Zulu frowned at the stallion, before shaking her head slowly. "Are you serious? Other animals get very mad when you mess with their territory. I know I get pissed off myself, since others should learn to stay away." Just like the stallion, and his inability to STAY AWAY. But despite that thought, maybe he really was clueless. Zulu was kind enough to help.. or something. Or at least knock some common sense into this mer.
"Someone interesting would mean someone pissed off. And don't be running and crying to me if you get hurt." With a light scoff, Zulu started to swim off in the direction they came, while watching the area below them. "Now um, what's this you say about a giant ghost fish? I don't even know what that means." Was this stallion crazy? She didn't doubt it.. "Are you just making stuff up?"

Castellan just blinked a bit, but his grin returned just as brightly as ever. Zulu's hint went right over his head. "I don't want to mess with the place, I just want to see it, and meet someone interesting who's maybe not angry."
He trailed along right behind her, not ready to give up his company for some exploring he could easily save for later if she didn't want to explore and continue to search for ducklings with him. "And I wouldn't need to run, if something tried to hurt me I could just... beat it up or something. I'm strong, I could take on a shark if I really wanted to. Or a ghost fish." His babbling just didn't let up, but the more he talked the more excited he seemed to get. "And I don't know for sure if there's a ghost fish, but wouldn't that be neat? I've never met a ghost fish before."

What the hell, the stallion was babbling again! "Is that what you do? Search around for anybody to bother?" She turned back to look at him, but couldn't help grin at the same time. The stallion was something she was not used to, and he was driving her nuts! But in a way, she was enjoying it. She would never admit that, though.
"Oh you could beat something up? That would probably be the must entertaining thing to watch!" With a laugh, she watched the bubbles leave her mouth while pondering the thought even more. I think you are too nice to do that sort of thing, you dont' seem tough enough. But hey, I could be totally wrong." She continued to chuckle before stopping herself at his other comments. "Ok.. ghost fish? Seriously, what the heck is that!? You are driving me nuts. I certainly have never seen this 'fish'." She had seen lots of fish, but never one that was called a ghost fish. "Is this just a figment of your imagination?" He did have quite a mind of his own..

Castellan simply grinned back at her first comment. She knew he didn't go looking to bother people, he just wanted to talk to them, and go on adventures with them so they could have some fun and excitement. She had been reluctant and seemed to be having fun, so if he was bothering her it must have been worth it.
"I could so beat something up!" He insisted, swimming up a head slightly so she could see when he puffed out his chest and tried to put a serious, tough-looking expression on his face. The whole spectacle only lasted a couple seconds though, before he went back to his usual excited smile. "A ghost fish is like... a regular fish, but it's died and it's soul is now swimming around without it's body to be all creepy and spooky! If there are ghost fishes out there you might not have even seen them, they can be all invisible if they want to."

Still holding a stern expression, Zulu realized that the stallion was, well, an idiot. She highly doubted that he could defend himself, and his 'ghost fish' scenario was pretty ridiculous. "You are a strange strange male." She then commented, while rolling her eyes slowly. "Come on, let's just keep swimming. I don't want to hear anymore of your fairy tales or lies."
At this point, Zulu felt like she was the adult in this situation, and it was making her laugh that she had to act all mature. "Do you have any other fables to spew out of your mouth?" She chuckled lightly, before turning back to the male. "But anyways, where were we going again?" She brought her eyes forward, before realizing they were coming up to a more populated area. "At least we aren't in the boring part of the ocean anymore.." Boring, and scary!

"We were looking for ducklings, and then you decided to leave. I don't think we were going anywhere, unless you knew another place where we might find ducklings." Castellan grinned eagerly, hoping that was the case. He really wanted to see a duckling. "I didn't think that place was boring, it was pretty empty, but it was different at least. It would be less interesting if we ran into something creepy."
Yet he was slightly confused, first she said she didn't want to hear any more stories, and then she asked if he had any more... Well, he could always talk about different stuff that wasn't ghost fish. "The last time I met something creepy, I was exploring a big ravine in the ground, and I found a hidden cave, and then there were these weird glowing things in it. So I poked one, and it tried to bite me, but it was just another stallion like me, only grumpy like you, and much creepier than a ghost fish!"

"Yes but, I couldn't find any ducklings." She then confessed, while frowning heavily. All she could find was a stupid seagull, and that didn't help with the situation too much. "Usual ducklings and crap can be found in the spring, since that's when so many new babies spring up, You may have to take your own adventure then."
Oh well. Zulu didn't really care that she didn't help him find them, and she most certainly wasn't going to blame herself for their loss. "You met a stallion that was grumpier then me? Ha. That's silly." As if THAT was possible. "How did you get out of that situation, especially if he wanted to bite you? Maybe you are a fast swimmer?" Zulu giggled lightly, while imagining the stallion darting away from a creepy little fish. The stallion seemed too happy go lucky to be afraid of other fish, so how did he have the wit to know when one was dangerous?

