Despite the chikorita's lanky figure which was odd for a creature that was originally fairly short and stubby she was...very ungraceful and uncoordinated. The fact she didn't care about falling or hurting herself didn't help.
Tripping her vines came out immediately to catch her balance. Acting like a long pole she managed to catch her balance but Piper was already gaining a lot of distance on her.
"Ah wait up!" she called despite the fact this was a race and 'waiting up' wasn't really something you did .

The hyper bird girl was running all out. Racing was one of her favorites! However, she heard Tyra's call and turned to see where the other girl was. Wow.. that was some ways back... Piper slowed down for her friend. What was the point of a race, again?

Tyra beamed seeing her friend slow down she managed to regain her balance and then go to catch up. She was only a couple feet behind the girl now.
"go Go go!" she said with a gleeful laugh. She liked this girl! She was awesomely fun! And she was really nice besides.
Jayoku watched an amused smile on her face, the other girl had slowed down despite this being a race, she certainly was nice. though...maybe they didn't understand the rules of this game. She started walking towards the 'finishing line' and glanced down at her watch. It was getting late. They should probably be heading home after this.

Piper giggled as her friend drew nearer and began cheering her onwards. The girl turned and started racing towards her father again. She could see the man's outstretched arms acting as the finish line. "Almost there!" She cheerfully called back towards her friend.
Peri could hardly keep from laughing at his daughter pausing for her friend. Maybe the girl didn't understand races very well... Oh well, they were having fun and that was all that mattered, right?

Hearing the giggles she tried to hurry along though was looking rather awkward doing so. "Almost there!" she cried otu her hands reaching out as if to grab the girl in front of her...though still a few feet short of being to accomplish that goal, it looked like she was trying to tackle the fire bird.
Jayoku watched and clapped on as she heard Peri cheer the children on. It was no contest who was the winner. Piper even by slowing down was still faster than her little girl.

Piper grinned as she ran into her father's arm, giggling joyfully as she dangled for a moment before her feet hit the ground again. She turned to find her friend, feeling her father pat her on the shoulder. "Good race, girls!" Peri told the two as he smiled at them.

Tyra was giggling as she caught up to Piper. It was nice to see her father be so attentive to her. Tyra gave a cheer at Peri's words, yes the race had been fun!
Jayoku came up from behind sweeping her daughter up awkwardly since the woman wasn't exactly the strongest person in the world. Tyra giggled at her mothers silliness.
"That was a lot of fun! but we better get going." Jayoku said with a small smile, Tyra looked disappointed at being told this news.
"But mama! We are having so much fun!" she exclaimed as if this would be enough to keep them together a bit longer. But her leaf wilted as her mother shook her head.
"Hun we got to go home and plan dinner." She explained before turning to face Peri her daughter still in her arms.
"We should definitely get our girls together in the future." She said and the chikorita girl brightened considerably at those words.
"Yes yes! Piper should come over!" she said with a gleeful sound.

Peri smiled as the woman scooped her daughter up and Piper giggled back at them. Peri nodded, "Yes, we should go as well..." Piper frowned, though she cheered up at Jayoku's statement.
"Yeah!" The girl cheered at the though of going over to Tyra's home. "I wanna go!"
Peri chuckled. "Not now, Piper... We've got to go home." The man pulled a pen out of his pocket and found a scratch piece of paper that was stuck in there as well and scribbled something before handing it over to Jay. "Here's my number. Call me. We'll arrange something." The man smiled and glanced down at his girl. "Alright, Piper, time to go!"

Jayoku took the paper and tucked it awkwardly into her pocket whilst holding her little girl.
"I will make sure to call." She agree'd Tyra nodding her head all the while.
"Yes yes, must come over!" She squealed again.
Jayoku hugged her little girl and then offered a small wave before turning away.
Tyra on the other hand held onto her moth but used not only a hand but two vines to wave goodbye to Piper and her dad.
"BYE! See you soon!" she called out happily.
