Elizabeth laughed and brushed the hair out of Seth's face.
"You'll have to ask Alexandra before she goes off too far. Hurry now!" She got up and followed him to the door and watched as he ran off towards Alexandra. But something wasn't right...A slight movment from her right gave the gaurd away.

"Hey you! Street Rat! Get out of here!" He moved towards Seth, sword at hand. The little boy hadn't heard and kept running towards Alexandra, but the gaurd kept moving towads him. Elizabeth quickly turned around to shout into the building, "Nobody move!" before grabbing her staff and sprinting towards the commotion, stopping in front of the gaurd.

"Leave him alone you creep" She held her staff out, and her face was distorted in anger.

"Move out of the way wench." He held his sword before him. "Bego--" Before he could finished, Elizabeth swung her staff and knocked him off his feet. He groaned, the wind had been knocked out of him. She crouched down next to him and spat,

"Think twice before you pick a fight with one of my family."
When she turned to go back inside the old building, she saw lots of little faces in the doorway. Elizabeth laughed and put her hands on her hips while tapping her left foot. "I thought I said, 'Nobody move'. What happened to that?" The little faces immediatly disappeared.

She quickly stopped when she heard Elizabeth yelled. She turned around to see her fight off a guard. Seeing Seth Alexandra walked up to him smiling, "What is it?" she asked him. Quickly looking up she saw another guard. Pulling out her katana and ran behind Seth since that was were the guard was. She ran towards the guard yelling, "Seth stay back!" She knew better than to kill a guard at that moment and used the hilt of the katana and hit the guard with it right in the stomach. Watching the guard fall down unconcious she checked his pockets. Finding some gold she put her katana away running towards Seth. She looked at him smiling, "So what is it?" she asked him.

Minron was on patrol near the area, he thought it was a waste of his talents. he noticed some kid hit another guard with the hilt of her blade, then she pick pocketed him. "Filthy buggers." Minron unsheathed his blade and watched closely as the street rat greeted another of her kind.

Seth watched, trembling where he stood as he saw the second guard, his menacing blade unsheathed. He tried to cry out to Elizabeth and Alexandra but his voice failed him. If only Kemry were there, she'd know what to do. It was when Alexandra hit the second guard that he came to his senses, pulling out his little dagger as she ran back to him.

His voice quavered as he spoke, "I wanted to come with you, but," he glanced at the fallen guards, "I think we'll all have to go now won't we?" He paused sadly, not noticing the large, dark guard behind Alexandra, his sword also drawn.

"Who hurt that guard?" Minron spoke in an deep voice and walked closer. "Tell me who did it and the rest of you won't suffer, not all of you deserve punishment." He pointed his sword at Seth. "Was it you? Confess or tell me who did."

Akamaki seeing the guard threatning other street rats she quietly went up behind his horse and quickly spooked the horse than quickly stepped away into the shadows with Scrap following her.

The horse was spooked, but was smart enough to run back to his master. "What is it girl? I'm busy, theres a crime commited here." Minron never turned around as he spoke, he kept his eyes on the street rats infront of him. "Lucky there's no law for scaring my horse." He stepped closer towards them. "Don't make me have to punish all of you now."

He turned around to see her, the short girl, probably around his age, the one he got pissed and yelled at earlier. What they hell does she..."What the hell do you think you're doing following me?" he said, running back quickly toward her. "Don't you know where we are?" He couldn't tell her who he was going to see.

"This isn't day-camp, sweetheart!" he said, holding up her by the shirt. But as he looked into her eyes, her sweet, familiar, honey-gold eyes, he backed away. Turning around, he fell to the ground on his knees, and began to cry. Fingering the posessions in his knapsack, he thought to himself—Why did she have to find me today?

Running quickly despite her age and her seemingly frailness, she caught up to the two youngsters. One she hadn't seen before, the other she knew to well. As she neared them, she put her long brown locks into a ponytail, and stood in front of the boy, heaving, her hands on knees. Her billowy ropes were quite white and quite beautiful, despite the grime and dirt of the road.

