Head slightly to the side, Kalore watched as Monty walked away and sighed, nodding to Gambler as he sat down in what was the demon's seat. He nodded to Eldin and smiled slightly at Gambler, eating some of his fruit. Eldin watched this with concern in his eyes. He couldn't stand Kalore, but he didn't like to see him like this without knowing what caused it.

Gambler lay down her fork and scooted over to give Kalore a real hug. Not a half hug or a half hearted or even a pity hug. It was a real hug that spoke volumes of care, even though they hardly knew each other. Then she kissed his cheek and went back to her food. "Cheer up. Things will fall into place in your favor if your patient and understanding." She said and stuffed her face with food. "So, what's up? Talk to me and do some sign language something because Monty isn't the greatest person to talk with."

Kalore blinked and smiled slightly, hugging him back. The man started mouthing out things, but had to stop, figuring that not everyone was as good as Monty with reading lips. Sighing, he shrugged and mouthed out, "He's not bad." Eldin slowly ate his food, watching this. Looking around, he went in search for a notebook, but the only other one was in the living room. "Um, there's a notebook in the living room." He would get it, but Monty was in there...

Gambler nodded and frowned. "Sheesh Kalore, I can read your mouth. I had to read Monty's mouth when he's talking in his language in silence. That's freaking hard." She looked at Eldin. "Your not afraid of Monty right?" She asked and jumped over the table to go to the living room. "I'll get it Eldin. You go rest. Sheesh, if you break on me, Rave is going to break me too." She grumbled not wanting that.
Gambler walked into the living room, tip toeing and went to find the notebook. It was near Monty. The demon looked up at her and raised a brow. She ran into the kitchen and hid behind Eldin. "Go kill him with the crutches and I'll grab you and the notebook, making a run for it okay?" Monty growled and curse and picked up the book, marching off and handing it over to Gambler. She scowled and took it. The demon scowled and turned away with a arrogant attitude back to his seat. "Someone is touchie. Sorry Eldin. Maybe we could play that when Rave comes back." She smirked. He would be so livid about that.

Eldin’s eyes were the size of saucers as he shook his head, “U-Um…I think I’ll pass on that, Miss Gambler…” Kalore watched this with a chuckle, shaking his head. As he took up the notebook, he wrote, “What? Afraid of a little demon? And here I thought you were getting brave…” Eldin scowled at him but didn’t take the bait, instead just turning his head to pout cutely. “Shut up.”

Gambler chuckled and melted at the sight of the cute pout, hugging Eldin tightly and protectively against her. "Don't tease him. I'm afraid of that little demon too." The boss pouted just as cutely as Eldin.
Monty heard that and snorted, grumbling about silly heathens and elves and their wild imaginations. Gambler shot him a severe look. "I happen to like these elves since they are the only one's I've ever met and it's because of my imagination that has got you a pretty nice living and out of the authority of insane angels who wish for your head as much as you wish for mines." She growled, letting Eldin go. "So stop this nonesense and put yourself together. I don't want you to snap and growl and bite or anything animalistic at one in this tower. Understand?"
Monty growled at his boss. "Why so you can do it?" "I am the boss, damnit and I have my rights to do all those animalistic sounds and actions because I am a damn animal, in case you forgot." Monty allowed himself to smirk, that 'I'm too sexy to argue' kind of smirk. "I remember as clear as the sky, Gambler. So firece and wild. A pity I never got a chance to hunt you down like I did to the others." Gambler narrowed her gaze. "Oooooooo, you want to open old wounds? I should warn you, then tend to heal quicker than new ones. You might want to rethink that buddy." "Why? I still would want to hunt you down." He tilted his head to the side, giving her a sadistic smile. "Let's play tag Gambler. I'm it."
Gambler laughed. "Sure, sure. It has to be when Rave and Kyin come back. I at least want to kiss Rave before I go to jail for killing a prince of hell in a game of tag." Monty rolled his eyes, looking at his weapon that was put together and unloaded. He pointed it at her. Gambler smiled sweetly at Monty. "Aim for the heart demon and pray that it kills me because if not, you will see true hell at it's finest." She looked at the elves with a apologetic smile. "Sorry. Don't mind us. This happens all the time." Sadly, it did.

Eldin shook his head, not minding at all, but Kalore scowled and shook his head. Looking at both Gambler and Monty he mouthed out, "Stop it. Act like this when you're not in some important dude's house..." As if on queue, his phone rang with the caller id of it saying Grandbastard. He looked away, a small smirk on his face as Eldin took it. Making sure that it was okay with Kalore, he answered it, "Yes sir?" Kalore's ears twitched as he heard part of the conversation, nodding his head in approval. Eldin nodded and hung up, a grin on his face. "Sir Rave and Lord Kyin are okay. They said that they won't go into detail, but Prince Lucien is dead."

