She shook her head when he asked and she looked up to see where the sun was in the sky. Seeing it was close to being almost lunch time, she looked to him, "I never was able to catch breakfast, but lunch is coming up fast."

"Good, because I am starving. You just wait here," Abel instructed, placing his glasses on his mantle. He jauntily padded over to the water's edge and looked back over his shoulder.
"And I'll be back in a jiff with lunch!" he finished and slid into the water.

Morgy was about to say she would help him, but he insisted on catching them some lunch. So instead she smiled in thanks and nodded, laying herself down on the shore to wait, crossing her front paws together.

Abel dove under the water and this time swan very slowly, eyes narrowed. There! With a strong flick of his tail, he shot forward and his jaws locked around a wriggling fish. He was just about to swim back to the surface when he saw something else move in between two rocks.
A few minutes passed and Abel resurfaced, a fish under his whiskers, a crayfish in his paws, and somehow managed a smile on his maw.

She patiently waited on the shore, watching a few dragonflies go by and she lifted her head up when she heard something surface and she made a happy whistle type squeal to see him have such a fine catch and a happy, thankful smile spread across her maw.

Abel flipped over onto his back and paddled over to the bank. He rolled over and flapped out of the water, thankful for his water-resistant wings.
"Unsh ith serd," he said, still with the fish in his grinning mouth.

She padded over to him when he came onto the shore and he reached over and took the fish from his mouth, "It's a little hard to understand you when your mouth is full!" she said with a small giggle.

Abel chuckled and his eyes shut with the action.
"Sorry. I said 'Lunch is served'," he repeated and held up the crayfish, too.
"And I was lucky to find this too," he said with a grin. He'd probably have to go get another fish, but he couldn't hold two at once.

Morgy held the fish carefully in her paws, but didn't move to eat it, and she held it out to him, "Did you want the fish?" she asked.

Abel smiled and shook his head slowly.
"Nope, I was just about to go back in and get something for myself. Just didn't have enough teeth," he chuckled and put the crayfish on a nearby rock.

Morgy smiled and nodded, "Well, thank you very much Abel." she said as she moved to the water to wash her fish before she ate.

Abel nodded and returned to the water for a fish of his own.
It took him a little longer, but he managed, coming up with a slightly smaller, but still otter-meal-worthy, fish in his jaws. He cleaned it off before shaking himself and deftly breaking its neck. He muttered something over it, as he always did before he ate.

Morgy finished cleaning her fish and then she started to eat it, making sure not to make too big of a mess of it. It was quite good and it would help to fill her stomach. She smiled when he came up with his own fish.

Abel placed his glasses back on his nose and quickly devoured his, wiping his mouth on the back of his gloved paw.
"My that was good," he commented and nodded to the crayfish. "You can have that. They're a rather tasty little treat if you're lucky enough to find one," he added, pushing his glasses up a little farther. He picked up the remains of their fish and carried them a ways away, burying them as he was accustomed to doing before returning and settling down facing her.

She ate her fish quietly, not one to make alot of noise when she was eating food. She got rather full, and nodded her head in thanks when he took the remains of their fish to dispose of. She looked to the crayfish and debated really eating it, insisting he have it for himself since he caught the fish or taking it back to the others, knowing they would enjoy the rare treat. She gave him a warm smile when he returned, then she got up and went to the water to wash off her paws and face, licking at the pad of her paw and wiping at her nose and eyes carefully.
