Michael couldn't help but stare at the girl's white hair again. Despite her ideas on how he knew her, it just didn't seem to click for him. It was a gamble, but he had to figure it out. He didn't reaelly wish to reveal his secret to some random girl he had just met, but it was bothering him way too much.

"Can you understand me, my dear? This is the only other way I can think that I recognize you from. If you can understand me, you must swear not to tell anyone about this. It's a complicated story I'd rather not talk about, but yes, I have the blood of a dragon and blah blah blah." He said softly in Draconic, to any passerby, it would sound like hissing and other lizardy noises.

Caroline stared at Michael for a moment, and tilted her head. she replied in Draconic.

The fact that he was half dragon didn't faze her in the slightest - after all, she was half dragon as well. But now she knew, that faint magic she could sense him, that she was right - it was dragon magic. She leaned in close to Michael so she could whisper in his ear.

Michael blinked, then started laughing. Tears began rolling down his face at her reaction. After a moment to wipe away the tears, he looked at Caroline and gave her a big smile.

He blushed slightly at having Caroline so close to him. Not out of embarrassment (although he was a little embarrassed), but he wasn't really used to having people whispering in his ear. It was another family trait that he wish he didn't have, but he was glad that this trait was from his mother and not his father. That annoying manwhore.

Caroline scoffed, and then began to giggle lightly as well. How good it felt to smile, after the lousy day she had been having! She sat back and shook her head.

She smiled fondly, recalling the aghast expressions of her teacher and classmates as she came sliding into the etiquette class.

"Here," she said, switching out of Draconic. "I want you to see my family." She stood up for a moment, and lifted up her skirt - under it, she was wearing jean shorts. She took out her wallet and let her skirt fall back down over her shorts as she sat back down.

It was one of those wallets with the fold-out photo sleeves. Caroline pulled out a small photo taken last spring, no larger than a library card, and gave it to Michael to see. In front, since she was the shortest and youngest at 14, was Caroline, her hair a little longer and pulled back with a black headband. she was flanked by twin males, her brothers - Evander and Cyrus, identical only in the face, as they were wearing vastly different clothes, and one had his hair grown out and pulled back into a ponytail, and the other obviously spent some amount of care on a decent haircut. Both of them had only partially white hair, for the most part they had brown hair like their father. Behind them was her third brother, the eldest, Ialo, not smiling, but not really scowling either, looking mostly indifferent, perhaps even resigned to be associated with these morons he was sharing the frame with. Like Caroline, he had completely pure white hair. In the very background, ignoring the camera completely, were Caroline's parents, a gentle man with brown, now graying, hair, wearing glasses, and a white haired woman sneaking a small kiss.

Michael blinked, his teenage boy mind immediately going to the gutter. His face turned an immediate shade of red, but after Caroline revealed the wallet with the family photo, he let out a sigh of relief and stared at the picture.

He could definitely see the family resemblence between Caroline and her brother, but her gaze shifted towards the backround of the picture and the two people kissing in the backround. He pointed at the picture, looking at Caroline curiously.

He reached into his own pocket and pulled out his black leather wallet. After rummaging within, he pulled out the picture and handed it to Caroline.

The picture was card sized and was of a woman and child, the woman's arms draped over the young boy's shoulder and her head resting atop of his. Her dark brown hair dropped long past her shoulders, nearly covering the young boy. Her eyes were a light blue, clashing with the young boy's, which were gold and slitted. In the far backround, a man stood watching the two, his face hidden under his fedora. A faint gold glow could be seen where his eyes would be.

He smiled, remembering those days that had long since passed. His smile immediately faltered, as the thought of his father crossed his mind.

Meanwhile, outside of the bubble...

A man in a pinstripe suit had approached the school, his golden eyes gleaming. He grinned, revealing a row of razor sharp teeth. He pressed his hand on the barrier, waiting for some sort of response.

Whoever is maintaining the barrier, please allow me access. I'm here to see my son...

{{Okay, Secret hasn't posted in here in like forever, so I hope she won't mind, but I'm going to go ahead and say the headmistress would allow a parent access as long as they didn't have an evil or dark presence around them. I'd normally say wait for Secret, but like I said, she hasn't been on in here in awhile and I'd hate to make you wait.}}

((Ehem, would it be quite all right if I had my new character enter across the barrier, or does he need to have already been on school grounds? I will fill this post with a character post when my query's been answered I'll leave this here for the sake of preventing confusion.))

{{Alb, if there's any way your character could already be inside the barrier, that would be the best scenario. I don't want to let in too many characters while Secret is away.

