Sei's hand roams to scritch one of the tae's ears. "Uno's my friend. You don't have to worry about her." He said, softly, before letting go and starting to head back toward the house.
"Well, I found a necklace down in the snow a few months ago, and I had this weird urge to keep it. I didn't really think anything of it, but turns out he came out of it. He's an iridae - some kind of angel, I think..." He had been so frazzled during his meeting with the medium that he had forgotten most of it. "And this weird lady insisted I was his father and I had to take care of him. We're gonna raise him as my brother, but he's too young to understand yet, I think."
He felt silent for a moment, then something came to him. "Riven has one, too. He helped me a bit."

A low gruffing is barely heard over something that sounds similar to a purr and a growl, all at the same time, coming from the tae's throat. He gives Sei's hand an affectionate lick, then pads after him, as if little more than a cuddly lap ... well, tae.
With snowy wings now tucked back to avoid colliding with anything, Shina stays just behind Sei, letting him lead both her and her companion towards the house. This is his home, and they are the guests, and she intends to take this opportunity to see just how well his manners have held up. Nodding as she listens, the term 'grandma' touches upon her thoughts then is banished. She's not quite ready to hear that word just yet, with Sei still so young. Perhaps she will change her mind upon seeing the babe, but ... "Did you say an angel?" is asked with an arching of one brow, a habit she picked up from her mother. Sei's shoulder receives a gentle pat. "Sei, if you are meant to be his father, your age matters little. I'll admit I'm ... a bit surprised." Oh yeah, that's the understatement of the year. "But we aren't as the others of Gaia are. We mature much faster, and grow to reflect the changes within."
Her hand drifts up to his hair, petting him while she still can. "I am only grateful that I returned before you wouldn't want me this close. That I am a ..." Drat. She can't yet bring herself to say it. Instead she skips over the word. "Such isn't a bad thing at all. It will just take some getting used to."

"Yes, an angel. But I think they're different. They're more like... guardians of something, as far as I've understood. He's the guardian of shadows." He couldn't help but glance at her then, confusion apparent, his features easing in a soft smile. He did not need any empathy to understand that it must have bothered her for awhile. "Mom... I... I really missed you. Alot. I wanted to go looking for you, and I had no idea where to start. And when Alden came, it definitively cemented me here. I couldn't just leave him here... So now that I really think of it, I think... I think I understand. And there is no reason why I wouldn't want you to be with me. Ever."
It didn't take too long for them to reach the door, and he opened it, side-stepping to let the angel and the tae inside.

The guardian of shadows? That brings a small smile to her lips. Her mother will love that. Sei has yet to meet Eirnae, and Shina plans on rectifying such as soon as feasibly possible. Not today. Too much has happened today already.
Riven's name pricks at her memory, as if saying unto itself, 'Hey, what about me? You remember me, don't you?'. Ruathal nudges Shina's hand with his cold nose, making her thoughts leap back into reality and the sweet expression on her son's face. When had he turned to look up at her?
That same hand then darts up to whisk away the threat of new tears, but her bright-as-the-sun smile makes it apparent that these tears are also of happiness and relief. "It is my wish to be with you for always, Sei. Thank you."
Nodding once, she steps into the open doorway, Ruathal on her heels, and takes a few steps to give Sei room to come within as well. "You mentioned Riven. Have you become friends, then?" For the spirit keeper to have befriended her son makes sense to the angelic half fa'e. Riven has been involved in her past and present lives, with hope the future will be touched by his presence as well.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that... He was pretty worried when I told him you where gone. Maybe you should go see him soon ? I have his address." To think about it, he hadn't gone to show him Alden yet...
Inside the room would be something that would probably make Shina boggle for a moment. Zero sitting in a chair trying to calm down the tiny bundle in his arms, and Uno peering over her shoulder, trying to soothe down the crying infant with a rattle. The two where so erriely similar, it was no wonder she had taken the black-haired woman for her son's guardian in the darkness. The only difference where the colors - hairs and eyes, and the wings on the second one, where Zero's wings, while still there, where now tiny and unable of any kind of flight.
Zero looked up when the door closed, and let out a tired, yet glad, smile. "Hello, Shina." She didn't want to assult the angel with questions yet, at least not until both Sei and Alden where asleep. Talking of that, she stood, and the black-skinned baby quickly exchanged arms, the blonde whispering something soothing as he turned again. "Shhh... We have someone here to see you, Alden."

