Keon made his way back to Bumu's classroom. He placed his bag on the floor and took out some lunch. He then remembered he wasn't finished with the poetry book he started reading the day before. The page was still held by a book mark. He decided to open it and begin reading once again. He picked up right where he left off. A smile crossed his face as he read the poetry written by the old shinobi. It was clear and had some relevance to his life. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 16 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = 14 VS 8 Pass]]
Keon turned the page, there was more poetry by the same writer. Keon was more interested in his voyages around the world than his training, which was weird because he was not that much of a reader. He was stupid as most people would say, however he would soon prove them wrong in ways that would not involve excessive violence. The words would capture him from that way of life. He was trapped between the metaphors and similes of the unnamed ninja. The words on the page brought him to another time. As he read the words he was transported to each place talked about in the poem. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 13 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = 11 VS 8 Pass]]
He looked at the other side of the page and began reading the lines. He was transported to a land of brown, yellow and red leaves. It was autumn and he was in love. With a women he had known for not long at all. He met here on some espionage. She was the daughter of an innkeeper. She served me warm sake and ate with me even after everyone turned in for bed. It was almost hard to pull away from the page since he was in such a good place. He loved where he was. It was so peaceful and beautiful It brought tears to his eyes really. He brought the book up higher to cover his eyes. As the poem started to get darker. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 14 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = 12 VS 8 Pass]]
Keon closed the book. He was too emotionally attached to continue reading. The ninja was caught and attacked. This love poem was longer than the rest and also the last in the collection. He tried to open the book but the mood change was too drastic for him. He simply shut out the information. He had put himself into a situation he wasn't ready for. Unlike the poet he was only eleven years old. He still had hope for the world to be a good place. Things like the loss of loved ones wasn't something he could wrap his mind around. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 7 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = 5 VS 8 Fail]]
He opened the book up. He came to the conclusion that it must end well since the shinobi was still able to finish these poems. However this was not the case. He wrote this poem as his last wish and gave it to the innkeeper's daughter. She was the one who found all of his poetry and comprised them into a book not too different to the one he was currently reading. Keon was sad. He was more upset that he was so sensitive to the poem. Soon he would graduate to a full fledged ninja after tomorrow and having strong emotions would hinder his progress and possibly get him killed. After the last poem Keon was having a hard time finding more good poetry. He just wasn't interested in anything else and he simply just began flipping pages. He looked at the titles of poems and those without a name got the first line or so read, but nothing more. He just had no drive to read. It could have been due to the mood the last piece of poetry put him in. Could be because of how low his mental capacity was. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 1 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = -1 VS 8 Fail]]
Keon saw a few good titles, but no filling, and some with horrible tittles. Which could have been good but since the first thing he read was the tittle and it put him off he didn't bother with reading the poetry beneath it. He wasn't a strong reader and tittles with big words in it or started with a powerful metaphor were ignored by him. He wanted something fun and relevant to his life. Something that he could take with him no matter where he was. Something he could remember in times during his life, where the message would be helpful. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 5 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = 3 VS 8 Fail]
Keon would find just that on the last page. It was yet another love poem. Something incredibly irrelevant now that would be a great help to his life in the future, no matter how far or close it might be. He read the words. It was almost as if it were advice. He was taken to a place where he was sitting on his mothers lap. He was younger, much younger. Maybe five or six. She was telling him how cruel love could be. But also how rewarding it is when you find enough of it. Keon would know what to do in the situation, if he ever find himself in it. However he'd have to learn how to talk to people first. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 17 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = 15 VS 8 Pass]]
These poems were bringing out a side of him he didn't like. It was almost as if these poems were a mirror into the real him.these pieces of artwork showed him how interconnected the world really was. It was hard for him to break away from the pattern of reading poetry that hadn't a bigger meaning. It was almost as if he were addicted. The fact that the book only had one left, forced him to try to break the habit. However he would fail, since all the other poetry didn't appeal to him. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 1 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = -1 VS 8 Fail]]
The boy would read the last poem. One called "My Dog". It was a poem dealing with loyalty as well as how to treat a friend and inspire those around you to do great feats, most of which no one would think to be capable of on any other day. The poem took place at a house. A simple one. One bedroom, one bathroom, and a fireplace. It was just him, his wife and his dog. After his wife left him he was alone with his dog. Who inspired him to become a successful merchant. End the end he becomes rich and wealthy, his wife returned and the end was good. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 19 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = 17 VS 8 Pass]]

