Alas became a tad nervous as Crunch circled she would smell him all around but she couldn't see him without craning her neck about and confusing herself, so she lay still. She steadied her breathing and rested her head on her paws laying as casual as she normaly did near the dens. She had to keep her ears from pricking up at the slightest noise be it Crunch or the wind.
Alas slowly pushed away the nervous feeling and felt her body relax, after all Crunch was her friend she had no reason to feel afraid. She shouldn't be afraid of Algoma either, and deep down she wasn't. What Alas feared was if she could hurt someone...hurt anyone, and like it. With a shudder at the thought the last tension drained out of her and she lay innocent as a napping pup.

THERE! The male's mind thought seeing her exhale the last of the tensed up muscles and become completely relaxed. This was how Crunch knew Libenalas would be when attacked by this evil lynx.
His paws pushed off of the ground and he came soaring out of the tree-line towards her side. Had she been an actually advisory the male would aim to rip out her side and move to the jugular vein, but she wasn't and the male's large jaws were closed.
Being her first counter attack, he didn't want to pressure Alas too much and actually do major damage. His paws would work as probes for her and guidelines to assist in the demonstration.
Though with sealed jaws, a growl ruptured from his throat and he was directly on mark to her side. If he rolled her up onto the easily destroyable submissive stomach show, his teeth would become shown and immediately advert themselves near the pink wolf's neck. He just wouldn't bit down or wrap his jaws around her neck, that would be to risky this first time.

Alas sprang forward panicked she had almost forgotten Crunch was going to attack. Her heart tripped as she twisted her body to face him crouching low so he couldnt spring up at her again. Her hind legs felt shakey from the way she had thrust herself forward and she mentally scolded herself for not swimming more often. She watched Crunch with soft blue eyes uncertain if he would continue through with the attack or not. Her gaze flew to where she had been, that would have hurt.
Her ears fell back as her muscles twitched her body almost howling out its fight or flight response confused about the training that she hoped could someday save not only her life but those of any innocent in Algoma's way.

A quick approval smile sprung to the male's lips, but feeling that she had done well with that. He pressed on. Crunch pretended to leaped out at her a second time, but angled himself in the air to land next to the close tree-line. If she ran into the forest, it would all be over.
"Good," he barked landing between Alas and the forest walls. Head low and legs spread out in a balanced stance. He watched her wide eyes and this time his tail began to wag friendly. This was feeling like a game to Crunch and it was in the purest of actions. "Want to continue or is your heart pounding in your eyes and adrenaline rushing to much for the first time?"

Alas stood her ground carefully lowering her body so she could spring again and tried to regain control over her senses. She flushed a bit embaressed that Crunch noticed her responses and reigned them in. She focused her light blue gaze back onto the darker eyes.
"I can take as much as you can give out I'm sure..." she laughed her tail wagging as she playfully snapped her jaws at him.
Alas feinted to the right to see if she could get Crunchto back up and gain the offensive.

With a single nod the male watched Alas snap her jaws. She wanted to take the land back, but she would have to show more teeth then that. A brief smile came to the blue maw then the male's ears flattened a bit, and then the teeth and gums became exposed completely.
The quivering lower jaw was accompanied with the upper lips shaking. Crunch could have been taken serious with this show, that would've been if his tail was wagging and the growl coming from his throat wasn't aggressive. The growl was just a low antagonizing taunt, though it seemed growing up his family never tested the truth behind this stance.
Bringing his head lower the red lightning was almost aligned with the white cracked stockings on his legs. Haunched over shoulders rolled as the male began to circle again. This female was once again in his land and trying to take some from him. Popping forward Crunch snapped his jaws closed close to Libenalas, this was one technique that had been a safe way to insure territory against lesser opponents. Though those opponents didn't want to fight.

