TM: Boy, you sure want the lonely hero thing. blaugh How about a Goddess then? biggrin heart Just kidding. biggrin blaugh I do wonder why it was such a big deal that when he ate the pancakes the demons were so upset...was it the eggs or sugar in them? *ponders* Has HB ever had an encounter with an angel? biggrin

Angels are absent from the series except for the flashbacks to the creation of the universe. I think it's because they want nothing to do with earth or the humans. The reason the pancakes are bad is that they are a very human thing that represents family and love and whatnot. Mammon and Astaroth are upset because they know they'll never get him to come back to the House of the Fly. Astaroth tries in a later issue and tells him that he's always welcome, but Hellboy says no. And yes, I am Hellbent (AHAHA) on the lonely hero thing. Canon is on my side. twisted

TM: Oh I see. biggrin I kinda think of 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' when I think of HB. I saw some of the preview of 'Strange tales 2'...HB's vacation in hell... eek rofl I don't think he would go, but it is funny that the artist drew that though. blaugh I do wonder if he may or might have an encounter with an angelic being or a fallen angel in future comics?

Vacation in Hell is one of my favorites. "Day 5: Island of Beautiful Women. Day 6: Escape from Island of Beautiful Women." I don't think there's gonna be anything with the angels. The current story arc has more to do with witches than anything else. I think mostly it's going to be more drama involving HB's dad.

TM: blaugh I guess HB is a little more shy around women than he lets on. rofl The uhh....bottom trumpets crack me up. lol HB's Dad hmmmm, I wonder if he will finally meet him or if he has officially met him yet...I bet he would punish him for being a 'good' demon instead of a bad one. twisted

You're both wrong. In the comics, his father was a Prince who ruled over the witches in England. His mom was one of the witches. Hellboy learned it all through a dream his father sent him. (His dad looks a LOT like him, but less human.) In the movies, his father is referred to as the Fallen One. That's it. It's not Rasputin. I promise.

TM: Oh. biggrin I knew it was some demon or such. Still I wonder how much power HB's 'father' will have over him if he meets him. And if it was a dream...how much of it was true or lie? stare They say never trust a demon.

It was straightforward, not something a demon would need to lie about. He looks like this:

TM: My jaw dropped and I said, OMG! when I saw HB's dad in the comic. eek I am just a skeptical sort and can see how a vision could be falsly implanted or left for him to find. 3nodding It is too bad that HB has not met Spawn, they would have much to talk about and would have tons in common. blaugh