Keon Had almost looked over every poem in the book. He saw some he liked and some he liked less. However the ones he liked less were all that were left. He had to stomach reading one. He didn't like the premise that he was forced to read something that he didn't like. He would see it as a challenge and have his natural need to be the best carry him through the experience.
This next poem was about nothing in particular. It was abstract writing. It clouded up his head like a dream he could not remember no matter how heard he tried. He hadn't the slightest idea what he was reading, but it gave him nice mental imagery. He liked not knowing that it was about, but the vivid colors and shapes it gave him were enough to make him like it. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 18 ) + Intelligence ( -2 ) = 16 VS 8 Pass]]

Keon closed the book. He would most likely come back to it. However as of now he had to start his Genjutsu Kai training. Keon would head out to the training field. As soon as he was done with the training he would begin on his surface walking technique. He would think not to have any trouble with that jutsu since it was rumored that water walking is more difficult. That and the fact that he nearly drowned doing the water walking technique.

Keon sat down outside and started to think about genjutsu. He knew it was a metal attack that subjected the target to view realistic illusions. He knew that the level of the illusion depended on the amount of chakra the user put into the technique. However he stopped at that. He knew a bit about it but it wasn't nearly enough. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 17 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 21 VS 14 Pass]]
Keon sat there thinking harder. He knew he was far from knowing enough to dispel it. He would need to know how it is cast in order to do that. Well it requires chakra so it should need hand seals. But weren't there people who could do it without the seals. This is difficult. Keon thought of how complex genjutsu really was and all the crap he'd have to go through to learn this release technique. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 16 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 20 VS 14 Pass]]
The boy then hit a block. He was too bummed about not knowing how the techniques were cast to go any further. He didn't know which one it was. did they need hand seals or not. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 7 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 11 VS 14 Fail]]
Even if they did need hand seals. How would he know which ones. Keon was beginning to stress over things that didn't matter all that much. All he had to do was move on and come back to this and it would most likely come to him. It usually did. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 2 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 6 VS 14 Fail]]
Then he realized that there were clan based genjutsu that almost disobeyed all the rules of genjutsu and this sent him back further. He had no knowledge on clans. He was a taijutsu and kenjutsu specialist. He had no need for genjutsu or clans.[[Formula: 1d20 ( 4 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 8 VS 14 Fail]]

Keon then remembered a few clans that could yous genjutsu by making eye contact. He couldn't remember the name of those clans. However he did know they were supposed to be famous. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 14 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 18 VS 17 Pass]]
It took him a while but after a few minutes of thinking he remembered their clan's name was Uchiha. He remembered hearing about their kekkie genkai the Sharingan. It was a pretty strong doujutsu and was known to have the ability to trap people in genjutsu just by eye contact. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 15 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 19 VS 17 Pass]]
More knowledge started to flow to him. Genjutsu attacks the senses to cause pain and make it seem more realistic. Although most genjutsu could be revealed by using common sense. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 13 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 17 VS 17 Pass]]
He thought harder as to how one could possibly gain control of something that is controlled by the brain. He allowed that thought to pass through his mind for a while until he remembered the human chakra system. That would make sense but how could they gain control of my own chakra system? [[Formula: 1d20 ( 11 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 15 VS 17 Fail]]
That last question stuck with him. He hadn't the slightest clue as to how they could inject their own will over the chakra system of someone else. It just didn't make sense to be able to do this without physical contact of some sort. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 3 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 7 VS 17 Fail]]

Maybe it was like throwing a stone in a river. It would flow normally on its one but so long as the stone is in the river it would disturb the flow. It was this analogy that allowed his progression in understanding genjutsu. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 14 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 21 VS 17 Pass]]
Next was how to disturb the natural flow in a way that would allow the stone to become useless. If the flow of chakra was changed in a way that ignored the proverbial stone in the stream. However this would not be an easy feat. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 8 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 12 VS 17 Fail]]
Little progress was made on this front. Ideas were produced on the matter, none of which good enough to keep. Some included reversing the flow or changing its direction entirely. neither of these would work since the stone would still be effecting the motion of the water. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 16 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 20 VS 17 Pass]]
It took him a while but he finally realized that slowing the flow to a halt was the best way to perform this. The stone would have no effect on stagnant water. same with chakra. So he hoped. If it were good he'd have figured out the first half of learning this jutsu. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 18 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 22 VS 17 Pass]]
Needless to say life isn't that easy for anyone. Keon soon realized that stopping the flow of his chakra would not only be hard, it would cause more harm than it would help. His body would most likely have a strong negative effect on his body. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 5 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 9 VS 17 Fail]]

