Reina stood there and thought to herself, why would Lancelot hire someone to do what his knights do? It made no sence, but she took the paper from this man, holding her sword at him to keep a distance, and an upper hand on this supposed enemy. "Alright, let's see what we have here." She looked over the note, and it supposedly seemed that Lancelot had hired this man for the same job they were on. She was very skeptical, it didn't make much sence, so she tossed the paper back to Lain to read.
"Lain, read this, it does not seem legit to me, but I could always use a second opinion." Reina stayed silent for a moment or so, studying this man, he wasn't too suspicious looking, he was human after all, but how could she take a strager's word, especially one who knew their names and they had no real idea who he was.

Lain caught the letter in midair with one hand, the other steadfast to his bow. His eyes raped the letter every which way ,but how could they be certain. Why would Lancelot hire an assassin to do a knights job when he had an entire army at his beck and call. He read the letter one more time, and checked the stamp in the lower right hand corner. Lain knew there were spies within Camelots walls, and to trust a stranger would be foolish, but what other choice did they have.
"Here." He threw the letter back to the man. "Thrynnic Kal, is your name now is it. Know this, if you betray us in any way, I will sever you from navel to nose and have your entrails sent to the home of whatever love ones you claim. Do you understand me? I assure you, you would not like to taste my wrath even in the most favorable conditions."
He placed a hand on Reina's shoulder, signaling that she could drop her weapon, but knowing well that she would at least hesitate and at most fulfill Lains threat on the spot. "And when you address us, you will call us by our titles. I am Sir, and she is Madame." Truth be told, Lain did not fully trust the shabby stranger, but if he was telling the truth, killing him on the spot would be grounds for punishment for going against Lancelot's orders.
"Wheres your horse? You didn't plan on walking the length of the desert on your own two legs did you? And I don't find the idea of having a mans groin rubbing up and down my back for the entire trip too appealing." He strapped his bow across his back and click for Artemis to join them. "Do not take us for fools Mr. Kal, for we would be swift to prove you wrong." And with that he mounted his horse.

Ryn's eyebrow went up at the Knights words, but decided that it wasn't worth losing money to teach this man why he was hired. He simply said,"I do not own a horse, and Lancelot did not seem to think I needed one. Unfortunate as that is, I'll get one whenever we make a stop, Sir."
His eyes showed no hint that he had no loved ones, nor did his arms move any more than they needed to, to return the letter to its hidden pocket. He rubbed his right hand against the guard on his left wrist, watching the two, his eyes flicking constantly.

((Lain showing off his stern side, threatening the stranger, what a turn on! <3 XD))
Reina stood there, holding her sword level with the man's throat, touching the tip of the blade to his adam's apple, showing she would not hesitate to follow through with his threat if the opportunity arose. She waited one moment after Lain mounted, then withdrew her sword very slowly and put it in her sheath, moving over to Hades, keeping a close eye on him.
"As a lady, I wouldn't suggest a man I barely know to ride so close to me, and as a Knight, I wouldn't dare put myself in such a vulnerable possition. However, waiting for you to keep up with us would only slow us down tremendously, and we cannot waste another second, for every precious moment that goes by is another moment that could be used to aide our Queen." Reina put her index and middle finger together, pressing them to her lips and blew between the space in a high pitched whistle. Not far from them came a desert animal, one that mirrored a riding camel. The animal was tame, and was actually there to help travelers and tourists, as it had empty bags for use.
"That is your ride through the desert, and when walking you will stay behind one of us and in front of the other, so we have an eye on you at all times, understood? If you fail to oblige by any of our rules, we resume the right to punish you as we please." Reina winked to Lain, of course she wasn't that brutal of a person, to honestly kill a man without question, unless they were a serious threat, it was against the code, but she couldn't help to want to rattle the man's chains. With a stern look on her face, she pulled the map back out, and nudged Hades on forward, towards their previous destination.

