An idea dawned on the Lonarian as he continued to pound on the zombie, not really getting anywhere. If this beast was the same as the other zombies he had fought in the past, perhaps he was taking the wrong approach...

With a mighty, muscle-straining effort, Azreal flung the beastly zombie into a nearby crowd of lesser zombies. Far too stupid and slow to move out of the way, the beast zombie landed hard onto his smaller brethren, crushing them underneath. If Azreal was lucky, the powerful throw and painful dislodging would be enough to take down the big guy.

There was no mighty roar or vicious battlecry as Azreal pounced onto the dying sallow corpse. Just determination... cold, iron determination. Without hesitation, Azreal knocked the beast to the ground. He grabbed the creature by its decaying scalp and wedged his blade in between the eyes of the zombie. < >

Enraged, Azreal channeled the fury of losing the beast into one of his hands. He could feel the emotion burning and growing, until it could no longer be contained inside his simple being.
And oh, a fireball did he shoot.

As Azreal was wreathed in the warm, glowing aura of his accidental recovery spell, he mumbled several curses that would have wilted the inborn monkeys that populated this town, were they not animated corpses. Overall, he supposed, that could have gone worse. Turning to his guarding troops, he formulated another attack strategy. This time they would strike in waves. < >