Keon simply couldn't pass the thought of getting out of genjutsu without harming himself in some way. The problem lied within the fact that he was escaping to avoid pain and having to cause some to himself would be a lateral move. Not any much better from where he was. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 3 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 7 VS 17 Fail]]
However he soon remembered that the chakra had to go to the brain. For any genjutsu to take effect it had to travel to the brain along the paths of his chakra system. If he were to divert it for some time he could have it bypass his brain and send the chakra out through his hands or feet. [[Formula: 1d20 ( 15 ) + Genjutsu ( 4 ) = 19 VS 17 Pass]]

As Masa came into the academy grounds she amplified her sense of smell with her chakra and followed the scent into the basement, where she saw Shinzu with the scroll. She began to form handsigns and chant beneath her breath. This would be a lot more simple for her if he was distracted. She started by creating five clones. They walked out onto the dojo floor and formed a circle. They appeared to be training to the eyes of others.

((27 Pass)) Tenshi moved on to better things. The meditation was worth it, however he had wanted to continue with his training for the day. Before starting, however, he grabbed his bottle of water and took a sip. He summoned the chakra to his feet and found it rather easy, especially after doing the water-walking training. He knew that there would be an obvious difference when walking up a wall or ceiling. He stuck with the basics for now until he would figure out how it was different.
((22 Pass)) Well... the surface I'll be walking on will not be ever-changing like the water, so I will not need to keep the chakra even with it, I'll just have to make it stick to the wall, but how in the world do I do that?! He thought about it for a minute as he let his chakra manifest into his feet. Maybe sewing the chakra into the surface? No... then I couldn't move it... He thought it was a good idea, and then he thought about an octopus. What if I use it like tentacles and burrow it into the surface and attach it? May as well give it a try...
((30 Pass)) Of course, this part of the training was simply getting the chakra to his feet and nothing more, so he was just hypothesizing. The chakra to his feet was steady and wasn't showing any problems. He was now glad he did water walking first or else he'd be finding himself on his butt right now trying to climb the wall. He wondered if Bumu planned it out this way. He shrugged his shoulders and continued the flow of chakra.
((24 Pass)) He placed a foot on the wall and pictured himself walking up it. Will I feel sick doing this? I mean, my body will be at a different angle than it is used to being. Unless I'm supposed to work of training the rest of my body as well... He looked at the note which said nothing about sickness being a side effect... in fact it didn't say anything about health risks, so Tenshi took her word for it. He looked up the wall and a smile grew on his face. He had to admit, it was going to be fun.
Surface Climbing This training involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet, and using that to climb a surface without using one's hands. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the tree and fall off. If it is too strong, the bark of the tree will break and the user will fall. Requirements: Chakra Control 10 Training: 2 stages Stage I: Chakra control DC: 20, Focusing chakra under the soles of your feet to stick to the surface. 4/10 d20 + Chakra Control (19) = 27,22,30,24 Effect: User can run on walls and ceilings indiscriminately from how he walks on the ground.

((35 Pass)) Tenshi did the same as before and focused the chakra to the soles of his feet. Maybe the chakra would do it automatically without him tie it to the surface. He would have to wait and see and hope for the best. He yawned as he was getting bored doing this exercise again, though he didn't want to skip it and face the wrath of his sensei. Speaking of which... I haven't heard her recently. Did someone kill her? He had highly doubted the fact that a mere student could kill his sensei without having graduated yet. Even after graduating someone couldn't have killed her. Perhaps the students were starting to behave themselves now.
((Nat 20 Pass x2)) The chakra remained in his feet as he walked around looking at the walls that surrounded the academy. The village must have thought the students were in need of this much protection to have placed these walls, plus a moat around the academy. Though they wouldn't be much aid against any invading shinobi, Tenshi would try to defend the village, even though they abandoned the Fubuki clan thus causing the slaughter of many innocent lives. Perhaps the training would prove to be an aid for his quest of clan honor. He looked down at his feet which were now tingling with the chakra flow.
He knew it was close to time to start climbing the wall. He didn't think it would take long for him to get past this part of the technique and he was proven right so far. Though he wanted to get it over with and move on to the next jutsu. Something he could finally use against someone, but with patience comes great reward. Be glad you are so dedicated to this and now learning some techniques that the others won't probably learn for a while.
((37 Pass)) His days at the academy were numbered and his training was showing it. He was flying through it easily and was in need of tougher things. He almost lost concentration and brought his mind back just in time to correct the flow before he lost it. I wonder if this will cause problems on the battlefield? I need to practice multitasking if I am to be a good ninja or else I can't strategize and act at the same time, which is not good.
((22 Pass)) The chakra remained in the soles of his feet, almost instinctively. Only a few more moments and then I'll try walking up a wall... He looked up at it and took a gulp. Falling from that high up was sure to be hurtful. Gotta do what you gotta do... though I hope it doesn't involve broken bones. Panic began to settle inside him and he needed to shake the feeling off. It would only prevent him from performing well and he needed to finish the training. Well... he didn't need to, but he wanted to.

