"Well sort of. He doesn't live there, but he used to go there often. His dad is one of the king's most trusted advisors. And he used to be friends with Prince Dunstan. But I just don't know anymore," Renee sighed, and held up the letter, "I'm not sure what this is for, but I'm just dieing to open it!"
She pouted and set it on the ground so that she and the fire fly could sit on it, "Anyways, he's kind of tall, and has dark green hair that goes to here," she explained, pointing to just below her shoulders, "Sound like anyone you've seen lately?"

"Hmm...no I haven't seen anyone like that...although his name sounds familiar..." She scratched her head as she thought.
"Oh oh!" Megumi piped up, "Iv'e seen a guy like that! Yeah! He had a big sword!"
"Megumi, when did you meet a guy with a big sword?!" She gave him one of those, 'What have you been hiding' stares, even though she knew he probably couldn't see it.
"Today, in the forest, just before I found you Lulu. I wasn't doin nothin bad, I promise!"

Renee started bouncing up and down, "How long ago was that? And was it far away?!" she asked, her voice full of hopeful excitment. Hopefully he hadn't gotten far. Then she could be rid of this letter. And if he had a sword, he could protect them (it's not like he could go anywhere either, right?), so they wouldn't have to be so scared.

"Well...it was awhile ago...while the moon was still shining." Megumi told her. "And we have been walking around for a long time."
"I don't think you're gonna have much luck trying to find anything in this light. You might as well wait till tomorrow. What's the rush anyway?" Luna asked curiously.
"Yeah! You can stay here with us, and then, and then, tomorrow, we can find him together!" The boy exclaimed excitedly, jumping up and down and flailing his arms around.

Renee sighed, "Ok. I've just been searching for hours. And we pixies have short attention spans," but her frown quickly turned into a smile, "At least we're together, and not all alone and scared! And maybe when we find him, I'll be able to take you to the castle! There are a few halls that are open to the public after all."
She made herself comfortable on the envelope, "Anyone have any good stories?"

"Oh I have one! I have one!" Megumi said excitedly as he tried to get comfortable. He and Luna were leaning up against tree stumps, and though that was no way to spend the night, they decided it would just have to do. Megumi began his story, "Once upon a time there was a man. This man's name was Jonas and he came from a land far, far away. One day, Jonas...."
Megumi's voice was lost in the many thoughts swirling through Luna's mind. 'If we help her find Lord Gethin, she said she would take us to the castle....but, Mom....I know she's already worried about us. But I have no idea where we are, if I was to be taken to the Castle, then I would know where I was, and then I could easily find home from there.' Luna wanted to see the castle. She wanted an adventure. 'What should I do?' She decided that whatever she was going to do, it could wait till morning. With this she snapped back into reality, just in time to hear the end of Megumi's story.
"...And after everything had been taken away from him, he died, with the smile still on his face." Megumi finished his story, and was quite proud of himself.
"What kind of story is that?!" Luna asked.
"It's my story, I made it up!" Megumi said proudly.
"Why does he die? And what the hell's he smiling about?"
"If you were listening then you would know!" He stuck his tongue out at her, even though she couldn't see him.
"Yeah..." She laughed and patted him on the head.
"Well, I bet Renee was listening to my story. Did ya like it? Did ya?"

Renee was sniffling and wiping a tear from her eye, "That was so beautiful," she choked out, "You should be a bard, and tell your tales all over the forest!"
She looked down at the envelope she was sitting on, "Do you think they would mind if I peaked inside?"
She was just dieing to know what was in there. It was probably really important. Just one peak wouldn't hurt, would it?

Megumi spoke up first, "Yeah! You should read it!" His eyes were wide with excitement. He was a little boy, of course he was curious.
Luna thought for a minute. Now that Renee mentioned it, she was pretty curious too, but then again, who wouldn't be, it was from the castle. "Hmm...well, it's not my letter, I don't care if you read it." She laughed. "No one will find out, right?"
"Ooh, read it out loud! I won't tell no one, I promise! Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye!"
Luna laughed at Megumi, "Megumi, calm down." She looked at Renee, "Do you think you can read it in this light?"

