Loveless strut around Antony, causing a circular motion around the male. This time though, she wasn't giving him a predatory motion. Her movement was very slow and calm, only because she was also smiling at him and holding a flirty expression. "No ploy, no plan.." she then mumbled, while still holding his eyes on hers. "Can't a girl get some excitement in her life!" And with a giggle, she flung her hair back behind her and turned her attention to the parents. "They will be just fine you know, I don't think we need to worry about them. Maybe I just wanted to see you again, is there something wrong with that?" Shooting him back a humorous grin, she tilted her face and awaited his answer. "So, what'll it be?"

"There you go again Guilian, being all positive all the time. What would I do without you!" Giving his friend a soft pat, he turned himself away to muse over some random thoughts. Ariston wasn't a huge worrier, but he did have some terrible stresses in his life. Sometimes, he felt as though it was impossible to think about things.

"Now that I think about it, was Antony coming here to meet you alone? I didn't want to intrude this much you know, I understand the father thing too." With a light laugh, he looked at the two kids again, wondering what the heck they were talking about.

Though he was definitely his father's son, one thing that Antony had never picked up on was subtlety. It might have cost him from time to time, but in the end he preferred to put his thoughts and interests out on the line for the entire world to see. If he wanted something, he'd say so, if he felt something, he'd be attentive to it. And on the flipside, he wasn't as good at reading body language as Guilian, failed to notice delicate things like small blushes or glances. But when a mare was circling him and giving him a look like Loveless was, then it had the effect of a two-by-four to the head.

Grinning a bit wolfishly at the way she was teasing him, Antony too glanced back at the two parents, then at the beautifully proportioned example of marehood that was asking for excitement and asking for alone time. He could live with that.

After considering for mere moments, Antony glanced away from the fathers and, without saying anything, reached out and snagged the mare as she circled, pulling her against him and burying his muzzle in the braid at her neck. It smelled so clean and fresh... "I think that they'll be fine on their own, at least for a bit."

"Wither away and die a lonely and pessimistic death, I'd imagine." Without even batting an eyelash, Guilian had a response ready for his friend, prepared as always to keep the mood light. It was very rare that Guilian had ever turned a conversation with Ariston to a serious vein; only in the direst of circumstances would he even consider it. Then again, it was only in very dark circumstances that he allowed himself to even BE depressed, so that was only logical.

Ariston, on the other hand, seemed more prone to bouts of sadness these days, so whenever he observed this he did what he could to bring Ariston back to the joyous and carefree outlook that he knew and loved.

That in mind, the return to casual conversation was a delight. Chuckling, Guilian gave Ariston a helpless shrug of the shoulders, indicating he didn't know. "Honestly? I haven't seen my son in some time, Ariston, so it stands to reason that he wishes to speak to me; however, I can fully understand that a conversation with one's father holds far fewer charms than the companionship of a female."

As he spoke, Guilian didn't so much as glance in the direction of the two younger Soquilis, figuring that there could only be one reason they'd left in the first place (as that was what HE would have been up to, were he his son). That Antony wouldn't consider the same thing was absolutely foreign to Guilian's sensual nature, and in some occassions it was best not to try and disillusion the proud father. "Regardless, I shall keep my eyes out for him, when he DOES feel like talking to me. But what about you? Having some father/daughter time, then?"

She was happy that Antony agreed, and she looked up at him with a usual glimmer in her eyes. "Then where should we go?" Antony, in her opinion, was the expert at all of this anyways. "Do you think we should at least say goodbye?" Taking a pause, she chuckled lightly to herself. "This is so devilish of us! Maybe I am having a bad influence on you?" Still smiling at him, she felt a strange sensation of happiness linger around her.

It was a moment like this were she didn't have to worry about anything, and she could just be herself and live life how she wanted. And for that, she could never truly thank Antony. All she ever hoped for, was that he would feel the same happiness that she felt, and the same freedom that could be found in such a simple pleasure. This was definitely what life was all about, and it felt enchanting at the same time!

Ariston completely agreed with Guilian's words, and it made him laugh a bit at the truth to how they all worked as stallions. "I suppose I have done that to my own kids before, so I should be expecting Loveless to be doing the same back! But ah well, I am just glad to see her so happy, that's all I really care about." And with a nod, he knew he felt content just knowing that Antony was also a happy through this relationship as well.

