"Thanks for the invatation, and I would, but I don't think I'd fit easily, unless you didn't mind your stairs being widened a few feet or so," she said, trying to act sarcastic, but her mood had lightened visibly. "However, even if I could get in, I have to get back and finish some of my cavern soon, so I have somewhere to sleep." With that, Typhoon gave a quick goodbye and folded her wings to her body, beginning to walk towards the scent of her pond. She would have to walk, because the dragons she had seen earlier might still be out, and she didn't want to risk flying. So she paced quietly through the forest, watching the deer, small mammals, and songbirds that walked, fluttered, or scurried curiously over to her. It lightened her mood even more, so by the time she reached the pond she was content and ready to make it her home. She slipped into the water, barely making a splash. She easily found the entrance, swam in, and pulled herself into the cavern. Her tounge clicked; sending out vibrations; and she was relieved when she found small air vents using the vibrations. She would only need to dig a couple then. Knowing her air supply was fine, she paced towards a wall, and tapped her claw on it. She did this every few feet. Doing this, she discovered many hollow places in the walls; possibly pockets of air or even tunnels leading to the other caverns she needed. She then glided over to the first hollow spot she had found, and began to dig, clearing the dirt to one side every so often. She would do something with that later.

Irene shrugged. She went into the hole, and took a left closer to the tree. There were stairs inside the trunk of the tree, and by the time she got to the top she was in the branhes. But she used her power to make it have the same strength and setting as a home. There was a window that overlooked the whole forest. The waterfalls, the caves, everything. Irene sighed and walked to her bedroom to take a small nap.

Typhoon paused, having dug out a lot of dirt. The wall was very thin now, and she didn't want it to come crashing down on her. Delicately she sunk one claw into the wall and pulled out a little chunk of it. She then looked through the hole. It was small, but she could see. It lead to a short tunnel, then another cavern. Excitedly she pulled the rest of the wall down and wandered inside. It was a bit smaller than the first, and appearently the stream that flowed through the main one came out on this side, flowed halfway through, then came to a ledge and fell off into a pool, complete with waterfall. Even better, she noticed, the ground sloped gently on both sides to provide any walking creature easy access to the pool. Her eyes bright, Typhoon walked through the tunnel back into the main room. She immeadiately walked over to the second hollow spot she had found and began to dig. The wall was thinner than last time; it collapsed almost right after she began. It lead to another tunnel, and a small cavern. "Storage room," she murmured before going on to the third. After digging, she found it was a medium-lengthed but steep tunnel that lead to a fairly big cavern. She figured if she ever had guests over and the stream flooded, she could take them here and they'd be alright until then. Finally she came to the fourth and final side cavern. As the last bits of dirt fell away, she discovered it was a steep but fairly big tunnel. It was also long, she discovered, after climbing through it. The tunnel lead to a small chamber almost at the surface. Typhoon figured she would dig out a last route and make it her escape route to the surface. Sighing, she half walked, half skidded down to the main chamber once more.

Irene looked troubled as she slept. Nightmares haunted her, and she began to sweat. Irene woke up and saw she was alone. After calming down she went to get a drink of water. Her water source was a little stream nearby. She washed her face and looked at her reflection in the water. A drop of water fell into the stream from her eye, but the drop didn't origionally come from the stream. Irene watched the ripple her teardrop had started.

Typhoon looked around in satifaction. The place was very rough, but that didn't matter much. Her scales could smooth them out over time. Her eyes glimmered as she rubbed against the walls to smooth and shape them. It would take a while though, so when she got bored with it Typhoon left her rough home and searched the pond and surrounding area for "treasures"- mostly shiny, bright, or hard items, such as bird's feathers and stones.

Irene saw beyond her reflection something glimmering. She reached for it under the cold water. It was smooth and captured the sunlight easily. It was sort of flat, and as big as the the palm of her hand. Not counting the fingers. It was a finely poished stone. 'A lion's eye...' She thought. One of the most beautifu stones she's ever seen.

Typhoon soon after decided she would collect odd things that were beautiful in their own way, like a twisted branch or a smooth rock. She had found many items like that so far, but hadn't collected them. Typhoon rose out of her pond, dripping with both water and curiosity. The pond was pretty neat, and she couldn't be sure, but she thought there might be a hidden mineral deposit just beside it. Typhoon pushed these thoughts away and glided into the woods, searching. She soon found a large piece of rose quartz half-buried in the ground. She quickly dug it up and carried it with ease back to the pond, where she would clean it until it sparkled like the rose quartz it was. She landed quickly, choosing a flat stone that stuck out over the water. She dunked it in the water a few times, then began cupping water in her "paws" and pouring it over. After she was satified no more dirt could be simply washed away, she wrapped her long, scaled tail around it and rubbed it against the surface of the stone. The effect came much later when the dirt began to rub off onto her scales.

Irene had put the lion's eye away in her room. She grew bored, and decided to enjoy what was life. And so, began just aimlessly walking the forest.

Typhoon continued to polish the quartz using her tail, occasionally moving her tail to see how far she had gotten.

Irene heard the nature around her, and then something strange. Her heart raced. "Oh no."

Typhoon finished up on her quartz for the day and dove into the water, clinging to the rock. She sped up the entrance and into her cavern. Quietly she set the stone down in a shallow part of the water, where it glimmered slightly. Then Typhoon glided over to the small bank near the opposite edge, and lay down. She spread her wings out to let the water drip off them, then eased into a light sleep.

There was an explosive sound, like one of a gunshot. Irene ran as fast as she could, then turned into a cheetah to quicken her pace. By the time she got to where she needed to be she was exausted. There she was. "Delilah!" Delilah laughed evilly. "Oh, I''m sorry. Did I scare you?" Irene growled and turned normal. "Fire and earth dosen't mix well, Delilah. If I were you I'd leave." Delilah laughed. "Oh, I will. But you're coming with me." There was a scream from the forest.

Typhoon raised her head, looking irratated. "Probably just a predator catching its next meal, but..." Typhoon trailed off, looking uncomfortable. She had the distinct feeling something was up. Snorting with irritation, she rose and and climbed up her escape exit. Quickly she dug the rest of it out and climbed out into the moonlight. She looked around, spotted a large boulder, and rolled it over her exit. "I wonder..." she muttered, looking worried as the scream echoed throughout her mind, over and over again. With that, she closed her eyes and concentrated. A blue layer of light envoloped her snout and spread down the length of her body, though not covering her spines, wings, eyes, mouth, nostrils, and claws. When it stopped, a rock-hard layer of icy armor covered her body. She flexed her wings, and the ice "rippled" to move with it. She grinned. "I thought I couldn't do it," she murmured, then spread her wings and took off. The now blue dragon hovered in the air a moment, getting used to the weight of the armor, then tore off towards the scream.

Irene was engulfed in a flaming sphere. Unable to move, and unable to defend. "Delilah, let me go!" Delilah laughed. "Fat chance SIS, do have any idea how long I've been waiting for this opportunity?" Irene grabbed an arrow and her bow. She aimed at her sister and fired. It grazed Delilah's arm, and a small trickle of blood left. "Ah! You hit me?!" Irene looked sad. "I don't want to hurt you Delilah, but I can't let the plan succeed either." Delilah clenched her teeth. "I'll kill you!"

Typhoon glided through the air, though she looked a bit tired. The icy armor was making it harder to fly. She concentrated harder, not noticing a dark silhouette drop behind her. Then it spoke with an icy hiss. "The Dragon Father will reward me well for giving him your head, Typhoon!"