"Of course I can!" Renee huffed, and yanked on the fire flies leg to bring it closer. She carefully opened the seal, trying to keep it from being damaged. Then she pulled out the letter, and set it on the ground. All of this was done with quite a bit of effort on the little creatures part. She pulled the fire fly up to the paper and began to read aloud. "To my dear friend, Gethin, Though I am hurt that you do not accept my love for Venera, know that I understand your hate. I once felt the same way. So I am not going to hold what you said at our last meeting, for lack of a better term, against you. Venera and I are to be wed in the time of two and a half moon cycles. Please join us then. I am asking you as a friend, and nothing would make me happier if you did. Yours truly,
Prince Dunstan Renee nodded her head in thought before her face lit up, "I like weddings! I bet hardly anybody else know about this! We're some of the first ones!" she chimed happily.

"Wow, The Prince is getting married? How come it hasn't been publicly announced yet? Don't they usually do that sort of thing when someone important is to be married?"
Megumi had a sad look on his face, "But...but why does Gethin hate The Prince now, does he not like his wife-to-be? Why wouldn't he go to his wedding?"
"Hmm..." Luna was thinking, 'Vanera? How come I haven't heard of her? No one has said anything about the prince having a fiancee...are they keeping it a secret? Well...I guess it's not really any of my business...but still...'
Megumi jumped up, "We must find Lord Gethin! Then we can give him this letter, and tell him to go to The Prince's wedding!"
Luna pulled the boy back down and laughed, "You really do care about other people, don't you?"
"..N..No!" He crossed his arms.
Luna laughed, "Don't hide it! But do calm down a little. We aren't going to find anything tomorrow if we don't get some sleep." Luna smiled, she admired Megumi's kind heart.
"So you mean we are going to go find Lord Gethin tomorrow?! And, and go to the castle?! You mean it Lulu?!"
"Yeah yeah. Just for you kid." She patted his head, "Now go to sleep, okay?" She then turned to Renee, "If we help you find Lord Gethin, will you take us to the castle?"

"Isn't that what I already said?" Renee cocked her head, "Or did I...Anyways, I'd love to take you to the castle! And if we're lucky, I might be able to give you a tour too!"
She carefully folded the letter back up, and put it in the envelope. Then she sealed it, and straightened it to make it appear as though nothing had happened."
"G'night," she yawned, hugging the firefly like a teddy bear. The bug wasn't too happy about it, but Renee had a strong grip. Then she curled up on the letter, and fell asleep.

Despite their uncomfortable arrangement, Megumi and Luna were soon fast asleep. The day had been long, and they had been walking a lot. They were tired. As they slept the dreamed about adventure, and what awaited them. This was the beginning of their adventure. What would the next day bring for Luna, Megumi, and Renee?

Renee was the first to wake up the next morning (evening, or whatever). She rubbed her eyes, and looked around. This wasn't her room. It took a few moments for last night to come back to her. She looked down at the letter, it was a bit damp, but she doubted the water had reached the invitation inside.
Her head snapped up when she heard a noise, "Who's there?" she demanded, though her voice came out in more of a squeak than much else.

Cirdan awoke, finding himself stiff with cold. Slowly he gained his senses about him, and he began to ascertain his location. The forest didn't reveal exactly what the time was to his gaze, but from an experiences form of observation, he knew he had slept for a couple days. Noticing his sword laying nearby on a patch of moss, Cirdan quickly attended to it, and after a brief inspection, he let out a low sigh. "Even with three days of straight practice, and I'm not showing any real results. The worse yet, is that I was so focused that I lost perception of time and place. have not a clue where I am."
Stretching sore muscles, Cirdan ran through a brief exercise to warm his body up. It was also to aide in the relief of the sore muscles as well. In this silence, he thought he heard a tiny voice in the distance. But it was on the edge of his hearing, but it sparked his curiosity. Remaining silent, he began to move in the direction of the faint voice.

Luna awoke to the sound of Renee's voice. She sat up and looked around. She was a little confused at first, but then she remembered where she was. She sighed and looked over at Megumi. He was still sleeping soundly. She noticed that something had alerted Renee. "What is it Renne?"
