Seeing that all the other trainers were getting their stuff packed up and ready to go, Arin hopped back up into the wagon, making sure things were all tied down and ready to go.
"Ready for another day, hmm Hush?"

"Oh, Cass! That's fine- would you like to ride in front today?" She asked, letting go of Mattress' newly improvised reigns (she had been holding onto his horns up until now, but her experience with the race had changed her idea.)
Noticing Alastair moving in to torment the scientists, Lamen felt that something had to be done...
(( Yessu xD; -fees loved now?- 8D ))  "Sure thing." Settling a hand on the tauros' back she swung up, settling herself down lightly and eying the ghastly. Though her discomfort was short lived as Alastair's torture of the scientists became known to her. Couldn't some people just let it go? Sure she'd been pissed at them yesterday...but that was different!

Kira giggled. "No, but he is very fluent in body language." She gave his hand a light squeeze, then climbed up into the wagon. "We can sit together, right?"

Kazuki reached up to scratch the arcanine behind the ears, and the pale pokemon gave a happy bark and wagged his tail. "He was a gift from my parents," the short trainer explained. "They want me to start my own farm and breed arcanines and the like, just like they do. Their way of saying 'follow in our footsteps' I guess. I was going to anyway, but now I guess I don't have much of a choice. Oh well," he shrugged, looking around for his umbreon, but the lithe pokemon was nowhere in sight.
...but that was because he was behind some trees, still gnawing on the box of ham sandwiches. An ear twitched back as Con approached, and his tail swayed a bit as he yanked the lid off. "(Aha! Nope, all set now. Help yourself. Breakfast, courtesy of Kazuki,)" he chuckled as he grabbed one sandwich, munching on it quite happily. Mmm, ham.

Nyght looked over to Carter, not recognizing him, which was odd, but understandable in such a large group. "Thank you!" Nyght smiled at him, not really knowing what else to say, "It seems to make sense, you know, since that's what they usually want for one scheme or another...."

Kader set his attention on Yero, listening to Carter start in on a conversation between a couple of the other wagon inhabitants. He stroked the canine pokemon, offering him another treat. With Carter busy, he shouldn't catch him in the act and make a fuss about it.

 Finding two more pieces of cookie, she munched on them until they were all gone. Then she went back to digging for more cookies. There was only one more big piece of cookie. Giving the Persian a small skritch behind the ears, she offered the final decent sized piece to the pokemon.

Lisa was excited now. She put her book away and adjusted her glasses so that, for a moment, the light of the sun glinted off of them, giving her that "mad scientist" look. "This is it, Midnight. Today we get to go to the mines and teach those Rockets a lesson. Are you ready?" Midnight gave an affirmative "Hound!" as she wagged her tail. They both looked toward the front, ready mentally for anything.

Mis boarded the wagon and awaited the move. She was so impatient, her fist time being awake during a move. It made her shiver and become covered in goosebumps. She was so happy that she was smiling uncontrollably. "...gonna get them.,."

“Not the bad guys? For all we know, one of them could be a Rocket Grunt in disguise, left behind on purpose to mislead us. I say we leave them all behind. We can pick them up on the way back.” Not that the scientists could know everything, even if one of them was a Grunt. That wasn’t how Team Rocket worked. The Grunts rarely---if ever---knew the full plan. Besides, if they knew the full plan, they wouldn’t have been left behind.
Still, arguing with Jen would be fruitless, Alastair knew. Besides, it would sound needlessly cruel to everyone else. With a sigh, he nodded at her words, agreeing not to harm the scientists. Not that this meant he wouldn’t attempt to scare them.
Sauntering on over to the whitecoats, he smiled in a particularly nasty way. “Morning, gents! Sorry about tying you up. We just couldn’t have you wandering about. I really hope that, for your sake, you know something about what’s going on… see, Con here…” he gestured to the pale houndoom at his side. “Has been rather tetchy lately. His best friend was hit by a dart yesterday and is apparently still recovering.” That was a lie; Ryou the umbreon was completely fine, but lying was ok in this situation. “Funny thing about Con. He’s not really -my- houndoom. He just travels with me. Sometimes he listens to what I say, sometimes he doesn’t. And right now, he’s really looking for someone to blame for the attack and has his eyes on you.”
The houndoom growled, a low roll of thunder. It was the type of growl that began in the houndoom’s throat and could easily end up in someone else’s.
Alastair simply gave him a pat on the head. “Anyway… right now, the only thing between you and an angry houndoom is me. So, please, tell me the truth. What do you know about the caverns? Is there anything that we should know? What’s up with these… crystal things?”
Just wonderful. First thing, they were STILL tied up and interrogated again with the threat of a giant white dog ripping them to pieces. One of the scientists absolutely had enough of the treatment he was recieving. "Look kids, we were here to help with a scientific discovery that could tell us about Zatao's past. I'm a specialist in FOSSILS, I don't know anything about the crystal things. IT'S NOT MY FIELD. The caverns? All we had were vague, outdated maps that were in the trailer, so I wouldn't know too much about that. I only knew the fossils were around the middle level and we were getting high readings of psychic energy in the lower levels. We weren't responsible at all for attacking you kids, SO WOULD YOU UNTIE US?"
Grrrrrwwwwwwwwwww....
All three scientists looked down at their stomaches. "...and give us some breakfast?" A second scientist added.

MidnyghtIce Renekai Dreydonna seemed to swell at the praise and floated over to Nyght, giving her a Lick.
"Ah," Renekai said, seeing Dreydonna lick Nyght. "Uumm... I know that Lick is an attack and it really feels unpleasant, but, um, I think that she's trying to be firendly. I'm actually not too sure..." Renekai looked a little worried, hoping that Nyght wouldn't take offense. Dreydonna, meanwhile, simply cackled and settled on top of Nyght's head.
"... But, about Team Rocket... I think those boxes have something to do with it!" Wagon One was roomier without the mysterious black trunks now. "Maybe it's something bigger than better pokemon; maybe it's some power source that will allow them to wreak mayhem!" Maybe Renekai's imagination was getting away with her, but she was really worried about it, though she was sure she could take on any Rocket Grunt with her two pokemon.
"Yeah, the black boxes definitely have something to do with it... Maybe they found a way to raise all the fossils in the mines! That would be a lot of pokemon...
"But can you really do anything to fossils?" Renekai asked skeptically. "I mean... They'd be worth a lot of money, sure, but fossils are, well... Dead. I don't think you can revive dead fossils!" Renekai shrugged. "I mean, even Ghost pokemon aren't actually dead..."

Pippeh smiled as she listened to the trainer talk. "That's really neat. I'd love to have an arcanine of my own someday. Though I'm happy with having Jaidev as well." She gave the cubone a scratch on the back as she spoke. "Are the arcanines at your parents as beautiful as Basil?" she asked. If they had any pretty arcanines she may see about trying to make a trip down to his parents and see if they had an avaliable. She wanted one so badly now.
