My first thought is that his only contact outside of his training is with his mother, which from his father's comment is a woman to be reckoned with. That may have made him wary of females. Also his father's comment and attitude would color his.
And as for this "lazy" business. He is not lazy. He just considers other things (like thinking) a better use of his time.

I think that Shikamaru is sexist. He's stereotyped girls based on what he's seen with Ino, Sakura, and his own mother. Let's face it, Sakura and Ino are not the prime examples of girls, so I don't think it's entirely Shikamaru's fault. While he is sexist, he isn't mean about it and thinks about it in an almost completely logical way. Despite his sexism, I do like Shikamaru.
Although, I must say, his doubtfulness on having a female Hokage did bother me quite a bit.

No really. So many people of our time have a problem with gils because they can't handle them. I only thinkhe's clumsy about it

I don't think that it can really be called 'sexist' if it's logical either. Then well, it's logical. In my personal opinion, something is only really sexist if it's wrong. I know there's probably a lot of people who would argue that fact but let me put it like this. Why would you want to make something that is right, look wrong? Also his doubtfulness on a female leader, that's more of a cultural thing. I seriously doubt that he was the only one questioning her leadership capabilities. Just because he was the only one shown saying something hardly makes him alone.

I think that Shikimaru can sometimes be a sexist.....but most of the time he's intimidated by girls 4laugh ....

You'll see that this guild talks about every character from Naruto not just Kakashi. We've had convos in the past about Who would make the best Hokage, What village do you belong in, and so on and so on. Plus this was just an innocent question asking people what do they think. For you guys whose taking it a little to hard, just calm down

i dunno...during the chuunin exams he thinks something like "im fighting a girl again...how troublesome..." and i dont know if thats an observation or sexism...but shika's too cool that it doesnt really matter to me!!! heart
