The last song until the next band, hn... Shinratsu supposed he should've been grateful throughout this band, his gate had been relatively peaceful. Two people: a forgery case and someone trying to sneak by without a wristband...but other than that, no drastic cases. Shinratsu, leaning against the wall, took to the remainder of his line... It was becoming rather mechanical now: check tickets, make sure it was authentic, give them a wristband, scurry them through...
Band: Coheed and Cambria DC: 1d20(11)+1=12 Key: 23-25 three rush the floor. 21-22 two people rush the floor. 19-20 somebody rushes the floor. 15-18 somebody tries to use a fake ticket to get on to the floor, or a wrist band you deiced...they will be trying to argue. 8-14 several people come down the stairs with ticket and you must give each wrist bands. 1-7 nothing happens...EXCEPT THE METALLLLLLLL!!!

Over, was it now? That band's turn... So that means there would be another intermission until the next band. There was a few more people who looked to his direction, as if hoping he would let them in rather than closing off his gate for now but...Shinratsu ignored them. Actually, to be truthful, he was keeping an eye on the gate to make sure nobody tried sneaking past him but as of now...in this brief moment of peace, he wanted to finish reading his newspaper.

He didn't know why...but there was something bothering him about this year's Chuunin Exams. Shin couldn't really name it...a premonition? Of a sort... But this year's candidates were supposed to be highly skilled... Surely, it wouldn't be... Fool. He scolded himself. The Chuunin Exams are supposed to be dangerous. One participate knowing one may very well lose their life...or their shinobi career forever. But it wasn't the elimination rounds that roused unsettling feelings...

What if...? Nah. The mere contemplation of such an idea was ludicrous, so Shinratsu shook the thought aside. Besides, what could these mere civilians do without shinobi to aid them... Be it assassination, to reconnaissance missions, to running minor errands...shinobi practically run this world. Though, it was a bit nagging, the more he thought about it. The number of civilians surely outnumber that of shinobi... Surely...the possibility was there. And it wasn't just Wave Country too, there had been rebellions in the Grass and Tea Country recently too... Perhaps he was overthinking this too much. People will always fight, as long as they exist...

A white tiger bounded swiftly through the streets, braking before Nikolai. Yuumei's animal companion...he had no trouble weaving through the crowded streets. The crowd parted before him, like the tide at the sea...no one wanted to mess with a giant white tiger with razor sharp teeth anyways. Kuroshiro, blinking startling blue eyes, watched the unconscious boy in Nikolai's arms, and sighed...but in relief.
"Thank goodness she's distracted right now..." It was pretty clear who Kuro was referring to: Yuumei was currently eating dinner with Kiyoshi. If she had noticed Akeru had gone missing from his room, she would've gone ballistic... And not to mention, since Kuro was supposed to be watching the doors of the hospital...he had been tracking Akeru too, but from a different angle, watching in wait to make sure the boy was all right...
Approaching closer, the white tiger fondly licked the boy's cheek, before nuzzling the child's face. "It's ok, kid..."
Startled, the boy's eyes flew open, still obsidian but tinged with hints of blue now, under the light of the stars and moon. His whole thin frame tensed, but relaxed...upon noticing it wasn't a hostile but even somewhat familiar presence. "Soft..." He smiled, reaching out a hand to pet Kuro. "Like a pillow..."
The tiger froze. Those words... Even though now it was but a weak murmur, just like the first time Akeru met him...and had made the same 'pillow' comment. Less wild, with less energy...as the young Uchiha had promptly latched himself to the tiger the first time around and snuggled at the thick fur around Kuro's neck and refused to let go...until Kuro threatened if he didn't, he would eat him...
But... Heh. He too couldn't decide...whether it was better for Akeru to stay memory-less or not...if he does not, this child would not live burdened by the knowledge of the very lineage that runs through his veins... He could live peacefully, at his own pace...as that child had wished so dearly...
Then...then...why did the smiling face back then, knowing of all his struggles and joys...fully aware...why was that...more true, more genuine... When now...it seemed that the boy was merely a shell, a shadow, of his former self...?