Alas had to force down her natural instincts and remain calm, she thought for a moment how strange it was that she didn't feel this Alpha instinct coming so powerfully off Twist, infact she could ignore that Twist was her alpha completely. Not that had any intention of doing so, she would help Twist against that Lynx or die trying. She really hoped it didn't come down to that though.
Alas tried to match Crunch's snarl but her gums didn't even show, she just didnt have the aggression in her against him. As he popped close and snapped Alas sprang up, but instead of springing away she pounced on the large male's back.
Unfourtunantly she was at completely the wrong angle and flopped right off her paws scrabbling for purchase on his hind. She blushed as she stood and shook off before clearing her throat and crouching again hoping she hadn't made too much of a blunder.

With a note of the less aggressive snarl the male had continued to move forward. That was until...
Crunch had went stiff as a marble statue when he felt Alas pounce on his back. The male locked his legs and clenched his jaws close. Even in lessons he was still particullarly cautious of his back. That was his blind spot until something landed on it, then he was all instinct.
A second passed and the blue male shook his low head. Raising his head back up to the respected level of his rank, cold blue eyes were in the midst of the red lightning decorated sockets.
"Five minute break," he called out to the trees before him. No longer did the blue hued tail wag or was he looking over his shoulder to Alas. He hadn't felt anything passed the white laced paws touching his back, Crunch was numb and his body language read off such.

Alas straightened and frowned moving closer. "Are you alright? I didn't hurt you did I?" She tilted her head and tried to look at his back worried. Had she landed hard on his spine? Had she clawed him in her attempt to gain her balance? She sat down infront of the male her head lowered, but her eyes still gazing up at him questioningly.
Alas felt a sudden horrible welling of guilt, was this how it felt to harm someone? She hoped it was only because Crunch was a friend, if she felt this bad about hurting that Lynx she would never manage to defend herself or anyone else who might need her help. She took a deep breathing and calmed herself before speaking quietly once more. "Can I have a look?"

The male's defenses were back up to their fullest and he glared at Libenalas. She hadn't hurt him, he was more concerned of actually having gone completely instinctual and attacking her. The concerned look on the wolfess's face was a bother for the male in his current broiled state.
His eyes looked into Alas' lighter kinder eyes. "You didn't hurt me, Libenalas. Don't feel guilty about where your paws land in a fight. If you weren't a friend to my sister, or my pack...just remember the first time we met." He was referring to the day that Gracia and Crunch had found this open territory, and ran into Alas on the trip.

Alas frowned at the glare and edged back uncertainly until Crunch spoke, she was still uncertain about his moods. She nodded as she remebered their original meeting. "That's some growl you have..." she smiled softly and glanced at his back again.
"Can I please take a look though? Just to be sure..." She sat still her body relaxed despite the fact that she was sitting infront of a very dangerous male. Libenalas did not feel any tense pangs or worries. Slowly the guilt faded as she realized the male was just sensative about his back, she wondered why. Alas recalled when she had given a playful pounce before knowing Crunch wasnt playful. Yet she remembered the way they had been moments before tails wagging and circling in mock battle, perhaps he did have that sweet core she suspected.

Crunch just looked passively at Alas as she made a joke. Maybe this was funny to her, but once again the male had gone to his bitter side and seemed to be stuck there. He didn't crack a smile or so much as laugh at the joke, just glared.
When she asked to look at his back, Rome shook his head slightly. "No, Alas. There is no damage from where you pounced on me. It's just an old scar that makes me overly cautious of my blind spots." The male shifted himself on his white paws and moved towards the trees. "I say there has been enough taught today. If learned you will remember the stuff from today on the next lesson, I say come back in four moons."

Alas frowned and fell silent as Crunch's hard demeanor came back to play. She withered under his glare and looked down quietly with a nod before frowning at his last words.
"Four moons? Thats...too long a time...please...I need as much as quickly as possible...if anything should...happen" she sighed and backed up slowly deciding not to argue lest Crunch decide not to teach her anymore at all. She was curious about the scar on his back and how he got it, but didn't think it was a wise moment to ask.
She turned quietly to head back from whence she came hoping she wouldn't need to use her new skills.
