Well, we've done it now... We've broken fifteen years of tradition.
*Bard lowers her gently to the floor, staring fondly into her eyes*
I guess we'll need a new tradition. What do you think?

*she searches his face for a moment, then smiles tentatively* Aye . . . I suppose so. *then, almost reluctantly, she breaks her gaze away from his to look at the finished tree* It truly is beautiful . . . thank ye for allowing me te help with it.

It's a holiday cocktail party... a Christmas party.. so there will be drinking and dancing and fancy food. *he smiles* I'm so glad I was able to bring you tonight. I think you'll be amazed.
*He reaches for his winter coats. His arm's halfway up the sleeve when he stops and looks at Maggie sheepishly*
I'm so sorry... I bought you the dress... but *bites his lip* I forgot to buy you a winter coat....

Too cold for the dress you're wearing in any case.
*ponders* Well... the car will be heated, so no worries there. You can borrow my coat since I have the tux jacket...

*the coat is a little loose around her small frame, and her fingers barely peek out from the sleeves, but she nods and replies good-naturedly* 'Tis quite warm, thank ye.
