Zombicide might I add that of course tango will say no because the only real shooters he's ever showed fandom and excitement for were Metroid Prime 3, and Battalion Wars? and although Gears of War had too much gore, it was still an excellent shooter, and this is NOT a Gears of War bash. don't point that finger solely at Gears of War.....remember, all of those RPG's that you guys enjoy so much are loaded with sexual references. an example, you ask? take a nice good look at every female character in those games, and you'll know what I mean.....damn, even the men look like whores too! It's not the only 3d shooter I play. Mind you, none of them have blood spurt out every time something dies. (except MP3. Whether or not it's blood is open to debate for that game) Now, blood can be used for drama and I won't get annoyed. I know what you mean. 8/10 girls in Radiant Dawn aren't covered very well, especially Heather, and that sexy wolf lady. Thing is, I like teh sexeh girls. mrgreen Otherwise, I wouldn't go to sites dedicated to Rule 34. This topic is very subject to personal preferences. Let's try and remember that.

I don't want someone to make a very very insensitive remark that could offend anyone as this topic can step into very delicate territory since some of this can lead to religion and beliefs. For example, if we were discussing abortion, saying bluntly that an embryo is just a group of cells/a small organism no different than bacteria is a very intensive remark. Especially as a human being embryo clearly can't be put in the same category as mere bacteria/lower life forms. It's fine if you believe otherwise but watch to make sure you aren't offending anyone by saying it. Therefore just everyone watch what they say since this a sensitive thread and people can get offended real quick. Now to discuss sex in video games. Can there be too much? Is it ok to have in some games but it don't belong in others? What do consider to be sexual references?

In my case, that's a pretty hard point to reach in s game, but if it interferes with other gameplay aspects, most definetly. B. If we wanted to be realky lose, we could say that anything that steps into the boundaries of genders can be sexual references. Even overstressing the word "woman" can cause distress in some people. Obviously, it has to be noticable in a decent amount of the media for a society to detect it. Most people's minds work on these little "buzzers" that seem to raise something's rating immediatly. If it there was a semi-nude girl, the media will automatically become PG-13. Additionally, it doesn't matter how revealing outfits are, it doesn't actually become mature until genitalia or tits show. I've also noticed that ratings boards are much less strict when it comes to men. They can go topless and it's completely fine for everything except for a really young kid's show. I shudder to think what logic they could have came up with for that. Also, is it just me, or is censorship on a rapid decline lately? Really, I think it would be nice if people were a lot more lenient when it came to sex in games. Yes, I'm talking about sex in games seriously for once. Imagine that.

well, this topic can get out of hand with opinions and all (I personally think abortions are right because killing an embryo is like killing a carrot. carrots are living and develop, but can't think or feel. the same goes for an embryo). well, what do I consider sexual themes? if a girl (or guy) is dressed in an expilcit outfit that shows off parts that should be covered, then it's a sexual reference. but unfortunatly, you see almost every game out there where the guys have no shirts on and tight clothes that show off their overdone 6-packs, and as for girls.....well, I think you know what I'm about to say.

If a game isn't a Sex game then why would it be randomly thrown in there? I'm not going to be playing gears of war and I enter a building and start ******** a girl. Subtle references are fine and should be seen as such. The type of sexual references like the one mentioned in the being from GTA and I've seen a clip of that and I don't see how that has anything to do with the game. I think more and more games are having the clothes like you said. I many many of the situations it isn't even necessary.

You see Yaoi, Yuri, Hentai, etc based on games out there. I'm sure some of the characters being sexually appealing with the type of clothes you mentioned encourages it.

Princess Daisy's winning stance made it look like she was stripping for someone. bottom line: sexual references add nothing awesome to a game. you see a girl with huge, heaving boobs in a game like DoA or Virtua Fighter that's supposed to have "realistic fighting mechanics", when all that adds is unrealism. that makes the game a bit disturbing to play as well.....

Hehe. That'd be bad, if A: The whole point of Metroid games was to get all power-ups to see Samus in something sexy. I swear, that's the point of the game. B: (assuming we've moved from fighters with sexy girls to SSBB) SSBB was not really meant to be realistic. It's the game where Ike can beat up Mario. Besides, Snake likes it. XD As for Peach and Daisy, they've never really had a set personality. In Mario RPG, Peach could actually fight, now she's absoluty defenseless, so who's to say she can't become a stripper? Is it good to stereotype like that? I don't think so, but I still enjoy it. mrgreen Also, Nintendo may very well restart those pleasure hotels it once had.

1. tango, I have lost all faith I once had in you.....
2. the point of Metroid was to beat the Mother Brain, not to see Samus in a bikini. if that was the point, then that would have been the only ending.
3. notice how you've been the only one in this topic to support sex in video games.....
4. I never mentioned SSBB being realistic. and Ike could beat up a fat a** plumber like Mario any day.
