Amoena's ears flicked back at the sound of the chain moving. It was likely that she would never forget that horrible haunting sound. She flinched as Nightshade's wings stretched out half expecting them to come crashing down on her as they looked a bit lethal like the rest of her. When they didn't she relaxed slightly until she spoke again.
Her eyebrows knit together in slight confusion before her eyes widened in understanding. She didn't have time to react further then that before a searing pain shot through her body like fire. She opened her mouth in a silent scream before she fell to the ground.
She knew it had been strange for that demon to just stop attacking like that. Why had she believed her?
She wasn't able to consider the answer for that, the wound was sending signals that captured her minds full attention. Her gaze turned to look at her shoulder where two, deep, identical gashes lay letting out rivers of her life blood. She couldn't look at it any longer it was making her feel ill so instead she looked up at the thing that made her feel the sickest of all.
"No...I...won't." She snarled up at the kalona mare a look of hatred burning in her bright eyes.

Shade stood over her downed prey, Amoena's blood rolled down her horns putting a new coat of crimson on the stained silver that must have been quiet pretty at her birth when they had been pure. She was grinning again her lps stretched over her fangs.
Then she softened against and stroked Amoena's cheel lightly with the spade of her tail "it's a very good leeson to learn little pet."
The kalona licke dher lips, the scent of o much blood in the air made it so hard to resist ripping into the light blue hide and shredding it to slivers, but that would ruin her lesson plan. With a cackle Shade tossed her mane and wrapped her tail around Amonea's leg she literally drug the mare down the path to the edge of the woods where someone would find her.
Shade lowered her hea dso her muzzle was by Amonea's ear "don't think me soft mare, I just don't want you dead ... yet" the last word was a ferocious growl like purr.
With a flick of her tail and a long cackle she galloped foreward and flapped the huge leathery wings taking flight and disappearing into the endles skies.

As she continued to lose blood she started to care less and less what was going on. She simply continued to glare at the demon until she felt her deadly tail wrap around her ankle. Then a look of confusion took the place of the anger as Nightshade began to drag Amoena across the ground. Her head fell limp unable to hold it up and just watched as the trees passed. She would make a sound of pain every now and then as a rock or twig would scratch at her wounds. As the are started to get light she began to recognize where she was, the forests' edge. This was when she was released.
Amoena lifted her head to look at Nightshade as she spoke again. Yeah like she would ever think that witch was soft. "Don't worry...I...won't..." She snarled back sounding more like a sleepy wolf pup then anything vicious. She watched as the demon flew off before letting her head flop back to the ground uselessly.
It hurt in more ways then one. Her body burned in pain, her mind was hopelessly confused and now her fighting spirit had been all but crushed. It was horrible and if she ever found that mare again she would be prepared to kill her. No, not just that mare, any kalona unwise enough to cross her path.
