Karael listened to the woman speak, more interested in the dragon itself than the rider or surrounding young folk. She strongly suspected by the looks on their faces that many of the gathered crowd wanted to Impress. Pah... let them. She cared little for having to share her mind, soul, and very existence with another. It was too demanding.

Still, the dragons were an interesting lot, far different from the runners or herdbeasts that she was accustomed to. As the eager candidates stepped forward to touch thw blue, she abandoned her act of watching the herdbeasts and stepped forward herself to get her first good look at a dragon. She paused just long enough to give the blue and his rider a respectful nod and then settled herself to stand just beyond the other young people.

Kirana smiled a bit at Nestren, "I'm sure he was just kidding about the crawlers. Dragons tend to have a very wry sense of humor, so I've heard," She said, glancing at Zareth out of the corner of her eye before bowing to him and reciting, "Well met, Zareth," holding out her hand palm side up. "I promise I don't have any crawlers or tunnel snakes or any animal which would be of annoyance with me. Would you give me the honor of touching your hide?"

Ah, true to a Harper upbringing, Kirana did know how to make a formal request.

Heroe ran toward the others, she looked toward the Canadate Master and blushed for being so late.
"I-I'm sorry... Canadate Master... I...I got lost..." She stammered, she suddenly saw the blue dragon, her heart raced and her eyes grew big. The blue looked exactly like R'em's Larth, except not that many scars and such. The sight of the blue took her breath away. Her eyes watered with tears of aw and of sorrow as she could not take her eyes of the large blue. Any person can admire any type of dragon, but it takes a true dragon lover at heart to know true beauty. A dragon reflects their rider, both in personality and in appearence. Only a true rider can see that. To others all dragons would look the same. R'em's voice came into her head as she slowly made her way towards the blue's head. She looked into the dragon's great eye, a tear falling down her cheek as she suddenly hugged the blue.

Audris saw the figure of the candidate master and Heroe ahead of her, it looked as if Heroe had also been late for the lessons. This to Audris' relief gave her hope that she might not stand out as being irresponcible. She jogged up to the candidate master and bowed deeply with her eyes closed. As she straightend herself she saw the great blue dragon, she than realised that she must seem very rude for gawking like a small child and turned to give the candidate master her full attention. "I am sorry master I was late and it was my fault, I will take whatever punishment you wish to bestow upon me without complaint."

Rafaelle smiled politely at the Candidate Master, giving her a small mumbled apology for being late. Turning away from teh Candidate Master, she saw Heroe and Xilias and waved cheerfully to them, trying to look taller by standing up straight, and not succeeding very well. She sighed, then continued waving, though a bit diminished as she peered around for Talon.

She eventually stopped waving, feeling not the slightest embarassment, and turned her attention to the large, hulking blue dragon and the Candidate Master.

Audris glances at Rafaelle out of the corner of her eye. She saw that she did not seem the last perturbed about being late for the lessons. This heartend Audris and made her a little at ease, so as she stood next to Rafaelle infront of the candidate master she let a bit of her relaxed and even became a little embarrased about having bowed.

C'tari wandered onto the feeding grounds waiting for Feronamth to arrive. His bronze was starting to pale a bit from not having fed in quite some time. He was just a bit surprised to see the gathering of candidates but then remembered with a snort about the eggs that were on their way. The mating flight to which he'd been late. Which might be why his dragon wasn't very happy with him at the moment. It didn't matter that they probably wouldn't have caught the queen either way... still it was the principle, or so Feronamth would have said, if he said things like that. Which he didn't. Figuring this would be as good a time to meet possible future riders, he sat in the very back watching the goings on as if he was a candidate. xD

Feronamth at this exact moment was very high up indeed, gliding down in long spirals, ever so often rising back up on a thermal. A little giddy about hunting he was not about to spoil the moment by ending it too soon.

Audris began to get anxious and started looking around. As she did so she notied a rather old candidate making his way to the back of the crowd, she then started scanning the rest of the very nervous faces. With that Audris again focused her attention on the candidate master and suddenly found this a challenging task, for her eyes kept wondering to the masive blue dragon. Audris had to assure herself several times that this is how she could get her own, before she could fully focus on the matser infront of her.

Feronamth craned his neck and looked down below him at the feeding grounds trying to pick out the perfect target. He was momentarily distracted by Zareth sitting near a great group of younglings and C'tari. He bugled a hello to Zareth mostly because it had the secondary effect of putting the herd into a scattering run.

Audris almost jumped in shock at the deep heart stoppind sound that reverbarrated around her. She traced the source to a great bronze dragon in the sky. Audris was shocked not only at his appearance but at how quietly he had been in the sky not to be heard from anyone. Audris then searched in the direction he seemed to be flying from, in an effort to spot his rider.

Lemurrin looked up as Feronamth flew over head. Happy hunting! he called, still scritching Zareth's eye-ridges. He spotted C'tari, who looked familiar and a bit too old to be a candidate, and winked.

((Oh Shinzzzz! Where are youuu? xd ))

C'tari raised his eye brow not immediately recognizing the journeyman except for his rank.

Feronamth filled in the gaps. Lemurrin, he wishes me a good hunt and wonders why you are trying to impress a second dragon. Feronamth rumbled a bit while chasing the herd trying to pick out a single beast. I told him you grow tired of me, I take up too much space on the beach.

Did you tell him you also try to drown other riders? C'tari spoke both aloud and in thought as he often did.

Feronamth did not answer, but instead made a sharp bank singling out his first catch.

Kahlin looked at the candidates and the blue rider confused for a moment before it hit him. The people he had followed had not been going to the dinning room but to a leason and he had just gotten himself rather lost. He thought for a moment looking up at the blue...'Their a lot of people here maybe they won't notice me if I get a closer view.' He wanted a closer view of the blue unlike the bronze and brown he found the smaller blue and greens more beautiful.

Taking a deep breath he moved closer to the candidates keeping to the outskirts of the mass. 'Please don't notice me.' He thought. 'Or if you do don't call notice to me.'

Nestren looked at the other who continued to arrive even after the appointed hour. He frowned at this and looked at Kirana. As a harper, he was sure that she understood the importance of being on time. He understood it and he was only a holder''''s son. Biting his tongue, he waited to see if Zareth would say anything to him.

Touching Kirana''''s arm, Nestren looked up at his weyr-sister. "How many more do you think will arrive?"

Lemurrin coughed, trying to hold back a laugh at Feronamth's mental commentary. Eyes twinkling, he waited for furter instruction from Nico.