A figure with a torn cloak and a huge axe emerged from the shadows. Thalgarik came into sight, his axe resting on his shoulder. He gave a nod towards Reina and Lain, but raised a curious eyebrow when he saw the stranger being threatened by them.
"What exactly is going on here?" He swung his axe down, planting it into the ground with a loud thud. "Acts of a**-kickery and I was not invited?" He crossed his arms and shook his head. "To be honest, I am quite disappointed. You both know giant's blood runs through my veins, hence the need for brutality." He gave a small laugh. "Just inform the next time this happens, would you?"
Thalgarik picked up his axe with ease and approached the stranger. His yellow eyes peered into the stranger's. "Who might you be?" He tilted his head slightly to the side.

"Thal!" Reina shouted with glee as she had seen one of her fellow Knights emerge from the desert sand. It was hard to miss Thal, he was far too tall for any of them to not see. "You must have gotten our letter, and it's about time too, I was starting to wonder if any of the other Knights would show up." Reina shook her head, pointing over to the man who called himself Thrynnic. "He supposedly was hired by Sir Lancelot to help us, but I wonder if his words can be taken seriously. Either way, Lain suggests we do not kill him, but keep a close and steady eye on him." The sun was beating down on them now, it was over the horizon and in the cloudless sky, forcing it's might onto the travelers.

Aye! Thalgarik. Nice to see you decided to join us."
Lain was facing he over sized brethren of arms awhile gently patting Artemis' neck. "Don't worry about the boy." He nodded in the assassins direction with a stern gaze."He was in fact sent by Lancelot, like Reina said, and I don't see the point in killing him just yet, besides, if he is a fiend, he has two Elves and tower to deal with." He locked eyes with Reina, he had never considered her half anything, she was an Elf in his eyes, one of his own, pure blood or not. He had served by her side in many battles, and knew her strength all too well, but she was always growing, advancing in the art of magic and combat at a remarkable rate, she did both of her kin proud.
"Why don't we stop all this lallygagging. We need to reach Serionia in a decent amount of time, but I know there is an oasis close by, though it's not marked on the map at all." He had caught his Elven counterpart gazing at the parchment with a map upon it's face. Artemis gave a snort, and Lain knew what it meant. "Come on, we have to get out of the sun and under some shade." he tugged the steeds reins and instantly they began to ride off toward the east once more.

"An Oasis? That sounds great, a short little spa treatment! Lead the way Lain!" Reina tugged Hades to follow Artemis and still kept an eye on the assasin, who she had to give some respect, as a teenager such as herself, to be put into battle without any idea whether he would live or not, was valiant, or stupid. The sun was beating down, and yet, it didn't phase her too much at this time, but she could feel Hades' dark black coat heating up faster. Getting some of her own water out of the canaster, she poured it onto her hand and massaged it on his back and neck to keep him cool, leaning over and kissing behind the steed's ear.
"We should not be too much longer, just hang in there for a little longer, and then you can rest. We'll be out of this desert soon enough." Her words soothed the beast, and he lift his neck, prodding over besides the others, galloping to gain speed. While they were leaving their trail in the sand, Reina pushed her hands in front of her, facing Hades' rear and wiping away the tracks they made in the sand, making it more difficult for them to be hunted down. Moving the earth, especially an element such as sand was a lot easier than trying to erase marks set in stone.

Thalgarik nodded and shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever you two say. It is rather hard to believe that Lancelot would send an assassin to aid us. I thought he had a tad more honor than that."
He tapped his fingers on the long handle of his axe, seeming to be deep in thought. After a moment or two, he finally spoke.
"Well, I suppose ol' Lance had his reasons. These are some-what troubled times..." He glanced back at Thrynnic. "...and we must be a few wings short of a full chicken."
As he rambled, Thalgarik finally noticed that Lain and Reina had taken off. He growled under his breath, but then sighed, not entirely surprised at this. "I never needed a horse." With that, he took off running after Lain and Reina.
