Kazan swerved the air, the dark clothing he wore twisted and writhed in the air, like wicked black flames dancing upon charred flesh. With a great bound into the blue sky, he was tossed by the sudden break of the Shunshin no jutsu. He glided for a time over the sea of green tree tops and during that short period of time, he spotted the young ninja. It shocked him to say the least. He accidentally allowed one of the pupils of this village to see his aggressive side. He knew apologies would be in order later but, as of now, his adrenaline was raging so fiercely that he had to stop his pursuit altogether.

He descended throught the dense canopy of the trees, offering no resistance to stop before he was few yards from the ground. As the blades of grass graced the skin of his forehead, he made one hand sign, and within his mind, enacted the Shunshin no jutsu. In a flash, his feet were upon the ground, and his dash towards the position the young ninja was migrating to. As the distance between him and the forest grew, he heard explosions comming from it. He carried onward, with the assumption the young ninja had something to do with it.

Rin made her way to the forest. Hopefully the other two would folloer her lead. She felt strange today... she was usually bubbly and sweet, but right now she felt like brooding. Perhaps it was due to letting out her feelings, or it could be because she had a wierd feling about the boy who was acompanying them... Either way... she didn't like it.

Inoka followed Rin to the forest and soon they got deeper and deeper.

"I wonder if we'll remember the way..." Inoka remarked as they walked. "Just shout out if you think we find a good space."

The surrounding area was lightly covered with vegetation, and they were following a path that was right next to a river. As in, they were walking along the river. The river, along with many other small streams, collected into a small lake in the distance that was surrounded by many trees. There wasn't much space for training, unless you trained on the lake...

Hey, that wasn't such a bad idea.

Gesturing towards the area, Inoka asked, "Have you guys learnt how to walk on water yet?"

Rin looked at the lake and smiled. "Yup, of course... Will that ne our training area? We should also take a swim... there might be something in the lake that's useful... like an underwater cave?" She focused the chakra to her feet and went onto the lake's surface, looking down. "Maybe we can make caves too... or a series of underground tunnels...?"

"Maybe..." Inoka said with a small, sheepish grin. That hadn't been what she was thinking about at all, but it did sound kinda fun. They'd have to get specialist diving equipment first, though, and Inoka voiced that.

"I was thinking more like sparring on the water's surface, to hone our chakra control and taijutsu skills... but it seems like we can do both effortlessly, so it's fine. But how about a spar anyway?" Inoka suggested with a grin. "2 on 1. If you can't walk on water, Kazemaru-san, I promise not to go near it."

Rin smiled eagerly. "I haven't sparred since my academy days! I'm totally in! Now... it it just taijutsu... or can we use eapons and jutsu?" Her smile was effortless as she glided on the water... A lake spar would be a great deal of fun.

| Kazemaru had followed behind them, he wasn't really sure he could do so, so he simply got into his fighting stance. He had spread his legs, and leaned his upper body forward just a bit with his right hand in front and his left closly behind it. He awaited the signal while listening to the conditions of the battle |

Kasaki walked slowly into the small 'clearing,' "Yamanaka, Inoka..." he said quietly, his dark eyes seeking hers out.

"Yeah, like that!-" Inoka had started to say happily, fully getting into the whole taijutsu spar thing, and had gotten into battle position too, or at least started to. That was when Kasaki walked in and Inoka's eyes got very wide. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She thought he was dead and at any rate she hadn't seen him in at least half a decade, or maybe more. And how the heck had he managed to find them in the random forest lake thing anyway? Maybe he was out walking and found them by sheer coincidence. Maybe he lived here now. That would be a little weird.

Inoka dropped out of fighting stance and apologised to Kazemaru and Rin, "Sorry. I know this guy... he's an old friend of mine."

She then moved closer to Kasaki to see if it was really him. But of course she moved warily, her experience over these past 5 years having made her more cautious.

Puberty had indeed been kind to him as it had been to Shiru. Inoka felt a pang in her heart when Shiru's face flitted into her mind, because she had no doubt of his fate. But just when she'd thought that they were all gone, here was Kasaki back from the past.

"Hatsuchi Kasaki?" she asked him.

Kasaki smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes, far too much had happened for that. "I'm glad that you remembered me. The last time we saw each other was when we were very young..." He sighed. "Akki, Cerbi..." His eyes became downcast. "I've visited her grave often, it's hard to believe that she's gone."

Cerbi had been one of the best friends that he could have asked for, even though she was only a few years older than him, she'd become Hokage, and Hokage she died. Yamanaka, Inoka was the second friend he'd made. They'd shared lunches, lunches much like the one he'd brought with him.

The boy walked further into the clearing, as always he wore black, his bow was strapped to his back, and his mother's sword hung from his waist. He set the basket down in the middle. "Um..." his crippling shyness struck him once again. He knew Inoka, but he didn't know the other two. Helplessly he just gestured to the basket. Inside there were pork buns and rice cakes, all made in his own kitchen.

Rin watched as a new person came out from the brush into the clearing. Since Inoka knew him, she figured it was safe and she walked across the water's surface towards them. Getting back into her bubbly mood she thought she'd lost over the past two years, she skipped to them and bowed. "My name is Areno, Rin. It's a plasure to meet a friend."

Kasaki's eyes went wide and he flushed nervously. "H-hatsuchi... Kasaki." He bowed deeply. "Um... please..." he gestured to the basket of food again. "... A-any... friend of Inoka's... is welcome to the food." He unconsciously took a step back away from the girl. She seemed nice enough, but he wasn't quite used to that.

Rin smiled brightly, he seemed to be the shy type. "Pleasure to meet you Hatsuchi Kasaki" She eyed the food quickly. It was a hsame she'd already eaten her fill, and then was given money for more food. Now there was, again, another free meal. Well might as well... to be poluite atleast. She knelt down by the basket and plucke dup a pork bun. It was pretty tastey, she could tell it was home made. 'Did you make these yourself, Kasaki-kun?"
PostPosted: Sun Feb 24, 2008 12:19 am

"Yes..." Kasaki replied, sitting down in the seiza position across from the girl. (Legs tucked down under the body) "I have no more food in my house... I must go purchase more materials." The one thing he could talk about forever: cooking. He learned from his mother before she died.

He was able to sit there and talk to her a little bit, but soon he began to feel very uncomfortable with how close she was and had to stand up again, muttering a short, "Please forgive my rudeness," before moving to stand closer to Inoka.

Rin smiled with a shrug and a nod. "I understand. I'm just a stranger to you... It's been a long time since I've been around people I could trust, besides my family. I'm a little excited..."
