Pha! There is no "too big to wear a thong", only "too big to easily find a thong".

One side of my family absolutely made being overweight horrible. I was afraid to even eat in front of them, which sucked as we always went over to their house for holidays.
They'd praise me for eating less, and once my uncle tried to lecture me for a pepsi zero. I love my family a lot, but I hate eating around them sweatdrop

Everyone on my mother's side of the family bugs me.
Especially my grandma, like, when I was just "developing" and I went from like, flat to D practically overnight whenever I would try to go clothes shopping with her she would constantly nag at what I picked out "Oh you can't wear that, your boobs are too big" she always said it really loud and it was really embarassing.

I just hated shopping with my mom because she was pretty much like that. She'd criticise everything I picked out and tried on, and then tell me I needed to lose weight.

Circleofdeath My parent tell me im fat everyday and that i should lose weight. The irony is that they are overweight too. Same here, my mom doesn't even have a neck anymore! But when I do lose weight she gets pissed off at me and tells me I'm a whore or must be doing drugs. Gah I can't win. But that's why I love college I don't have to be near her. Mwhaha.

I pretty much only have had two blood relatives. My mom, and my 'other mom', my great aunt. My great aunt raised me, but it was really hard, because she was from the Great Depression era. You have perfect manners, you don't visit friend houses at night, you dress like a perfect lady, and you don't eat too much food. This drove my real mom nuts, because she couldn't get custody of me, and she could see that I didn't have friends, and didn't have much confidence at all. What confidence I did have was from the friends I met in the SCA, when my mom could snag me for a weekend. Now that my great aunt has passed away, though, she's getting just as bad, because the only person with an income here is her, until I get my Social Security Income. So we get yelled at for eating too much, leaving any lights on, asking for anything extra. But then she turns around and spends money on everything BUT the bills. Which my name is on all of. The stress has made me lose alot of appetite, and I've actually lost some weight, but she always has to make some little comment about how she's lost soooo much weight, and that I can have the jeans that are just 'way to big' for her. she's ONE SIZE smaller than me. scream

kissingfategoodbye, your mome is a lumpy b***h. I imagine she insults your weight because she's projecting insecurities about her own weight problem, and you loosing weight threatens her and reminds her how dumpy she is, but that doesn't make it any less horrible.
Orissia: That just plain sucks. -_- You know what? My grandparents on my father's side were great depression era, and they tried to give their children a rich and full life now that there actually was an opportunity to do so. You're mom is being a silly goose (or other female animal) and I hope she gets over it.

My mom threatens to kick me out all the time, but I think she realizes it's even more distressing and debhilitating to never follow through with said threat.
