You've also gotta consider that rock band will probably cost a lot more than GH3 if you want to get the whole setup. So some people might just decide to only get GH3 since they already have a guitar and all they have to buy is the game. Personally I'm probably gonna try to get both, though I'll probably get GH3 first since I'm usually playing alone and Rock band wouldn't be worth it unless I brought it to a party or had some friends come over.

Honestly, I'm more excited about Rock Band's songlist than GH3's, especially if "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" really is going to be the final song sweatdrop
Because honestly, there are better ones. Led Zep's "Achilles Last Stand" would be better.

I think the Grim Ripper should be the final boss and the encore song be "Don't Fear The Reaper"! domokun heart

Eh, I don't like Rock Band's setlist all that much. (Die, Bon Jovi, die!) The only thing I really like about Rock Band is the character customization. Not quite sure how in-depth that's going to be though. Especially since I'm not a dude. "Create A Character" things in video games usually lack stuff for chicks. 'Cause most games are geared toward guys.
But yeah, GH3 FTW.

I dont really like how rock band is really played that much like you have to have a singer thats pretty good and bassist and guitar player that doesnt screw up as much as well and then drummer cant screw up as much.....so that means theres way to much Co-Op in that game so Guitar hero is in the clear

Exactly. 4 players playing at one time? One person is bound to screw up,and that'll probably end friendships

Actually you each get your own multiplier and your own rock meter. One person can fail while the other 3 get to finish the rest of the song.
"- If one person fails, the whole band does not fail, their section simply turns gray and they have to sit out the rest of the song unless one your band mates initiates star power, which will bring you back into the fold.
- If all bandmates can reach the end of a song, you'll be greeted with one huge free-form jam session."

Well, in regards to female chars in Rock Band, it looks like they get a lot of stuff too. Same amount of hairstyles. Probably some of the same clothes.
We'll see how it turns out when it comes out 3nodding

Haru Satoshi I'm not gonna buy both. hell, I might not buy either! but now I'm torn between them the confirmed track list for both have 2 band that I dearly want to be in both Raining Blood- Slayer GHIII Enter Sandman- Metallica that's really pissy... although I wish that they didn't choose Sandman. it's out played and there are better tracks then that. one example is Seek and Destroy. and most people like that song right? SEEK AND DESTROY! HARU!!! Also, I know I'm not getting Rock Band. Guitar hero is all I need, because I'm not too interested in singing (Or drumming, since I have a drumset of my own). I get guitar hero, I got my B.C. Rich Warlock Guitar, I'm good.

I haven't really been reading up / watching stuff about Rock Band. So I guess you're right.
I'll get the game, but I'm not crazy psyched about it like I am with GH3.
And as far as the four people playing at the same time thing goes: Does anyone else think that screen is seriously TOO ******** busy? I mean, I guess they didn't have much space to work with or whatever. But damn.
I do like how you don't lose the song if one person sucks a** at the game though. lol

I'm getting both as well. I wasn't so sure a few months ago if I was going to buy the game, but I've been watching gameplay vids and it looks fun as s**t.
I don't know if I should buy Rock Band for 360 or for PS3. Haven't made up my mind yet.

This is definity the last GH that im buying, and with Rock Band it alot better and more precise note charts. In GH3, almost none of the note charters probably play music. There are way to many 3 note chords. On RockBand it is more true to the real deal. Also with Rock Band, when you dont fell like Guitar or Bass theres always Druming and Singing...
I want to line the pieces up, yours and mine.

Theres no diference cuz its just a GH with more graphics and instruments.Plus theres songs that came out in gH3 already in there as well