"Karl you little toad." Her accent was quite thick, the kind of brogue one heard in the more germanic kingdoms. "What are you doing here? You should have waited for me at my stall."

She walked over to the girl and said, "You mind as come along too. Did you follow? Bad idea, girly. Look at your surroundings."

"Look, Mill, I got this covered."

"No, you look here boy. I won't have you snatched up and taken to some reform camp or something. You're nearly of age!"

She helped Karl up and brushed off his knees with the palms of her hands. Brushing his front she stepped aside and looked to the girl, saying "Lady Rodmilla Braunschweig, at your service." She smiled, extending a hand. "But you dear, can call me Millie." After shaking, she said, "Come on you two. We don't have time. Guards will be on the hunt at this time of day. I know a few shortcuts back to my domicile. Come! Hurry!"

With that, she began speeding down an alley way.

((Sry for the long delay. Compy troubles. I'll try to keep my battery charged as much as possible! Message me when you post Black Cat! Oh, and thanks Lady_Fire for adding Millie.))

Completely frozen to her place Kemry barely had any time to think let alone grab her dagger. She was already stumbling backwards, released from his hold, by the time the thought of it had even registered. Slowly she brushed herself off, watching him carefully as he held his knapsack. Blast it, she thought, looking up at the elegant woman walking toward them. She could still hear the guards' footsteps, though their laughter had stopped when the boy had yelled at her.

"I know perfectly well where we are you idiot!" she hissed, furious more at herself than at him. By then the woman had arrived, speaking to the boy Karl like a naughty little child. Kemry almost laughed, but then the woman told Kemry her name and her humor returned to shock. Lady Rodmilla, her thougths trailed off to memories as she looked at the woman with new eyes. She took the woman's hand and half smiled at her, her fury slowly fading away as she turned to follow the two once again. Almost as an after thought she spoke without looking up at Karl.

"My name's Kemry, by the way, and as to who I think I am," she paused wondering how to word it right, "I'm the scourge of the Streets, the Merchants Plague." Her eyes practically glowing with delight as she continued.

"I'm a Street Rat bent on feeding and protecting my family."

She smiled proudly at her last words. Family. Suddenly her thoughts jerked violently back to them, a surge of worry in her chest. She'd been gone way too long on this little detour, and something in the back of her mind was nagging at her urgently.

"I wonder," she whispered, running to Millie's side, "If this little detour might perchance take us past the old deserted inn just beyond the marketplace?" her heart fluttered as she waited for the answer. All games aside, something felt wrong.

Seth trembled as the dark armored guard approached, his massive horse behind him. He grabbed the small dagger, his only possession and a gift from Kemry, and nervously held it in front of him. If only Kemry were here, he thought with the trusting faith of a child, she'd protect me. She'd know what to do. He looked up to Alexandra and Elizabeth pleadingly for some word of confidence, some sign that everything would be okay. When the guard accused him of attacking the other guard he nearly jumped out of his skin. Defiantly he hollared back without thinking, his fear momentarily cast aside.

"I din' do nothing you big meanie! They picked on us first!"

Demitry was trying to avoid the guard as she was aiming for something else to eat. She had her dagger in her hand as she ran through the shadows of the buildings. She reached for an apple but then the guy at the stand was about to turn around, Demitry shrunk back into the shadows.

Karl raced ahead of the two. He knew where Mills was taking them, and felt to embarrassed to stay near the other girl. What kind of name is...wait, what's her name?

He reached Millie's house, a rather large mansion, white grecian columns with a priest's mark above the door. He slipped in the back, and waited for the other two.

"Kemery?" she said, still walking quite quickly. "So nice to meet you. As for your inn, I know it well. It's near my shop, Calficerico's? My husband had an odd first name."

As they neared her house, Rodmilla could feel the tension. Something was wrong.

"Kemery, we need to find safety soon. My home can provide us that. We will find your friends soon. We need to forge papers." She could tell the girl didn't understand what she meant, so she went on.

"Employment paper's silly! Today you're going to work." With that, she entered the house and waited for the girl to follow.

((Compy issues! I'll try to post ASAP))
