I don't really listen to music when reading, but I might try that out soon. I think I did it once or twice, it was quite an interesting effect, if I remember correctly.

As long as the music is up really loud, I can't hear anything else except my thoughts and the protagonist's voice telling me it's story, I'm good. I listen to either screemo or lounge. Whatever I'm in the mood for.

Jackie-senpai huskie_lov9 I can't listen to music while I read it distracts me sweatdrop Souls in the winds must learn how to bend
I'm the exact same way. Though I suppose I might be able to listen to classical while reading....But anything with lyrics would distract me horribly. sweatdrop
Seek out a star, hold on to the end I am with you both, I only listen to music with no lyrics, classical, instrumental, ect.... Or I listen to nothing...

Gods; I can listen to anything while reading/writing. It's just like white noise, and I get into a really good writing groove if the scenes are right; Tool, or anything James Maynard Keenan is my favorite thing to listen to though. ... or real metal...

I usually listen to my mix list on Itunes. That includes Firewater, Tom Waits and Tatu- In many cases if I want to calm my nerves I'll listen to Bach and Beethoven.

I don't like to listen to anything while I'm reading. I can still concentrate if I have to but I like the silence better.

I love books and I love music. I'll listen to anything while reading, which can on occasion lead to odd associations. Whenever I listen to one of the earlier 3 Doors Down albums, I will always think of the Redwall series. But I listen to everything from pop, rock, and (some) rap to foreign, classical, techno.

I listen to music 24/7. I can't live without my music so yes I do listen to music when I read. I listen to whatever I'm in the mood for really. I like to go to Pandora, pick a station and then just let it play through. whee I love my music and books. I rarely have one without the other. (._.)