Monty scowled and Gambler pouted, looking down as if she was a naughty child who got in trouble. She held her arms behind her back, looking to cute to refuse. "I'm sorry Kalore. He started it." She said pointing at Monty. Then the news that Lucien was dead made Gambler smile. "Good. Now this fool won't cause no more trouble for anyone. Hey Monty? Think you could add a few more punishments for him in hell?"
Monty's scowl darkened and he stood up. Walking over to the kitchen, he got a glass of water and drank it. "No. Now that the fool is dead, I'm going back to the city. I don't want anyone to bother me until you really do need me." He growled and washed the glass, putting it away. He didn't glance at the elves being his usual cold and aloof self in front of everyone. "Don't ask me to do something as mundane as babysitting elves." He said with ice in his tone and walked out of the tower before anyone got a chance to speak. Gambler shook her head. "What am I going to do with that demon?" She asked outloud to no one in particular.

Opening his mouth, Kalore tried to say something but couldn't. Sighing, he just shook his head and stood up. Kissing the top of Gambler's head, Kalore nodded to her in a silent goodbye and walked back to his room on the upper floor. Eldin watched this with a blink, now knowing for a fact that something was wrong. Brows furrowing, Eldin shook his head, muttering, "Something is seriously wrong..."

Gambler nodded, her shoulders sagged and she went to sit in the spot Kalore was in. "Yeah and there is not a damn thing that could be done about it." She said sadly. "I just pray that Kalore get's his voice back. I think that would cheer him up." 'And maybe if Monty and him resolved whatever it is that seemed to have fallen apart, then maybe Kalore would smile again.' She finished in her mind. "As for the demon....I'm going to going to give him some serious pain for not wanting to babysit elves. I think that's the greatest job here, especially since you guys are the cutest." She said with a small smile.

A smile was on Eldin's features as he grinned at her, "Well, I'm glad that you seem to like this job, Miss Gambler." His ears twitched and he looked up as Lord Kyin and Rave walked in, neither one in good spirits. Kyin nodded and Rave went to Gambler, hugging her, "Can we talk?" He needed to get out of this area, now. Kyin on the other hand looked at Eldin, "Come with me." Eldin blinked and nodded, following Kyin as he opened the kid's door and walked in. He didn't waste any time questioning the elf.
Kalore was leaning against his window frame, sad once again. Why does it matter? Sighing, he slid to the floor, trying to make sense of all that had happened recently. He didn't understand why this had all been happening to him, but Kalore did know that he needed to get back to being normal. There was no need for him to be all depressed. That would just make things worse.

Monty went back to Joker's house and marched around back to his shed. He would make use of himself and of the time to rebuild it and to make it better but he stopped, looking at the mound of dirty. It was as if someone punched him in his gut with the reminder that Raid was truely dead and gone. His best friend that had his back no matter what and who would be there with him to cause trouble. Walking closer he knelt, bowing his head to make his peace. Joker wasn't home so that saved him sympathy from the insane man. Everything was messing up. It was his fault for allowing himself to get close to someone. Growling, the demon stood up and went to work on rebuilding. That would keep his mind occupied for a long time.
Gambler grinned but it dropped as Kyin and Rave entered, none too happy. She returned Rave's hug and looked at him. "Let's go to my place. It's quiet and no one is there." She said, grabbing his hand and holding it securely in her's.

Rave nodded, glad that she had given that option. His eyes were glassy, what had happened in the catacombs really hurting him, but the man was glad that it was just over. Hopefully. Sighing, he walked with her, holding her close. He hoped that he wasn't being too much of a burden to Gambler, though.
In the room, Kyin had his arms crossed. "You killed Marn." Sighing, Eldin stood up as straight as he could, nodding. "Yes, my lord." "Why?" "She was about to do something that couldn't be done." "Explain." There was no jokes, no beating around the bush with this. He sighed and explained that Marn was the one that resurrected Lucien. Eldin took the credit because she had made it to where Lucien thought that they were on the same side. Eldin wasn't the bad guy, but he did admit to making a deal with Lucien to where Kalore would die.
Kyin looked at the boy with a sad look, "I don't know the history of you and my grandson... But I know that you are one of the more trusted people of our kind. This is... I don't understand, Young One." Eldin sighed and knelt down at Kyin's feet, "I'm sorry, my lord. What I did was wrong. I will do all I can to fix it. I will not apologize for my reasons though." Kyin sighed and nodded, patting his head. "I understand."

Gambler held Rave close, sighing in relief that he was back and safe. "Are you hungry? Or thirsty? I can make you something when we get to my place." She offered, looking up at him with concern. "You need anything?" She asked, wanting to make sure that Rave was well cared for, though maybe she was being too much of a clingy female. He might not like that.

Shaking his head, Rave was glad when they got to her place safely. "I don't need anything, Gambler. Thank you." All he needed was just to be around her to know that she was safe. Something was off. Lucien had really set the man off, Eldin's possible treachery added to it, and something was wrong with his best friend. Things weren't going good for the normally calm and collected man.