"I'll come find you in the spring then, and we can find some ducklings then!" He practically beamed. As if he would actually go on his own when he could take her with him, and they could have fun together. With that matter settled, he moved on to the other topic of discussion.
"He was grumpier, you don't lay around in dark caves and speak with an awful scratch voice. And he decided not to bite me after I told him it wasn't nice and that if I met a shark I would bash it's nose in." Castellan seemed very pleased with himself. He had conveniently forgotten about bonking his head when he tried to flee from the creepy grumpy thing, and whining so much as to perhaps earn some pity from the other stallion.

Zulu grunted at Castellan's words, but let herself smile at the same time. The stallion would come find her again? Ha. She would see if that was at all possible, though she enjoyed the thought, since that kind of kindness had never been done to her before. "The Spring it is."
She listened intently as the stallion continued to talk about this grumpy fish, though she still held a lingering confusion, since that was pretty common at this point. "Ah well, its good you got lucky I guess. There probably wasn't a valid reason to bite you, so the other creature recognized that." Heh, in Zulu's mind, she didn't really figure out how THAT was possible. "Have you seen this monster thing since? Or was it a one time meeting?"

Castellan practically wiggled with delight. Even if it took all winter, at least he could go find her at the first signs of spring and they could have another adventure. And he could see some ducklings. Assuming he didn't forget of course, spring was still a fair ways away.
"Oh yes, he's my sidekick. I visit him a lot. We have a lot of fun even though he's always grumpy and doesn't like to leave his cave." The stallion seemed quite pleased with himself. He didn't have a lot of friends, but he was very fond of the ones he had even if they were scarier than a shark and sounded like a swordfish with a sore throat.

"Heh, he sounds like my kind of stallion." in a humorous glee, Zulu flapped her tail suddenly, before glancing back at Castellan. "You should learn from him, since cave-life is more relaxing then all of this high-energy crap you do." Oh well, some enjoyed the bouncy lifestyle in which the stallion portrayed, while others like herself, clearly didn't.
After flicking her face at the feeling of a current, Zulu straightened her shoulders before bringing her eyes on the stallion. "Well, I think you have caused me enough ruckus today, don't you think? I don't have anymore adventures for you, so I am afraid I have reached that boring point.." Yes, her brain was thanking her for her escape efforts!
Although.. the stallion did bring her out of character for most of the day, she was too stubborn to admit to that sort of thing. "Well, its been a blast, eh?" she then said, in a sarcastic yet giggly tone.

"But the cave is too dark, I can't move fast or I'll run into the walls. I don't have creepy glowing things like he does. And I wouldn't be able to watch any fish go by, it would be really boring."
Castellan was ready to continue his chattering, but something tugged at him, and suddenly he turned to pout at the mare. "No more adventures today? We haven't chased any big fish, or seen any ghost fish, or anything! We didn't even see a duckling..." He even stopped swimming altogether to pout, but only for a second. Then he was all bright smiles again.
"So tomorrow we can do some more fun stuff?" He practically wiggled with delight. She wouldn't have said 'today' if she didn't want to have an adventure tomorrow too! In light of that revelation, her sarcasm went right over his head.

Zulu's mouth hung open, and her lip dragged as she held a shocked expression at the stallion. Did he.. seriously want to see her tomorrow? What the hell was wrong with this guy! She wasn't fun or anything!
"Oh yeah, tomorrow." she then said, with a raised brow. "You will have to wait until then." With a flick of her tail, the mare continued to stare with disbelief before fixing her posture and controlling herself. "You will have to be patient, Castellan. Everyone else is, so you must be too." He would have to learn, since that was life's way. "But you should head home before the sun goes down, and before everything gets dark. I should be returning myself.." and with that, Zulu swam a few paces away from him, before looking back and grinning. "Until next time." She didn't want to be excited.. but a small part of her really did enjoy the day.

"I can be patient!" The eager stallion chirped, but his tail twitched as though it was a great effort keeping it still like that. It only remained for a short time, he really wanted to go home, maybe find some shrimp to eat before bed, and then sleep so he could be up bright and early to go see his new friend again. Patience really wasn't his strong point.
"Goodnight! I'll find you tomorrow!" He called happily as he swam off, figuring the sooner he went to sleep, the sooner tomorrow would come.