She doesn't mean to pick up his emotions like a well-loved book and read them, she just can't help it. With the absence of her spiritual abilities, her empathy has swelled and yet allowed itself to be controlled, but only to a certain extent. So it's without pause that she replies, "Perhaps we could visit him together, then? I'm certain he'd be glad to see you, Sei."
Then she pauses, taking in the very odd sight of the two Zeroes. Blinking away her 'double vision', she separates which woman is which in time to return Zero's smile. "Greetings, Zero."
No more is said till Zero is closer, and the angel can gently lay a hand on the other woman's shoulder. Even then she does not address the guardian of her child, letting her actions speak for her in that regard. "I am Shina, Alden. I am your grandmother." There. Finally, the title makes it past her lips. Was that really so terrible? Her hand slips from Zero as she bends, wings becoming graceful arcs of snowy feathers to either side of her son and his adopted. Her smile softens, expression warm as her dark blue ringed eyes sparkle down at the winged bundle in her beloved prince's arms.
Ruathal pokes his head up to try and see what's going on, not about to shift here in the open to get the vantage point he wants. The last time he did that, Shina had scolded him thoroughly for embarrassing a young woman in the area. It's not his fault that when he shifts he's as naked as he began! What's so wrong with being bare, anyway? His breath whuffles by Sei's arms, the tae trying to take in the scent of the baby.

Zero and Uno both remain quiet, even as the former acknowledges the angel's touch. This was a moment neither wished to break, or force themselves into. Uno actually leaves the room quietly not long after (if only so that wierd dog-thing doesn't growls at her again...).
Sei couldn't help but smile a bit, and the baby in his arms opened sleepy, get vivid geen eyes - so green they almost seemed to glow - and looked at that strange new woman for a moment... That is until Ruathal distracts him. He had completely stopped his crying, but now he let out a small sound of glee as the wierd blue furred thing started poking at him, making grappyhands to try to catch the tae's nose. That was cold !

Well, that's more like it! Some attention for him for a change. Ruathal lets his nose be caught by the tiny hands, then interrupts the weak hold by tilting up his muzzle and giving them a good licking. He's decided that Alden smells just fine. A little musty about the feathers, but that just means the pup needs to get out for a flight. Hey, maybe he could teach him how?
"By that tail waggle alone I can say you two will be good friends." Not wishing to interrupt Ruathal's fun, Shina chooses to avoid the tae-tongue slathered fingers and instead kiss the small forehead. "He's wonderful, son. You've done well."
A quick glance to Zero holds an unspoken question. Make that several questions. It's been near forever since she's visited here. She can already tell that she's welcome, Zero's smile alone provided that. Yet there is so much more ...

Alden let out a giggle as the tongue ran on his hand, visibly much more interested in the furry thing that licks than the white-haired woman, but he does look at her after the kiss, and give the "I am cute, and I can make people melt" smile at her, followed by a tiny yawn, making Sei glance at the clock on reflex.
"Well, he should have been in bed long ago, anyway. Maybe you can come again tommorow afternoon ? Oh, don't worry, you'll see him again." The fa'e barely managed to repress as laugh as the small bundle in his arms stared at him. Oh, this one already knows what sleep means, and he protests loudly as he is carted off, yet the sound of Sei's voice was quick to soothe him again. Weither the fa'e at picked up on the girls' unspoken glances, no one could really tell.
"Welcome back. Do you want some tea ?" The blue haired woman started by what seemed to be the beginning, and invited Shina to sit.

