Hey everyone, glad to be here! You can call me Ambi if my name's too long. I'm 21 and divide my time between Arziona GMT 8 and London GMT 0 (where my family lives) so I suspect my posting times will be irregular.

Hi Everyone! I'm 21 and I've been into Greek Mythology since the 7th grade. I'm excited to be in this guild where I can talk with other people who love the Greek gods like I do.

Hello all!
I go by the name of Sulis Minerva on Gaia and Mayqueene on livejournal. I am an older Gaian and I am also a Pagan. I am currently studying Druidry with the ADF and my hearth culture is Celtic. I am of Irish, Scots, English and Swedish descent.
But for all of that, I have loved Greek and Roman mythology almost since shortly after I got my first library card when I was 8. I am really thrilled to be a part of this guild and I do ask your forgiveness if I am less then chatty at first. It takes me a bit of time to get into the flow of new groups. But I will be happily reading and adding to conversations when I can. smile

Well, I'm new to the guild. My name is Bianca. Mythology is my thing and I believe will be for awhile. I love history and all the stuff that goes with it. What got me into mythology was actually reading the Iliad and also a book called Cupid, which is about the romance between Eros and Psyche. If there are any other questions anyone has, please PM me. I love talking about the gods and goddesses.

Hey I'm new. My name is Roisin (Row-sheen) for those who are accustomed to Gaelic names. It's not Raisin, Roysine, or Ro.. Ro is a common nickname but I'm happy with my full name. Some people outside the computer call me Yoshi. So I can answer to that if need be. lol
Sorry about the bitchiness, I'm from BC in Canada, where some people don't understand that everyone's name is not Amanda (No offense to those named Amanda! I have a lot of friends named that. Just not me XD)

Onto business!
I'm 17 turning 18 in April, and I've been a fan of Mythology since I was young enough to pay attention to the bedtime stories my dad use to tell me. It was mainly Celtic history and mythology, of which I'm still strongly interested in now. My fascination with Greek Mythology began in grade four when I borrowed a book from the library. When they got it back at the end of the year it was overdue by months, and worn from me going through the pages everyday.
I don't have a favourite God persay, but I do worship Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt and Night. She just embodies a lot of things to me that I wish were me, or similar to me at least.
But yes... Umm anyhting else you want to know about ask..

Hey, I'd ask to be called Hermes but that seems a bit unappropriated here so please call me Lue. Central eastern Canadian and i've been interested in greek myth going way back farther then i can remember. Feeling a bit old clocking 23 years here but i'm sure you don't mind.
Its not too hard to tell who my favorite gods are by checking out my profile, but just encase I have always been a great admirer of Hermes and Apollo. An professional artiest myself its not hard to see why. I give my vote out to Athena as well, one fine woman i would be proud to tip my hat to, and Aphrodite scares the crap out of me.

Hello! I'm Silver and I LOVE Greek Mythology. Especially the story of Hades and Persephone. ^_^
I have a have a muse, Midnight, but she's out on extended vacation right now. >.<
So my writing ability is gone. (sob) [I'm trying to write Spoofs/Parody]
Anyways, i'm 21, I live in Roebuck, SC and I get bored very easily.
So I study Mythology to keep me occupied. ^_^

Umm hello. I'm The Flying Green Monkey, I also go by TFGM for short. I got hooked on Mythology when I was in 5th grade. So 1999 I think. Well I really got into it in Middle School. Greek was the first Mythology I read so I like it the best. I love all Mythology. I'm from California. I'm finishing up my High School life this year and starting my College life. I love good stories and history and Mythology combines them!

I'm Aeronn and I'm a 20-year-old English major at a smallish school near Washington DC. I can't remember what first interested me in Greek mythology, but it was a long time ago. Um...my favorite god/dess is probably Proteus, though I like the various death-related ones as well.
I didn't like the Disney Hercules, but I rather liked the Sinbad cartoon. biggrin

I've always loved greek mythology for some reason. I grew learning a lot about it without realizing it, then I found out that my Yiayia (grandmother) was born in GReece, and I just started taking more interest to my heritage.

Hi, I'm andiemaeve. My screen name here on Gaia is a combination of my two nicknames Andie & Maeve. I usually go by Andrea, Andie or Maeve. I'm currently studying towards a BA in Classical Studies and English Literature in Wellington, New Zealand. I've been in interested in Greek mythology for about 11 years now, so about half my life give or take a few months. The Classics part of my degree is mainly focussed on the Greek world, it's just so fascinating. I tend to cringe at misrepresentations of Greek myth and any Classical text I have read in its entirety. I think that's about all I can say about myself, other than the fact that I am lovingly holding onto my Classics text books.

Hi my username is Xo-Rose Toranaga-oX just call me Rose though. I'm 17. Anyway I've been into mythology since about 4th grade I think. Anyway I love all mythology stories and Hermes is my favorite god, Hades is my second favorite cause he's really a lonely figure rather than evil like popular culture thinks. My favorite goddess is probably Persephone, Psyche, or Calliope. I Artemis but the only story I really like about her is the Orion one but it gets changed too much in other versions and it makes her look bad (like the version where she killed him for trying to kiss her, what a b***h).
