Usiku giggled behind the stump. Peaking around the corner, he saw Eknath was getting closer and figured he'd get the hang of this game quickly. Hide and Go Find was the best game ever. At least that was Usiku's opinion.
Usiku noticed that the sky started turning a pinkish-orange color. It must have been dusk. Usiku was to be back with Aylen before dark, otherwise she started worrying. But he didn't know what to do with the little one he found today. He figured he could finish up his favorite game real quick and then see what to do with Eknath.

He walked closer to the edge of the stump and peeked around it. Why was he hiding from him? Was that the point of the game? Eknath jumped into view of the other and made a rather funny sound. Something that sounded much like someone making a Roar. He smiled and wagged his little tail as he watched the other to see what he would do next.

Usiku popped up and giggled. "Yay! You found me!", he smiled, looking down at the small malu that was making a funny noise. "Now you go hide!", Usiku told him excitedly. Pretty soon, it would start getting dark and hoped Eknath would take his turn quick.

Confused of what the other malu wanted, he walked behind the other and sat down and covered his head as if to "hide" from the other. As long as he couldn't see the other, the other couldn't seem him, right? He wiggled his tail back and forth trying not to laugh as he did so.

Usiku saw the small malu cover his eyes to "hide" and giggled. That wasn't how you played the game, but it was still a funny attempt. Walking up to Eknath, Usiku nuzzled the little one's sides to tickle him and announced, "I found you!".
Looking at the sky once more, Usiku was starting to see the darkness sweep over the sky. It was definately getting late now and he couldn't stay much longer. "I have to leave, Eknath...", he frowned. "I don't know what to do with you though. I don't want to leave you, but I can't take you either..."

Well, that was faster then before, perhaps he got lucky. Better luck next time. He'd never find him them. He uncovered his eyes and tilted his head at the other, well, why couldn't he come. He didn't want to be left alone again. Or at least left alone here. There were all types of scary creatures at night. "Bbb" He tried to say but, but he couldn't figure out how to say it except the B part.
He stood up on his tiny wobbly feet and walked towards him a little. Trying to make sure he didn't fall. Tail wagging a mile a minute.

Usiku noticed Eknath trying to say something, but couldn't make anything out of it. He had to figure out what to do with the little malu so he was safe. Looking around, it was getting a little more difficult to see due to the darkness, but he was getting his night vision. In the near distance, Usiku noticed what seemed to be a rabbit hole. Usiku gently grabbed Eknath by the scruff and trotted his way over to the hole. Looking down it, it seemed to be vacant. "I have to go now, Eknath.", he told the little one with watery eyes, licking him in a brotherly manner. Usiku just hoped that he would be safe here.

Eknath didn't really understand that much, but wobbled into the whole when the other sat him down. Well, it looked rather cozy. He yawned and walked around in a circle before plopping down and looking up at the other. Tail wagging as he did so with a smile on his face.
For some reason, he figured he was about to be left alone, but knew that the other would come back for him another time. He yawned and put his head down and closed his eyes. Perhaps it was best to fall asleep while the other was still around.

"Now you stay here, okay?", Usiku told the little malu. He gave him another lick on his forhead and a nudge to go to sleep. Usiku quickly went to go get a fallen branch with leaves he saw earlier and came back to cover the hole with it. Eknath seemed to blend in with everything well, which was good. "Goodnight Eknath.", he whispered, slightly teary-eyed. Usiku wished that he could have just taken him home right now more than anything.
Scampering off into the night to head home, Usiku couldn't stop looking back to make sure he was alright or didn't get out of the hole. He seemed fine and the branch seemed still, so he continued on his way. He hoped he would see this malu again soon.

Eknath was already a sleep and didn't hear most the stuff the other had said. Didn't even notice him leave, or the branch of leaves there that he'd snack on in the morning. The little guy was rather comfortable and snoring his head off as he twitched in his sleep.