Nikolai was careful not to stab Kuro, shifting Akeru so that the tiger could touch the child without getting stabbed on his own armor. "Would you like to carry him? You would probably be better than me to get him back. I can get to the hospital from a different route. We can cover both our backs." Nikolai offered the boy to the tiger, offering to place the boy on his back. Nikolai wasn't going to make it through this crowd with a child in his arms, he was just too conspicuous and too overly cautious. It wasn't going to go quickly... But if the tiger took the boy, he could take to the roofs and not have to worry about losing control while holding the boy. One p***k....

Shadow growled in his hiding place, he recognized the actions of the man, after all, he was a fellow fire user. He knew he was preparing for some attack, however Shadow couldn't guess what. He was less worried about the power, and more about some of the details of the mission. He had to keep him from making to many more fires. He grabbed a near by rock and held it in his hand, letting out a small sigh. He knew that if he went for another slash that the man would likely prematurely fire. The problem with that would be he would hit a ground level apartment. The best way to minimize the damage would be if he fired upwards. After all, fire rose upward quicker then spreading downward. If he could make the man only hit a higher area of the nearby buildings, then the local authorities could contain the fire easily and shadow could continue this fight. He slowly leaned out a little ways and tossed the rock at a building opposite of them. He was hoping that the man would hear the rock, think it was Shadow, and then fire a blast at the upper levels, as opposed to the lower levels where the damage would be much more out of hand. This was a feint attempt pretty much.
((alright I'm going to guess this qualifies as a bluff check since it's trying to trick him into thinking i'm somewhere else making him prematurely fire. If we can agree bluff would be the appropriate roll then Bluff: +10))

((I could get a 20! . . . sigh . . . Nope, wouldnt have guessed.))
The man heard the slightest noise, turned and exhaled, unleashing a massive amount of fire, which grinned with a reptillian face. The fire careened into a building, catching some of it. Well at least it wasn't for nothing. But there was a big enough concern hiding somewhere which kept him from relishing in his work just yet. He was breathing heavily, as it wasn't easy to contain fire in one's self for that long. Smoke flared from his nostrils from a mixture of fire forming and a cartoon reminiscent anger indication. He was too weary to ready another flame bullet so soon, and even if he wasn't the punk would probably do that again. He wanted to release a torrent of fire in a circle just to get the brat, but his options were severely limited. . .

night326 Keiko shook her head has she realized that Artemis was back. She smiled, still half out of it and she took the pills out of her tiny hand, she knew what both of them did. Being disowned from a medical clan, she knew everything about pills and anatomy. She keeled down, not knowing if she would get up, "Ah, thank you Artemis-chan, you are so kind." She manged to get up, she slipped both of the pills inside her pocket, she didn't want to take them, too many memories. Plus because of her size it was like taking two pills at once, even if she was carrying one more, she sighed, then the radio. She looked back down at Artemis, it was Gig, "Ah, I'm good, it's really quiet over here...just chilling...hurting...tried. Same old story. Artemis showed back up too. How is everything over there?" Giglamesh would watch as a huge scarlet stage drape would begin to lower covering the stage and they finished taking down coheed's set, and were reading slipknot's. As the scarlet curtain came down the crowd began to roar and cheer, as if they were already on stage. Giglamesh would take the mic and speak very clearly in to it. "Its fine over here...babe?....if your not feeling well this would be the best time to back out....this crowd...there about to become much more aggressive once the last band comes out...so if you dont feel up to it...please withdraw now because if you dont i cant guarantee that it wont be very unpleasant because its going to get loud...very very loud so if your not up to it now would be the best time to back out." He knew what this crowd was going to do when the main band came out...it was obvious as one person that just came threw gigs gate flashed his wristband and yelled "******** coheed im here for slipknot!!!"....it was about to get nice and heavy. intermission #2

Shadow grinned and took his opportunity. He rushed out from behind cover yet again, the man had turned his back for a moment which Shadow exploited completely. He ran past the man, and if anyone was watching it would seem that was all he did. However if someone with a trained eye was watching, they would have seen Shadow's blade swipe across the mans spine. However that swipe only lasted a moment, and then he was dashing behind some nearby trashcans, once again hoping to gain concealment so he would be able to strike a moment later. He wondered about what drove this man, what made him do the things he did. It was true that fire was a beatuiful thing, however even with the beauty of fire... Well, it was no excuse to light people with beauty!

