I agree with you, rocket zombie, I'm never satisfied no matter how many times I look at my avi. lol Now I have to change it every day since it always looks off.

I'm just trying to do what I can with the items I have. Which is unfortunately very little. I'll stock up on a bunch of common-ish items and see where I can go from there, I think.
For people who aren't satisfied with their avatars, yours are pretty good, Miss Love Tantei and rocket zombie. 3nodding

How do you all go about making an outfit for your avatar?
I usually start with one particular item, and then the outfit just grows from there.

I start with an idea most of the time, though this idea depends on what kind of stuff I do have already. For example, I think "Ravenclaw Student" and then start putting it together, adding items that I think match as I go along. For the most part, my avatars have a theme or idea holding them together. This one is kind of sort of "light magic." I've got one for Darkness in mind, and most of the stuff necessary for it, but it wasn't quite right for the Christmas season.

Junimaia How do you all go about making an outfit for your avatar?
I usually start with one particular item, and then the outfit just grows from there. At the moment, I'm working with whatever inventory I have. xd But on TekTek, I tend to pick some colours and build around those. My favourite avatar that I've made on TekTek is green, blue, white, and yellow, because I love the pixie wings and want to use those in virtually every avatar, so most avatars I make will have hints of white in there. I chose the other colours because they're bright and vibrant. I intend to make a slightly Hufflepuff-esque avatar, and that should be fun. whee

I usually start my avi off with a top and then go from there. If there's a holiday coming up, I pick off items that have to do with the certain holiday and coordinate the outfit from there. I'd love to make an avi that I can keep around for at least a week without changing it...so far I'm still experimenting

You've got so much red and white going in there that the green looks out of place. Either add more green, or take out the green that is there, to balance it out.
