"If you like I could turn it into a James Bond rip-off." William responded as he came to the threshold of the kitchen, leaning heavily against the entrance frame.
He'd been pestering Daniel for a months to let him re-build that whole car. Sheperd was tinkering with a few excelerators and fuel-reserve filters. Both of which would theoreticly allow a car go a hundred miles one a thimble of gas; that or it could cause a recoil in the combustion and the car wold burst into flames. William shook that thought away though, he'd fixed that problem after the first few models and the chances now were very slim, thus he didn't need to tell Daniel that.

"Anything you want." Daniel sighed. "So long as it runs." He'd refused William's offers to rebuild the car on the grounds that he'd end up doing something crazy with it, like make it run on compost or give it some kind of liquid nitrogen propulsion system, but the need for a mode of transportation now far out weighed anything William could do to the car.
"Nothing too crazy." Daniel added tentatively.

Jacknife grinned somewhat wickedly at the mention of a Bondmobile. He was always one for technological gadgets, especially ones that blew stuff up. "Any way you could turn my car into one of those as well?" Of course, Jacknife didn't have a car. Jacknife hitchhiked just about everywhere he went, if by hitchhike you mean jump into the back of a passing truck with or without the driver's knowledge.
He was going to stick his nose into the fridge, but it seemed as if there were already too many cold noses, so he would just wait. He backed up against a wall and leaned there with his arms crossed across his chest. Classic badass hero pose? Or just damn comfortable?

"I could build you a better one if you'd prefer but I'm not sure i should really make you anything with any firepower." William responded off-handedly to Jackknife's words.
"As for your request I'll get it running since you don't want anything to fancy. I can do anything like repaint it or the like but I could make it a little safe and maybe have it so it's not held together by rust." Sheperd chuckled as he waved his hand the air to calm any sort of anger toward him.
He wasn't really hungry so he remained on the edge of the kitchen. William was there to talk more then eat, he hadn't seen half these people in a few weeks. That got the young man thinking, one of his regular activities, and in moments he was no longer in the kitchen but rather moving to the entrance of the building. He made a b-line for Daniel's car, crouching down in front of it and wondering already how he was going to move it into his "shop".

"It's duct tape." Daniel called after William in a tired voice. "Not rust." He groaned quietly. Setting his half full glass on the counter, Daniel muttered to no one in particular. "I'll be right back." Standing out in the courtyard, he watched William. The boy wasn't as strong as the others, but he was the only one here who could fix the car. He walked slowly over the gravel. "Need any help moving it?" Daniel asked with a small smile. There was a slight smug undertone in his voice.

"I don't need anything fancy I'm just making sure the axles are still intact." William muttered as he got down on all fours and put his face almost flat to the ground to look under the car.
He was up again and popping the hood of the car quickly. His flicked his wrist and a small metal sheath sprung from under his right hand sleeve. This was his most coveted of possessions; an omni-tool. He'd crafted it himself some years ago and had been altering and shrinking it to it's current size since. It held most every tool needed for basic repair, micro-thin plates of alloy would seeming mold into the tool he needed. To almost anyone else it seemed like magic, springing forth the heads of countless tools, but to William it was simple mathematical engineering.
"All I ask is that you don't send the earth shaking or your car might be wrecked beyond my immediate ability." Williams voice came from the engine block, he was leaned over so far his short frame barely touched the ground.
After a few short minutes the car turned over and roared to life, almost as if it had a new engine. William stood up and slammed the hood down, he had a great deal of oil and grit on his face and hands as he offered a nod to Daniel. The young man moved to the driver's side door and got into the beat-up Lucario. He pulled a little forward and to the side of the Daniel, reaching over and popping open the passenger's side for the other youth to join him in the short car-drive to the back of the estate.

Daniel peered down into the car as William did something with it. He didn't know a thing about anything automobile related other than how to drive them. What Daniel did know was that William's skill wasn't magic; he had an imagination and a drive Daniel had never seen before. It was inspiring, even.
The young man couldn't help but gasp a bit when the car roared back into existence. He climbed in when the door opened and stared at William. "You're a filthy, grimy genius." He said quietly, "Don't let me doubt you again."

"If you had doubted me you wouldn't have even come back outside." William commented without even looking over to his friend.
The pulled around the back of the estate and to a small garage door in the back of the large building. William lifted his hand up, now holding a small garage opener, the metal grating of the door slid upward as the car drove underneath. The car parked and before either of them could move the floor lurched upward a little and then began to sink into the ground. The platform sank into William secret 'laboratory', as the other called it.
The Space was roughly twice the size of the top garage and had actually been a part of the basement and some interest caverns beneath the estate. Bits of machines hung on the walls, some even twitching like half-living beasts in the midst of experimentation. The whole place seemed creepy till a pair of large flood lights kicked in overhead illuminating the space properly, leaving barely a shadow behind in their flaring wake.
"So what sort of model would you like, or would you rather keep the old beat up beetle look?" William asked as he clambered out of the drives seat and immediately moved to a large workbench.

"I suppose you're right." Daniel murmured. He'd never seen the lab before, but knew that William spent a lot of time down here. Laughing softly at himself, Daniel looked around. He wasn't the best caretaker ever, and not afraid to admit it; leaving the campus was a regular thing for him and the others were left to fend for themselves.
"What are you taking about?" Daniel asked cautiously when William mentioned a new model. He clambered to get his tall, lanky form out of a car that was far too small for him. "I like my car just the way it is." his offended tone faltered a bit near the end of his statement. "I couldn't change Veronica." Daniel didn't usually call the car by its name, but he had named it. After an old girlfriend none the less. Turned out she only liked him because he had the car; once it broke down, she moved on to the next boy with wheels. People usually asked why he'd named the car after a girl who turned on him. Daniel's only answer was to remind himself not to get involved with women who only liked material things. That didn't seem to be a problem anymore now that he was here, maybe it was time to change.
"I don't want my knees to touch the steering wheel anymore." He stated plainly with a sigh, "Otherwise keep it the same."

Rei ran as fast as she could, a nice juicy watermelon underneath her arm. She stumbled in the dirt and fell scraping her knee but quickly rebounded and stood up again. She could hear the farmers angry yells, slowly they diminished and she slowed her run panting softly as she walked backwards as to see if anyone was following her. She closed her eyes and bent the light, causing her and the melon to blend in with the surounding walls and vines. Quietly she walked towards a single boulder and sat down, her invisibility dyeing down. She grinned and smashed the watermelon against a rock and bit into it. Wipeing her face with the back of her hand, she looked around...

Dece closed the fridge angrily after staring blankly into it for a while then crossed her arms and rubbed her head "Well, we have some instant pizzas, that's as good as anything else in there" she said to mostly herself, not having noticed the two had left her alone with this new guy. The oven barely had time to start clicking before she left it to find a pan for the pizzas. "Should be about twenty minutes" she said again to mostly herself.

((Alright, just updated some of the setup posts, two new profiles recently, Rei as you've just seen start and Kyle Green who should be joining in soon, updated the Character Status section and unfortunately I've had to mark Calypso inactive, last I looked she hadn't read the PM announcing that we'd moved yet and that was nearing ten days ago. So anyways, I'm working things out in my life and I hope that means I'll be able to be more active here than I've show over the last week.
Also, I'm pretty sure we have plenty of people for the moment so I'm gonna stop taking apps for a bit.))
