"I would like that very much." The proud grandfather said, still beaming. "Yeah! Me too!" His youngest kit piped up cheerfully. Remus listened attentively as his grandson continued, looking down but only in the physical sense of the word. He nodded with a sad flicker in his eyes at the mention of Ayako's wings. That was a matter of much confusion for they had all thought that her wings would be ... well wings. It hurt even more to suspect that his lovely daughter was upset about their size as well. The wizard wished there was something he could do for her... but it seemed this was one of those matters Ayako would have to come to terms with on her own. Though he hoped she knew she could always come to him for anything. Remus dearly loved his family.

Hemi saw his father's wince at mention of the moon. Yes... there it was again, looming before them. Remus of course wondering how these particular grandkits of his would fare with the added factor of their father's moon-powered magic. Did werewolf blood skip generations? Could the curse be recessive? He hoped not.

His face returned to its casual 'normal' then lit up with a proud smile. "Ah yes. Wands. And magic, of course. The two do go together for wizards. You are a young wizard then, Xanul? I'm very glad. Of course, I am proud of my children and grandchildren no matter what their magical aptitude. Did you have specific questions or shall I go through the basics for you?" Hemi -a little bored from not being as involved- rose, stretched and repositioned himself more comfortably. He liked lesson time. Especially when he could sit back and observe.

Remus chuckled, giving his grandkit a hug before stepping back where they would be able to see each other better. "Well there is no harm in that. I would rather you did not use it, not knowing how, than use it to dangerous effects. Or chewing on it, as Ginerva's daughter Lily Rose is apt to do." Dark eyes twinkled. Ginny's second daughter had been staying with them a while now with Moochi out and still her mother was beside herself trying to keep the girl's wand out of her mouth. It was quite amusing. "Perhaps you should sit. As this is your first lesson, please let me know if it becomes too long for you." With that Remus launched carefully into an explanation of first magic -that he had near perfected explaining magic to those that had no knowledge at all of the subject- and then into wizard magic and wands and how some believed that the wand chose the wizard, how a wand stolen would not work as well for the wizard as their own wand but how a wand chosen or won by the defeat of a wizard would work for the new owner.

Hemi leaned back, idly listening to the familiar lecture while playing with his own ash wand. Magic. No one yet knew why some had it and others did not. Of course among kitsusagi those with wizard parents were more likely to have it than those without. Like his family. Interesting how the different magics mixed in the kits. Like Xanul having both wizard magic and apparently Organization portal magic. He would have the choice of how to teleport when he mastered both. What would Ed & Lily's kits be like, with his science of alchemy and her magic? Would any be 'throwbacks' to Nari's healing? Lily had a little, but who knows how much she would have had she trained with Mother sooner.

"They don't." His uncle piped up with an innocent 'I certainly don't know from experience' expression. And his had not. Hemi did not understand his 'cousin's' fascination with chewing hers. Maybe other wands tasked better than ash? Not that he would try it. Remus had been so upset & disappointed in him that one time that Hemi had no interest in ever repeating the event -and he had been a very young kit then.

Remus kept a watch over his grandson's face and mannerisms as he spoke. He was perhaps not quite so instinctively aware of the nuances of body language but he did have time on his side so was no slouch. "Well that nearly sums up a general basis on wands themselves. Now we shall go further into how a wand helps a wizard with magic and why it is better than simply attempting to continue the more random emotional magic of budding witches and wizards." That was all the warning Xanul was given before Remus continued.

It probably could be rather dangerous. Less so for young witches and wizards who had parents who could guide them and keep them in check. "Oh yes: Random emotional magic. Often the young witch or wizard will have instances where they use their magic under very emotional moments. It is often the first sign the young has the skill."

"Yeah. Like Bob." Remus blinked. "Bob?" Hemi grinned sheepishly, shooting glance of his baby blues at his nephew. "Bob... Xanul's pet that 'portal'ed him to Uncle Saix's."

Remus arched a brow and looked from his youngest son to his grandson. "Oh really? Please, I would like to hear this tale."

Remus' brow continued to rise as he attentively listened to his grandson. He shot a glance at his grinning son, 'you're letting him continue to believe that?' it seemed to say. Hemi looked sheepish and shrugged noncommitally. The elder wizard sighed. He did not want to be the one to break it to Xanul but at the same time he could not feel he was doing right permitting him to believe as he did. Plus... it was quite cute & endearing.

"Yes... that does sound like emotionally activated magic. But not of the wizarding variety. It sounds instead like what your uncle Xigbar explained to me about the skills and 'magics' shall we say of the Organization in which he and your father are members." Dark eyes regarded Xanul gently. "Have you been told much of your father's abilities, Xanul? I can teach you the magic in your wizard blood, but I would feel better should you learn any inherent Organization skills from a more experienced source." Hemi's baby blues softened, watching his father. A soft whimper & he was by Remus' side, nuzzling him reassuringly. He could read his father's sadness that Saix might neglect his kits teachings... might neglect the kits at all. Then he grinned, bending down to nuzzle his nephew as well but more playfully. Xanul was a cheery kitsu. Fun. Not like what Hemi had heard of his quote-unquote brother-in... well not law really, but that would do for lack of a better term.

Hemi laughed and Remus smiled at Xanul's antics, their tails wagging energetically. "Yes. Xigbar Once told me much the same when he underlay the basics of the Organization to me some time ago." Some time ago.... just after I met your father, when Ayako brought him here to tell Nari & I they were pregnant. I knew so little of the Organization then... not much more now... "Why don't we set up a time we can meet Xanul to practice and study magic, to see where your strengths are?"

Remus chuckled and Hemi giggled. "That is something which many mothers excel: wanting to keep their kits near & safe. Sometimes fathers and grandparents too." Another kitsu might have winked, joking about himself like that. Remus merely let his eyes twinkle. "Now... let us see about a day and time, shall we? Right now I do believe my schedule is open." Of course there would be no classes around the full moon, but they could discuss that at greater length some other time.

((gah... sorry so short. I think we can wrap this up soon? Oh and anytime you want Xanul to meet anyone in my house just let me know. Or... if you'd rather he knows them, just let me know that instead. Especially the other kitsu casters: Liliana, Ginny, Cedrella. Especially Lily. I'm sure they've had a chance to meet and stuff just we weren't able to RP it. If you've ideas or whatever, I'm open for suggestions. <3))

Hemi sat back, casually scratching behind an ear as his father grew thoughtful. "Let us start with a half an hour every day at 10am. We can see how that goes for a while and adjust accordingly." Remus beamed down at his grandson. "This is not Hogwarts... we can tailor each lesson to the individual."
