The male shuffled forward to show he was ready for the walk. Just how far the lake was, he didn't know. But he at least knew the general direction. "First time, eh? Well that's a nice memory to hold dear." If anything, she should look to that in times of being sad. It'd be something to relive and smile towards.
Maw faultered to the sudden question for himself to answer, and Ronan found his paws moving forward. It'd help him split his focus and start the walk if anything. "My story? Now there's a dusty book..." There was only one other who knew his past, and that's only cause they grew it together. Still, it be interesting to see how much he could retell. Even if it was in a detached fashion. "Let's see. Got seperated from my herd. Met my best friend. Got these pair of white eyes. Traveled from location to location. Friend is now settled down. And...that's it." That was his life story in a nutshell. Where he left off was now the present, and he still roamed just as much as he had in the past. Not much to tell.

Hanta listened intently. He was separated from his herd? How sad... And the eyes were a little surprising. He didn't seem to have a hard time seeing, but maybe it wasn't as good as it had been?
"That is a lot to happen..." Her voice was very sincere. Even though he had not described it in great detail, just the list seemed like it would be quite the story to happen to someone.
"If there is anything I can do for you, please et me know. I owe you so much..."

A simple shrug was given. "Not too much, considering the time is more than the events." Ronan flickered a grin to the butterfly as they walked. "Though I must admit, it gets old seeing things in almost black and white." Things like details on his friend's furs, or the vibrance of the seasons were missed out too often. He was lucky to have sight at all, so desaturated colors weren't too much to complain about.
His blue spotted ears wiggled in dry amusement. "Heh, you owe me nothing. A shoulder to cry on is free." No charge there.

"I see. At least you still have your sight, that is something to be thankful for." She smiled. It was than she was realizing the things she still had to be thankful for, especially a shoulder to cry on. It wasn't too long before the lake was in view on the other side of the small hill. The surface was calm and resembled a large shining mirror, reflecting the sky above. Hanta's eyes lit up a little as she laid eyes upon it again. It always did that to her, raised her hopes. Her wings fluttered a few times before calming down.

Ronan nodded almost mechanically to that answer. He had heard that all before, that his sight was sparred and he should be thankful. And in all honesty he was, but shrugging at it was simply normal for him. Paws moved smoothly across the hill, before they reached the bend and finally caught view of the lake. From this distance, it appeared like a giant piece of glass laid serenely in the meadow.
Eyes turned to the shift of black to his side, and Ronan smirked crookedly. At least there was something this butterfly still felt joy for. Tails swept quietly behind him, often brushing his heels. "I guess this is it. Hopefully you'll do well to eat often, eh?" He laughed a short but deep laugh. "Who knows, maybe we'll even visit each other during the winter?"

Hanta looked over to Ronan and nodded. "Yes, I hope we do meet again, and I promise I will take better care of myself."
Her wings fluttered. "Thank you again. You've helped so much."