She had watched Sei go with something like longing on her face, conflicting with the joy that's still bubbling like a fountain. Alden's glance to her had melted her heart and any reserves she could have possibly retained. He is wonderful. Being a grandmother isn't so bad. Eirnae's been so for much longer than I, after all, and she does just fine.
"I will," she calls after her son, promising herself such on the spot, "May you and your little one rest well, my heart."
She takes the seat she is offered, scooting forward so her wings are more comfortable. That reminds her of the change to Zero's own, so she looks to them, or what she can see of them, before resettling her gaze on Zero's face. "Thank you, and yes, please."
What should she ask first? She feels like she did on the first day she'd visited here, nervous and uncertain. Zero had raised Sei well during the times she's been gone, and she's grateful. Yet how can she explain her decision to the woman who's been more of a mother to Sei than she ever has?
"Much has changed, hasn't it?"

It didn't take long for Zero to busy herself with the kettle, small wings bobbing up and down with her movement. They floated idly - there was no connection from wings to body anymore, and so no mean for the woman to willingly move them. Hands that where once covered in metal where now bare, as she set the kettle on the stove and turned back to look at the angel, running an hand trough one long blue bang. She could only barely hold back a laugh at her comment. Oh, if the angel only knew the full irony of the statement she had just made...
"I dare say this might just be an understatement." She said, voice still holding a playfully amused tone. "Much, much have changed in the past year. I've had issues keeping up, honestly."

Zero's amusement doesn't escape the angel. It's definitely far better than any other emotion she'd been open to receive, and does her a world of good, besides. Sitting up some, she nods. "And yet I ask of you to inform another of such happenings. One who has been 'out of the loop' for far too long."
Ruathal gives this conversation one glance, then pads after Sei and Alden. He doesn't need to be here, as Zero has this situation well in hand. He'll be right upstairs, protecting the boys from that odd smelling woman.
"This has become a tradition for us, hasn't it?" she comments after a brief mental exchange with Ruathal, her tae informing her of his intent to be upstairs. Blue eyes twinkle merrily, the half fa'e taking in Zero's good humor to further her own. "Perhaps when I next visit, I will make you tea, instead."

Zero remained silent for a moment, visibely pondering how she should go along with this, as trying to get her ducks in a nice little coerent row, yet her mind seemed to refuse to oblige. She shook her head softly, then turned again, two cups in hand as she slid one to the angel, and then sat on the other side. At least there was plenty of details she could skip, given who the angel was the most interested to know about.
"Ah, but it gives me something to do." The woman smiled. "And in all honesty... I think Sei's the one who changed the less. Alden was the big thing, but other then that... He seems to speak a bit more." The woman grew pensive, trying to think up about things that, while completely normal for her, would be something new for Shina. "...He's definitively growing, however."

"He is indeed. Before we know it, he'll have to fend off the young women that wish to be close to him." Why say that? Because she knows from experience just how that can be. Not in regards to herself. Oh no, but in how she feels for Hoshi. "If Sei continues to resemble his father, he'll be much admired."
"I would push back time if I could," she sighs, lowering her focus down to her tea as she gives it a stirr with the tip of a finger. Not exactly the best display of manners, but she's not so concerned about it right now. "Or have it stand still."
"What of you, Zero, and who is this Uno, exactly? The similarities between the two of you are uncanny."

"Oh, I am trying not to think about that." Again, Zero couldn't help but laugh. "Makes me feel a bit... old, I have to admit. He does remind me of Hoshi, for how little I've seen of him." It just seemed so long ago since she and the star fa'e lived one next to another...
"Uno... Well, she is my fandangle. You remember those ? Eventually she seemed to just... progress beyond what she was supposed to cap at. She's my doppelganger, and as such we look similar. She can mimic almost anyone, but she says it's akward."
