's side. Fiach grabbed Emile's hand and pried her lose from Sionce. Accidentally yanking her a few feet away from his friend in the process.

After one quick look at Sionce, he didn't really care what she did to him. He'd had to listen to her gloating on the way to the car, Trisste's pleas for him to save Sionce, and he'd had enough of looking at Sionce's pained face. Glaring into Emile's eyes, he silently dared her to try something. He didn't normally like to hit girls, but he had a feeling hitting Emile wouldn't make him feel bad one bit.

Emile whirled back as she felt Fiach pull her off and away from her brother, and as she finally regained her composure she turned and looked at the pair with a look of disgust and anger on her face.

"[Figured as much. Boss my a**, you're just a pair of fags.]"

She rubbed her arm where Fiach had touched her as if she was trying to clean it off before it got infected or something. The rubbing stopped, however, when her gaze fully caught Sionce's face and the expression of relief he wore upon it.

How DARE he.

"Sionce, sweetie, come here."

Her voice was sickening as she called out to her brother, and Sionce felt himself hesitate a moment before his body automatically took a step towards Emile's angry frame.

Every ounce of his body knew it would be better to just run away, and part of him was ready to book it, but the fear of eighteen years of abuse made it so he couldn't even get his head turned away from her. It had been practically burned into his body, the will to obey her every command, so he felt himself take another step away from Fiach and towards his sister.

"[Emile....I....]"

His comment once again was cut short as Emile pulled yet another cigarette out from her pocket and lit it, this time not even hesitating to smash it down against the open palm of her brother's hand. Sionce winced and pulled himself backwards, his eyes open wide and his body shaking.

I can't escape from her, even with him here. I...can't escape from her.

Seeing his friend walk to his torture, burned Fiach up inside. He didn't know what she had said in French, but as soon as her cigarette touched Sionce's open palm, everything went red. He wasn't normally violent towards women, but the glee she took from harming another person was enough to make him momentarily overlook the fact that he was raised to never hit a woman.

As soon as Sionce had stepped backwards, Fiach took his place. His face a mask of anger as he raised his left hand and struck Emile across the face with the back of his hand. A vicious smile tugged at his lips as he reverted to his old brawler behavior and settled himself into an easy fighting stance. He didn't know if Emile could fight, but he didn't plan on being caught off guard. She clearly enjoyed hurting people, and he wasn't about to let her continue to do so.

Keeping his glare on Emile, he turned his head slightly, "You all right, Sionce?"

Emile spun back and almost landed off her feet as Fiach took a swing at her, and she cursed him with her eyes as she turned on her heel and regained what balance she had lost.

Almost as quickly she had crossed the distance and struck Fiach in the jaw with a left hook, her eyes sharp as she pulled her hands back in preparation for the counterattack, which came fast and strong. It caught her slightly off-guard as it smashed against the side of her face, and she felt the bitter taste of iron leak over her lips where she'd bitten a side of her ******** pulled her arm back to prepare another punch when from the corner of her eye she saw Sionce step in between, his frame towering over her already bent one. He had his back to Fiach and was glaring start down at her, his hands in front like he was preparing to stop her through force if needed.

"[How ********' hilarious. You won't raise a hand to defend yourself, but you'll protect your a** hag?]"

"[I'm protecting my sister from my friend.]"
PostPosted: Mon Nov 19, 2007 8:00 pm

When Emile's fist made contact with Fiach's jaw, his eyes exploded with colors. But he kept his vicious grin when he threw his own punch. He was a street brawler accustomed to fighting and not letting the pain show until later. Wincing was a sign of weakness and weakness could be your downfall in a fight. But that didn't stop him from thinking about how it had hurt to be hit on the jaw.

s**t. That girl can punch.

A primal growl erupted from between his teeth as Sionce stepped between the two. He didn't really want his friend to step in between them, because he was afraid he would get hurt. Almost Fiach shoved his friend aside, he'd just started to have fun, but as soon as they started to speak, he decided to stand down. Taking a step back, he stood at his full height, still ready to go again if it became necessary, but willing to let Sionce handle his sister.

"[I haven't fallen so far from my grace days that I need a f** to protect me.]"

Emile cocked her head to the side and punched her fists together, a clear throw to what her 'grace days' actually meant - boxing. That's what Sionce had meant by iron first, but who really was to tell?

"[Graces days or no he's a brawler, not a boxer. You may have more technique, but he's got more stamina. You won't stand a chance...and I....don't want you to be hurt.]"

Sionce looked down at Emile with a small glance of pity, one that wasn't wasted on the older girl. She quickly sucked in her breath and punched her brother in the ribcage, her face lighting up as she heard the contact of fist on bone. Sionces mouth open as he coughed up a bit of spit and staggered, but once more he stood up as he covered his stomach with one hand and his mouth with the other.

"[Told you, I don't need your protection. If you think you can-]"

It was almost as if today was the day of conversation stoppers, as Emile's was cut short by Sionce himself. He pulled his hand back and slapped her squarely across the face, her cheeks stinging brightly from the impact and her eyes moistening from the shock of the delivery boy.

"[Sionce...you...]"

"Fiach, let's go. Please...let's go."

Sionce turned and grabbed Fiach's left hand, preparing to drag him away if he must. They left Emile behind (which proved to be harder than he thought, as Fiach was literally dragging his feet with the desire not to go), and Sionce knew they had to get enough ground between them and her before he could break down and cry from pain and suffering.

Fiach really hated it when these two started talking in French. He couldn't understand a word of it, just knew they were arguing. Another growl left his mouth as Emile punched her brother. He took a half step forward, but halted as Sionce stood back up again and slapped his sister. A satisfied smile touched his lips, as his friend finally stood up for himself.

Brought back to the moment when Sionce grabbed his arm, Fiach dragged his feet as long as he could before feeling bad, and keeping pace with Sionce. A look at his friend's face showed him this wasn't the time to be a stubborn brawler, but a supporting friend. As soon as he was walking side by side with Sionce, he snatched his hand away - it looked rather awkward for them to be walking down the street hand in hand, after all.

Though he wanted to say something, he knew it might be better if he waited to speak to Sionce until he said something first. But the concern and worry remained apparent on his face as he watched Sionce closely as they strode off.

As Fiach dropped his hand out of Sionce's as the pair prgoressed down the road, the youth felt almost all the reserve he have left in him start to slip away. His body ached beyond any reasoning and swinging his arms caused the fabric to irritate the fresh burns, causing him to wince and pause for a moment before looking around for somewhere.

It seemed as soon as he found it, Sionce took a quick turn and made his way towards an alley, not caring if Fiach actually followed him after this point. He only wanted a place where he could be away from the public eye and away from his sister.

He wanted his mask, he wanted to hide his face, so badly that as soon as he could make it into the darkness of the alley he slowly dropped down and buried it into his hands. The overwhelming smell of garbage didn't compare to the scent of singed flesh that radiated from his palm, and he felt something inside of him slowly start to shake.

It was only when he heard the sound of another figure enter the small area that Sionce lifted his head from where he'd been crouching, and at the sight of Fiach he felt a bit of his resolve shake even more. A single tear rolled down his cheek, followed by several more, as he felt the self-control he'd been holding onto since that morning crumbled away.

Getting to his feet and walking a few feet so he was amost close enough to touch Fiach, Sionce took one look at Fiach before he hiccuped and let out a wail, leaning into his friend's shoulder and crying loudly.
