Ariel jumps a little and says, "Oh, um.. Well, the great dragon Vokun came to the village, and I'm not entirely sure why... But he was here, and a girl appeared and challenged him to a fight. He actually just flew off with the girl not too long ago."

Javon put his hands on his hips, looking over at the mountains where she had indicated the dragon flew away to, "So...he kidnapped the antagonizer then? Wait. If it was a dragon, did your powers kick in or anything?"

"Not really. I could sense him, and I talked to him, but.... Not for long. The girl came in and began picking a fight with him." she answers, shaking her head. "It was quite rash of her to behave in such a manner..."

"So she just insulted the dragon?" asked Javon with his head tilted to the side. "Well that was really weird... I wonder why she did that."

"She seemed pretty confident that she could beat him.." she says, rubbing her chin. "She was using some weird magic, but it seemed to be taking a very long time."

Strede marveled as the dragon flies away from where he stood. "What majesty," he says to himself as he shapes a small rune in the air in front of him in order to catalog it, "Now the question is what species of dragon are you... Thundermaw? No much to subtle for that... Perhaps a broodmate? No, I would have seen a second if that was the case... Maybe it is a species I have not yet encountered yet." He looks to the wreckage the winged beast had caused. "Perhaps one of the survivors could enlighten me," he says, rubbing his chin. "Yes I think they might," he adds as he makes his way down the grassy knoll on which he stood.

"Maybe.. I haven't a clue what was really going on though. She was quite rude, if you ask me." she says, crossing her arms over her chest. Her small blue dragon creeps out of her cloak, perching on her shoulder, chattering in an annoyed tone. "Hey, that wasn't my fault. I tried to talk them both out of it.."

"Greetings, o denizens of this previously quaint hamlet," Strede called out as he approached them, "I am a travel from a far distant place and could not help but notice your recent..." He paused as he searched for the right word. "Run-in with a might specimen of a dragon," he continued, "Perhaps I might ask you a few questions about it?"

"I see," Strede replied, "I thought you might have learned a few things from your encounter with it?" He paused to adjust the lens of his manascope. "You see I'm a bit of a biologist and creatures such as that one intrigue me so," he added soon after.

"Well, I doubt that Vokun would return for some time..." she says, rubbing her neck. "But...um.. I can try to answer questions? I know a lot about dragons. Not everything, just a lot."

Strede taps a finger to his chin for a moment. "Hmmm... I know a great deal about the general philosology of dragons," he mutters before adding, "Perhaps you might know of some more specialized knowledge of the dragons in this area?"
