[Hawkeye] stare I hate it when people say that about Riza... "I love Riza and her guns!" Doesn't anyone look at the loyalty? the sense of a soldier? I mean, even the way she keeps her calm when everyone else feels like giving up? they only thing shes cool because of the gun they always say guns but i only see one

I like Hawkeye alot. Mainly because of her loyalty twords Roy, and the fact she will kick his a** to keep him in line. She is the only one left who can do that. (the other would be Hughes but alas he is gone.)
My favorite Hawkeye moment would be spoiler When Winry find out that Roy killed her parents and asked round about questions about it to Riza. When Winry more or less said that Roy didn't deserve the loyalty, the cold look Riza gave her when she told her it wasn't her desition sent shivers down my spine.
I actualy like Winry, but I think she is the most intrusting when she starts hanging out with Sceskia.

Sceskia is the girl who memorizes books. She developes a theory invoving aliens, and Winry helps her investigate it. sweatdrop Her and Winry become good freinds, and I like Winry best after their freindship develops.

He is, however, a major dork.
That aside, I totally agree that Riza Hawkeye is probably one of the best anime female characters of all time. She's not wimpy, has a spine, and isn't afraid to take action if it means that she can do what she thinks is right. She'll take a stand when and where it counts, and will do whatever she must to protect those that are dearest to her. If you f*ck with Riza, she'll f*ck you right back, tenfold. However, behind the mask of a cold, calculating sniper is a woman, like any other woman, with dreams and ambitions of her own. She's caring and compassionate, and can even be maternal towards characters such as Edward and Alphonse.
Simply put, she kicks major ass.
As for Winry, she's a little bit of the old mixed in with the new. Sure, she may seem annoying to some people (whether this is because of fangirl jealousy or just because Winry's personality irks someone, I have no idea), but the girl is tough. She won't take crap from anybody, and if you piss her off, she'll make sure you know it. She cares deeply for those people that she is close to, and holds a strong platonic bond between herself and the Elric brothers. She understands those two better than anyone else in the anime does, so if something's wrong with the two of them, she'll probably be the first to notice. Kind, caring, and feisty, Winry is probably one of those few good things in life that the Elric brothers still have.
Simply put, she's one hell of a best friend.

Roy: Just in case something happens to me, go and escape on your own.
Riza: I don't want to.
Roy: It's an order.
Riza: I can't consent to that.
Roy: Stubborn, aren't you? Even if you can't stomach the order, you'll have to swallow it.
Riza: I like to say that i have an honest personality.
Roy: I'm happy that i have a subordiante who has a strong will like you. I understand. I'll definitly come back so wait.
Riza: Yes sir. I wish you luck.
This is one of my favorite Hawkeye manga scenes. I don't have one with Winry because she's kinda annoying, but i know she's like Ed's shoulder to cry on. Hawkeye is better in my opinion.

Said something like, "Flame Alchemist Colonel Mustang uses the name of women as a code." Friends and i were laughing about that. Then my friend asks if he ever used Riza's name. A mystery left forever unanswered...

Actually, i'm starting to like Winry more in the manga. I hate how that sometimes happens. It's like, you read the manga and some characters are either better or worse and the same in the manga. But i like Winry, especially in volume 4, so far. She whacks sense into Al when he's fighting with Ed. And i liked how Ed thought Winry was cute when she was telling Ed about her error. That was cute...
