Sorry...
Was preoccupied with the urge to find a decent religious discussion, but that craving has been un-satisfyingly sated for now... but you were there neutral ... I suppose I'll just go and do some self study on Gilgamesh later, or something... rolleyes
Been setting up the husband's computer with my art stuff, I was going to help Scarlet with a comic for Gaia-zine soon, and I want to be ready to get it in and out. I also want to finish editing and coloring the late Christmas pics I have stacked in my art book for my guild members... If I can get caught up on my art rather quickly, I plan to open an auction for some extra Gaia gold...
OH!...and my uterus has been trying to take me out from the inside ... Homicidal uteruses suck... be glad you do not have one. stressed

gonk I have a swollen lymph node the size of a marble in my neck; I've felt like crap for the past couple of days now. I wish I knew what I was infected with to cause this. In the mean time, I'm having fun poking at it. xp Ow.

hmm... where's Scarlet? o.o is she too busy with the Zine? I was looking forward to RPing in the Gothic Waltz...

The thing about lymph nodes is, they swell when you have an infection from all the bacteria/viruses and white blood cells fighting each other in them. In other-words, they fill up with pus. It takes 1-3 weeks after your infection goes away for them to shrink. Any more and a visit to the doctor is advised; it may be either the infection's taking longer to get rid of than it should, or it's become an abscess, or it's nothing. It could leak bacteria back into the system if it lasts long enough, too. 3nodding Not something one wants to happen, that. I have no idea where she is. I definitely want to continue this story. There's so many questions to be answered. ninja

I get home from youth group tonight and check up on my Facebook.
You know the 21 questions thing? I was bored, so I took a look at it, being amused by random people's responses to those funky questions. One on the questions was: "Do you think *insert my real name here* would look good in a miniskirt?" The answer was: "YES"
My response as I'm sitting at my computer=
WHAT.
Then I burst out laughing. XD Why? I dunno, but I think I was amused by my own reaction. It probably was one of my female classmates being nice, lol.
I don't wear miniskirts. Or anything that's not past fingertip length without having a pair of leggings underneath. lol.
That is my random story-
Oh, haithar. :3 S'been a while. ^w^

We got a dog. neutral
I liked her better before bedtime last night. stare
We are going to have to get a training crate and some doggy sleeping pills... rolleyes Otherwise, no one else in the house is going to get any sleep. I can only pull so many all-nighters before my natural talent for sleeping through anything kicks in. Then it will be every man for himself.

I've been nauseous for a couple of days now and have been on the toilet 3 times today. The swollen lymph node in my neck seems to have expanded, and I have a headache. My sinuses are draining too. In short, I feel like s**t. gonk

hang in there, noble warrior of the peace era! (clearly not the shogun era, what with erry blossoms in the background).
@ Sapph: heh.... I learned that wearing a miniskirt is not nearly as much fun as looking at someone else in one.
@ Elta: this is why I'm a cat person. rolleyes

Cherry blossom viewing spread from the nobles to the samurai over a long stretch of time, but it took off with the commoners right around the time the eighth Tokugawa Shogun took power (1716). He had large amounts of Cherry trees planted all over the place because of this. So to get to my point, This armor and scene could be from anytime between the late Heian Period to the early Meiji Era. That's a 700-year gap.

The "Samurai Yoroi" items are based on the ō-yoroi (great armor) that your stereotypical samurai wore. In reality, it was a rich man's armor. The lower ranking warriors wore less detailed but aesthetically similar armor. Hanami, or flower-viewing, has been popular since 710 AD. Initially the flowers observed were ume, or "plum/apricot blossoms." Sakura caught on in 794.