((30 Pass)) Tenshi continued the flow of chakra to his few for a few moments longer before releasing his hold on the chakra. It was now time to walk up the walls and he was about to leap for joy. He had heard of ninja walking on walls and wondered what it was like and now he was going to do it! Sneaking out of the compound would be much easier after knowing this technique. He was surprised he didn't look to learn it sooner. He loosened his body up and took a deep breath. Alright... easy does it...

((11 Fail)) Tenshi walked over to the wall and looked up at it. "Here goes nothing..." He took a run at it and began running up it, summoning the chakra into his feet. Though the chakra wasn't sticking and he felt his feet give way after a second. He landed flat on his back. "Oww....." He pulled himself up and began rubbing his back. "I can already tell this is going to be a pain..." He took a few steps back and decided to take it a little slower.
((17 Pass)) He made sure his chakra was right this time and placed one foot on the wall at first, in order to test his hold. Satisfied he placed the other foot on the wall. Do I just stand, or do I have to balance myself? He stood up, though it felt rather weird knowing the ground was now at his back. There was no vomiting, nor any other sense, though it just didn't seem right to him. He took a few more steps like he was a baby just learning to walk. Ah! This is so freaky!!!
((6 Fail)) He felt the chakra waver for a moment and began panicking. Do I jump?! What do I d-! His chakra slipped from his grasp and he fell on his back once more. He gasped for air as the wind was knocked out of him. "Oh man, this really sucks..." He picked himself up and propped up against the wall. "I'm going to be so glad when this is over..." He wondered if there was any easy way of training this technique. One that didn't involve broken bones or the possibility of death.
((15 Pass)) After a few minutes of catching his breath he stood up and went right back to it. Well if I get over this wall I can use the moat on the other side. It won't hurt as much though I could risk drowning. Thank goodness I can swim... He conjured the chakra into his feet and began his trek up the wall. The feeling was still weird and his steps were small and uncoordinated.

((17 Pass)) He continued his way up and he was soon at the top of the wall. "Sure took me a long time!" He wiped the sweat from his brow, which was more stress than exhaustion. "I thought for sure I was going to fall again. Lemme tell ya... if I get wet..." He said as he made his way over the other side. Since he had water walking done, he could walk to the water, stand down there and then turn around and make his way back up. Seemed like an easy enough plan for him.
((6 Fail)) He started his stroll on the back side of the wall. he got down a good two feet and then his chakra vanished. He plummeted into the cold water of the moat. There was a short scream followed by a large splash. It was dead quiet for a minute until Tenshi managed to get up for breath. He gasped for it. It was definitely better than hitting the ground, but he didn't think it would happen so soon. He had just gotten to the top of the wall! He hit the water, causing it to splash back up in his face. "Stupid water..." he mumbled to himself.
((Nat 20 Pass x2)) He grabbed onto a nearby root that was beginning to find it's way through the wall, and pulled his feet onto the wall. Bringing the chakra to his feet he began his climb back up. Of course it wouldn't go smoothly, why else would it go smoothly? He let out a mental sigh of frustration, not realizing he was already a fourth of the way up to the top. He crossed his arms and began complaining to himself about the cursed wall.
In no time he was half way up and before he noticed where he was he was three-fourths. "Ha! This isn't so bad. It's almost exactly like the water walking technique!" He rubbed his hands together, Bumu-sensei will have to pass me with all my training! How can she say no to a dedicated student? Of course, it was rather boring being by himself so he told himself after graduating he'd work on his people skills.
((Nat 20 Pass x2)) While thinking about his post-graduation life, he had made it to the top. It was almost becoming second nature to him now. He was sure his next trainings would be a lot harder compared to this. He would actually be learning some good jutsu and with that came a lot of training, which meant lots of failure. Of course he would fully rest before moving onto the more advanced stuff. He would make sure of that.
Tenshi then began his descent back towards the water, where it was much safer and not so painful. He would take getting wet over pain any day. So he casually walked over the edge, making sure his feet actually made contact with the wall. In order for him to walk on the wall he would need to touch it, it only made sense. he knew one of these times he would totally miss and there he'd be, falling to the water...