"Well, I hope you two can catch up soon. I haven't seen my sons in quite awhile, but I am glad to hear that you and Antony keep in touch." With a pause, he only shrugged towards Guilian's other question. "Ah yes, Loveless was just tagging along today. I am actually glad to see her off on her own for once, since she had been following me for quite some time now. Sometimes independence comes and goes, and I am glad to see she found hers again."

"But.. you and I never have that problem, so we can at least teach our kids the correct mannerisms and such." With a wide grin, he knew he and Guilian WERE the best, afterall! Those kinds of problems just weren't possible for them.

"I think that the best idea is 'away'; this way we can poke around, do a bit of exploring, and have the thrill of the unknown driving us. You wanted excitement, right?" Laughing, Antony drew his head back, touching his nose teasingly against Loveless' before looking out towards the trees, his eyes dancing with a matched mischief. "Honestly, though, I think I'm more the bad influence, trashing your purity and your morals and sense of honor, whatever that was, and drawing you out on crazy senseless adventures."

That didn't mean that he was ashamed, of course. He felt that THIS Loveless, the fun, adventurous, teasing one, was much better than the cold, calculating, aggressive Loveless of before, on SO many levels that it wasn't even funny. But she ought to know that herself!

Looking back towards the fathers for a second, he contemplated for a moment, then grinned and gave her a wink. "They were young once...hell, they're still young. I think they'll understand." With that, the stallion tossed his mane, then gestured towards the trees. "After you, Lessy."

~~~
Nodding his head, Guilian found himself agreeing with Ariston's words, though a slight twinge of sympathy crossed his expression at Ariston's comment about his own sons. "At least you have Loveless, friend...though I can concur. I haven't seen Neve or Nicky in quite some time, and I rarely see Leon. Strange child, that boy..." Thinking about it, Guilian found himself frowning slightly in confusion; Leon had always confused him, ever since he was a foal, and now that he was grown that confusion had grown rather than diminished. But oh well.
Shaking his head, he chuckled again, giving Ariston a smile. "Indeed. And all things considered, I'd say that we've done a good job with our children. Not bad for two 'footloose and fancy free' studs like us, huh?"
Loveless coiled her tail around one of Antony's legs since she was giggling at his comments for a few moments. Thank goodness he liked her idea, for it seemed they were now going to move!
She nodded to Antony quickly, before looking ahead of them, and picking that they should move past some trees to the right. "Well thank you, Antony." she then said, with a ladylike accent. "I really don't feel bad leaving them, for THAT particular reason." Grinning, she started to walk away, before flashing the father's one last look. They were in their own world anyways, and it was time for she and Antony to vanish into theirs!
"Not bad at all.." Ariston then commented, and he knew the pain that drifted in Guilian's words. "We just have to be thankful for what we DO have, and make sure the children we keep in touch with receive the best." That was really the only way to look at the situation, and Ariston knew everything could always work out.
"I think.. the kids are leaving." he then said, and he sighed and shook his head. "I didn't know we were THAT boring." he then added, with a playful grin.
At that, Tony simply chuckled, flicking his non-coilable tail against Loveless' own as the two of them strolled off together into the trees. Though he had to admit that there were things that he was still confused about, this new meeting had already done a lot for disabusing him of those unpleasant thoughts. He still had things to talk to his father about, of course, but if this conversation had done anything, it had taught him that things were looking up with Loveless.
WAY up.
~~~

At Ariston's words, Guilian simply nodded; now HE was getting maudlin, and THAT was a state he didn't need. After all, all of his kids were grown, he knew they could handle themselves without their father checking up on them. Antony and Amary checked in from time to time, and he had his friends and his 'social contacts'...he was a happy stallion.

Following Ariston's glance, he too noticed that the kids had vanished, but he only laughed. "What did I tell you, Ariston? Fathers are one things, but pleasure is something that will always trump. That in mind, I noticed that there's a tree upriver that still has apples. You feeling as peckish as I am?"

No sense in waiting around, that was just silly. And it had been a while since the two of them had been able to talk...carpe diem!

Grinning at his friend, Ariston moved himself so he was now beside him. "That sounds like a plan to me! Lead the way, dear friend." Ah well, if he was going to get ditched, at least he wasn't ditched alone! "I could go for some apples.."

Ariston followed Guilian into the woods, and they were both walking in the opposite direction of the children. Although his day had been a strange one, he felt happy knowing that he could reunite with his friend again, and watch his daughter find the happiness she needed.
