It's why I don't like to MSN voicechat when my family is around, because I'd get the weirdest looks. xd Although, my mask is slowly becoming my own face. Not sure if that's good or bad. xd For me, it was a very good thing. Before I started gaia (when I was, like, fifteen?) I was the shyest, most self-confidence-lacking kid you could find. After a few months of chatting anonymously, making friends, and just being able to be in an environment where I could say the kinds of I wanted to without fear of consequences, I started to be more social in real life too. After a year or two, the real me changed more or less into the gaia me. I don't think anything bad has come from it. I have way more friends than I did before, I respect myself more, and I have awesome wavy hair.  My psychiatrist used to have a saying: "Fake it till you make it." Basically, you become what you pretend to be. Kind of like when a cop is undercover in a cocaine crime ring and eventually turns into a drug lord himself. You reprogram yourself to be what you try to live as, I guess.
 Nah, the thing was that on Gaia I didn't care what people thought as much. If I hadn't gotten the positive kinds of comments I did get from time to time, I probably would've just become another anon-a*****e. Luckily, I managed to chat with people that were fairly friendly. Basically, the part that changed most of all was that I was able to go outside and do the crazy kinds of fun things I usually only did when no one was around. I was the same way. Except for me it was a combination of this, and that my school is the most creative and free place in the nation. xd Seriously, I could walk in wearing a dress tomorrow and nobody would bat an eyelash. xd Speaking of school, I should probably get to bed if I want to function at all tomorrow. G'night, all! Kids in my high school probably would've beaten me up for wearing a dress, but they'd just stare at me here in university. Night Cookie.
