A feeling of contentment had washed over him. He really had enjoyed this day. He took in a deep breath and let it go slowly, looking to the changing sky. He had stood in the shallows, and joined Dahlia when she began to dry off on the bank. Being so relaxed, he almost nodded off until she spoke.
"Let's not make them worry then." he said with a soft smile, as he rose to his hooves with a good stretch on the way up. He had caught the mention of not one dad, but two. Instead of holding her up by asking her about them, he nudged her on the side. "Thanks for hanging out with me. It was nice to meet someone such as yourself." he winked playfully.

She nudged back and smiled playfully. “And yourself!” She gave a little rear and then sped off over the land, her long mane trailing behind her, as she made her way back to the mountains.

He nickered at her as she sped away, watching her hair flip about till she vanished out of sight. Turning around slowly, he looked behind him one more time, wondering how far she had to go. He then picked up his hooves, and began to stroll towards home.