The bone ninja-to made it's delicate kiss across the mans spinal collum. It was an artuful blow that would hoefully make more of a mark then his previous blow, after all Shadow was not interested in pressing his luck with this pyromaniac. Unfortunately the delicate kiss wasn't as deep as he had hoped... In fact it was pretty much nothing more than a caress...

"That's fine. Thank you." At 7'6'', Kuroshiro stood taller than Nikolai, so he propped himself on the ground so that Nikolai would be able to help Akeru climb on. Kuroshiro spoke again, rather concerned, to Akeru: "Hey kid, you do have enough energy to hold on, right?" The last thing the tiger needed was to walk through the village and get back to the hospital, only to discover the kid was no longer on his back...boy, oh boy. Yuumei would give him a earful if that happens. Speaking of which, by now, she probably should've realized her charge was missing...which means he was getting a earful anyways. The great cat sighed.
The boy wrapped his arms around the tiger's neck. "I'm sorry...for causing so much trouble..." He whispered, softly, into Kuro's ear.
"..." A brief silence. How demure, the child's words...but then again, Akeru was always like that... "It's not your fault. Just worry about getting your strength back, kid."

Nikolai nodded and set the child on the cat's back, pushing a small, non-thorned (and so non-drinking) vine from his finger and pulling it out so that he could tie it slightly around the boy's wrist, flicking two burr-like spikes off his armor and using them to secure the boy's wrist loosely to the tiger's back. He did the same with the boy's other wrist. He wasn't going any where. Those burrs were as good as glue when stuck together, and they were around the tigers fur. Of course, for a Takani it was no trouble at all to separate them when the time came. "He'll be fine. And I'll talk to our Mistresses. I'll tell them it was in the interest of safety to remove him from the building if they decide to push the issue." It wasn't a lie. It was in the interest of safety that Nikolai remove the boy from the Forge. It was a building. And he was used to being punished by anyone who cared to. Nikolai bowed to the tiger and leaped to the roofs, running towards the hospital at full speed.((Exit to the hospital))

"Ah...he's...amazing..." The boy whispered, with great admiration.
Kuroshiro seemed amused. He got up, towering over the rest of the crowd as he stood, and headed to the hospital in a normal speed walk. "Of course. He's a shinobi."
"Shinobi? What's that?"
At this question, Kuroshiro skidded to a halt. You got to be kidding... "Kid...you ARE one...you are even in a shinobi village right now..."
"So all shinobi can do the vine thing? Why can't I?" The boy's wide eyes were lit gently crimson as he laid his head against Kuro's neck.
"Hm...no, not quite. You can do something different though."
The child's tone was curious. "Different? Like what?"
"Well, for one, you'll be able to breathe fire..."
"But I can't breathe fire...so I'm not a shinobi."
"I didn't finish yet! I meant someday. Well, at least I think so..." Come to think, Kuro couldn't remember any Uchiha who didn't have an affintiy for fire...
"I don't get it." Complained the boy. "But fire and plants have nothing to do with each other..."
"Of course they don't! Shinobi can also control water, and walk on trees and water too..."
"On water? Wow! What else can they do?"
"Well, you see..."
And so, Kuroshiro didn't know what happened but...he ended up explaining to Akeru basic shinobi characteristics on their way back to the hospital.
...
Screw this. Somehow, help the kid get his damned memory back... Because if the child didn't...

"Psh...I've made it through so many mission! This is a piece of cake!" Keiko smiled an laughed to herself.
Not when you where pregnant...
She looked down and took out the two little pills, she sighed. She looked around to all of the people, they started to get restless, then she looked back down at the pills.
She snapped both of the pills in half and popped them into her mouth and dry swallowed them.
Ew...so many memories from these disgusting little pills. They make me want to throw up. Last time I ever take these, last time.
"I'll be fine Giglamesh, there is a very small crowd off people. Plus, it can't be louder than you when we are alone." Keiko laughed, how she loved embarrassing Gig in the most random times.
