Ksrugi was thrown off by the massive force of X's lunge. He landed on his head and saw stars.

A black clad figure made its way stealthily across the boundaries of the Site B complex- the person had been seen only once but the chap that had noticed 0 paid no attention . It continued on with the mission- the structural integrity of the buildings would be easily compromised. Reaching into a black bag which 0 carried with it, it pulled out a lump of plastic explosive, 0 wired a timer to it quickly and stuck it at the base of the main building. It had wired numerous fail safes into the detonator and the timer- anybody who tried disarming without extensive knowledge would never do it. 0 grinned as he moved from building to building completely unseen placing high power explosives around the base of each one. It snook quickly and easily out of the grounds and paused at the edge of the forest, a helicopter would be here soon to pick 0 up- just in time to watch the fireworks and pick up the pieces...

Tao tried to scream but nothing escaped his dry mouth- he stammered some words which didnt make sense and as he was about to make a run for the cluster of people brawling at the forefront of Site B he stopped dead in his tracks...

Retloc grinned up at the angry X.
"What's the matter, X? Lost your touch?"
Jump kicking off the wall behind them, Retloc aimed a punch at X's dangling head...

Ksrugi clutched Tao's pant leg and mumbled something. He coughed and then mumbled it again, saying it over and over with more and more force.
"Tao...snap out of it."
Ksrugi shuddered and let go. He tried to stand and looked at X. Something inside him pitied the man, but something else released the repressed anger Ksrugi had built up while working with X.

X turned and slid a gun from his pocket towards Tao. His attention turned back to Retloc and Ksrugi- he swung for them. He was going insane with rage and frustration as he punched harder and harder directing each one at Retloc and Ksrugi- one after the other,
"Tao finish them- prove you loyalty..."

731 ran as fast as she could. She almost paused at the sounds of the fight within, but quickened her pace.
"I need to hurry..."
She clenched her hands into fists and entered the building...

Tao picked the weapon up and flicked the safety catch. His hands shook violently as his face turned a pale white. He raised the gun and squinted with one eye....

Ksrugi watched in horror as X seemingly manipulated Tao. He closed his eyes and awaited the iminent blow that would end his life.

Retloc saw the oncoming blows and grabbed hold of Ksrugi, shielding him with his own body. Again and again came the inhuman strength, clawing its way through his resistance. His only thought was to save Ksrugi. Through the blinding pain, Retloc saw Tao, with a gun in his hands.
He coughed up blood.
"Tao..."

"DO IT NOW!!"
X watched as Tao aimed the gun directly for Retloc and a glimmer shone in his eye- he turned to Retloc,
"Youre all screwed now.. whose lost their touch?"

Retloc released Ksrugi in the absence of pain, then grinned up at X.
"Look's like it's you."
Then, looking at Tao...smiled.

Tao aimed the gun directly at Retloc, he shuddered at the thought, his finger edged onto the trigger and just as he was about to squeeze he swung the gun from his clear shot at Retloc and squeezed the trigger. The bullet shot through the air- a zipping whizzing sound and as Taos eyes closed he heard a thump as a body dropped to the ground, he opened his eyes to see X laying there on the dusty ground in a pool of blood...

731 stood shocked at the scene that was unfolding before her.
"T-tao...?"
her eyes quickly turned to X as he screamed... 731 shook violently, she was afraid but she had to help...

Ksrugi opened his eyes and gazed at X's bloodied body. He grinned and then fell to his knees, bitter tears streaming down his face. This was it. After all they had been through, after all their hardships, all the people lost, it was finally over.
