"But I don't forgive myself," he said softly, not really sure, or caring, if she heard him or not. He shook his head as he placed both forepaws on the small of Kaoru's back. She forgave him so easily. It was hard to tell when she got angry or just plain depressed.

Roy let his paws slide down to the ground. She had said the wrong thing to him. How could he let go of his past? That was the only thing he had to identify who he was and how he came to this strange place. He shook his head slightly. "I can't," he whispered under his breath.
