Yaeka-Sama I've seen this issue being discussed so many times and I have to say I am totally fine with Gays adopting children. But I've never seen so many people disagree with me and so harshly as well when I discussed this in the past on Gaia.
Discuss:
If you think Gays should be allowed to Adopt.
Here are some things I like to point out and say to:

I fail to see how this works. If just by having gay parents turns the child gay, then how do you explain the gay or bisexual children birthed by Heterosexual parents? Besides, I have a guy friend who has gay parents. And he's loves women.
How are we not? We're giving the child a home to live in, clothes to wear, and food on the table.

I don't think so. Kids can live with whoever their parents are. The key here is that they need GOOD role models. Even if it's two dads or two moms, as long as they are good and caring to the child, they are good enough role models to raise the kid. There are plenty of families with mom and dads that have kids that are awful parents. Beating the child is not a good role model. I've also seen a lot of good single parents in the world as well. Being gay has nothing to do with being a good or bad parent.

I beg your pardon? I think that Gays should be allowed to adopt. I have a best friend whos parents are gay-but he wasnt adopted. He rides horses, gets good grades, and is in a 4-H club with me. He is perfectly normal. I have another freind whoose older sister is Gay. Right now shes in college and is a really nice person and awesome cook. So what do you freaks who say "NO" have against it? I mean YOU want have to have Gay parents.

Thanatos301 Well naming the fact that i used to be Bi-sexual, i think kids would be fine with 2 dads or 2 mothers, it doesn't really matter aslong as there not getting showed to drugs, or abused then what he hell, go adopt a child if your gay or not. I have many gay friends, and there really nice people, yes some may come preppy, but don't judge all of them that's my o pion.
Comfort and happiness... And annoyance and disappointment, too!

Anyway, I think they should be allowed to adopt. With all the kids who are homeless, living in adoption centres etc. it should be a crime to not allow people to adopt.

In my humble opinion gays shouldn't be able to adopt childern. Not because im against gays but beacuse i dont think it is fair for the child.
The child is brought up in a home that is baised towards a certain lifestyle.
People may say "the child doesnt have to be gay if he doesn't want to" but if the child rejects the parents lifestyle (by not being gay) how does he/she live with them? I don't know i guess id have to be gay to truly understand.

The child is brought up in a home that is baised towards a certain lifestyle. People may say "the child doesnt have to be gay if he doesn't want to" but if the child rejects the parents lifestyle (by not being gay) how does he/she live with them? I don't know i guess id have to be gay to truly understand.  "Forever...I'm sorry, but are you a complete moron? How is not being gay rejecting their parents' lifestyle?
Also, religion, heterosexuality, feminism, patriotism etc. are ALL lifestyles. You cannot say that about one and not the others. ...and ever."

I think that it should be up to the parent that is giving out the child (sorry if I may have worded that wrong). I think that the child will have a much less social life and may end up being homosexual. Also, the child may go on to be a doctor or lawyer because they have no need for personal life after the torment of going through school with two dads or moms showing up at the parent-teacher conference. Maybe it might even be better if the child was adopted by homosexuals of the oppisite sex because they may have alot less chance of going that way if both of their parents are going for the thing that the child should naturally go for.

I see no problem with gays adopting children. A good parent doesn't have to be gay or straight. Parents suppose to be good role-models. If the child become gay/lesbian, that is his/her decision. I don't think gay couples force the child into homosexuality confused .

I grew up with just a mom and no father in my life up till recentally and I'm just fine. I think it's great when gays adopt kids because everyone should be able to have children.

I think you pretty much explained why they should be allowed to adopt children in your first post! =D
I just think that it's so ridiculous how empty-headed people can be... They make it seem like being gay is a disease.. Or that gays are a like some kind of horrendous creature. =/

Living with Gay Parents makes the child more open minded I would think. =/ I have a friend from High School who sees his mother still and lives with his Gay Fathers and younger brother. They both have no problem with it at all and they're both Heterosexuals.

If gay guys adopt kids it wouldn't be the end of the world. They need someone to love too. They need a chance to be parents too. Who cares if they adopt so. If peaple are that mean as to reject gay people then i dont know what this world would come too. We're all human an we all need chances. cool rolleyes