However, if there's absolutely no way your character can be inside the barrier already... then I guess you can have them enter, AS LONG as they are not evil or have a dark presence around them, and there has to be a very good reason for them to enter, like visiting family or to teach.}}

{{Tsubasa, have you tried PMing the RPer to ask if they're going to respond in the story? That would be my first recommendation. If you don't hear from them for awhile, then go ahead and move your characters forward without that person. Just make sure you've tried to contact them and give them a proper amount of time to respond. biggrin }}

((All of my character profiles have been updated thoroughly, even pictures, so to fully understand these redone characters, please glance over their profiles. All on page 2 ))

When you imagine sheer bravery, I'm sure you picture something heroic performed by a highly revered figure. Something courageous, perhaps foolish, that pushes past ones own fear to help another. Did I describe what you imagined?

Well, then what I'm about to describe is not bravery, but it is a highly revered figure by his people. In fact, by anyone else it would be called cowardice, but it's a good thing he doesn't notice what everyone else thinks or he might be a little concerned. To him, Prince Lucas Quicksilver, it was intelligence and an instinct of survival. So let's not burst his bubble.

At the time when the barrier around the school was erected, the young Prince had hid himself in the confines of his favorite place, the library of course, where his room also lay within the school. Not caring that the librarian probably minded his presence, he kept himself in his room reading, surviving on his food supply he had packed in there on his journey to Bai Ching. He didn't eat most of it, since some of the nights on they way up here were the full moon, and well, the rest of that story doesn't really need to be told.

So he had a couple days rations, not eating very much being distracted by the amazing tales he'd been reading in the books. Mostly fiction, though he did look at a few textbooks on things he didn't know so he could be better prepared to help the students out at the school. Like all things though, it had to end. His rations were getting low, and his eyes were becoming unused to bright lights like the sun. He figured surely all that mess had to be over with by then, he hadn't heard any odd noises for about a day.

Lucas left the safety of his room and headed out of the library into the main part of the school. He had made sure to keep his legs strong by pacing around the library often. Walking wasn't a problem, but his memory was a little hazy. Having only been at the school for about a week prior to the whole barrier episode, his knowledge of the layout of the school wasn't the best. And only looking at the library for, well however many days he was there, didn't help matters much.

Since he wasn't hungry, Lucas would be happy just to find a doorway to the outside. Or what little bit of it he could have with the thing up and all. After finally finding a door, Luke darted out of it and inhaled the scent of the outside. Despite being a bit of a nerd, Luke still did love the outside, he couldn't change that animalistic nature about himself, despite how much he hated being an animal.

Considering it had been ages since he'd shifted, and his wolf body was just itching to enjoy the outside, Luke let himself be overcome by his wolf side and completely shifted into his wolf form. He stretched out his body, with a couple of pops and cracks, and inhaled once more. His senses were so much more vivid with a canine nose. It was not the proper time of day to be shifting, so he wouldn't last too long in this form before needing to change back. Taking off at a brisk pace, Lucas wondered through the forest hunting for something curious to stumble upon.

In the distance he heard the light ploosh of water, and smelt the moisture in the air. Assuming it was the large body of water he saw when he arrived here, Luke decided to explore the lake and see what types of creatures lived there. Jogging at a quicker speed, Luke arrived at the edge of the wood that surrounded the lake. As soon as he did though, he saw three girls, whom he assumed students, were there as well. Taking care to stay off to the side of them as best he could, Lucas approached the lake and took a drink. Water wasn't something he had much of in his food storage, and nothing tasted better to a wolf than water that came directly from Mother Nature herself. A tiny glint of sun was peeking through the clouds, and Lucas took the opportunity to loll about on the lake side in the warm light, rolling in the soft cushiony grass around it. It was times like these that being an animal really wasn't all that bad.

{{Nice reference to the first part of the story, Woonren! I'm impressed that you remembered the white chocolate thing. biggrin }}

Ever listened to Doom's explanation carefully and nodded at certain points. Their mother was a catwoman? Ever had never heard of such a creature, but it was actually quite fascinating to hear of it and to know that a human would breed with one. Apparently, though, the mother hadn't looked as much like a cat as Doom and Love did. So maybe that made things easier? She had no idea. She also thought that since Doom took more after her father, that was why she appeared more human than Love did, even though she could now see that they appeared to be physically identical.

She was about to ask Doom more questions, but then Love mentioned something about smelling white chocolate nearby. Instantly, Ever's face dropped and her eyes grew sad. Ares gave her white chocolate, the best white chocolate there was. It came from Mt. Olympus if she remembered correctly.

A soft sound caught Ever's attention and she looked up to find the source of it. She saw a wolf near the lake rolling around on the grass. Even though she felt sad, she couldn't help but smile and then laugh softly at the sight. It looked so happy and playful! It was actually quite adorable.

What a range of emotions she had just experienced.

"What a day..."

((I have no good excuses for not coming on more often, but here, I'm going to make it up to you: if you ever need me to post, but I seem to be too busy, just ask Eylios for my cell phone number and you can text or call me. I may not respond immediately, but don't worry, and I will get around to posting ASAP. Just reference this post when you ask her, because otherwise she'll probably not tell you my number. I'm usually obsessively private and paranoid.))

Arielle pursed her lips--she had just gone for a morning walk around the castle halls, as was her custom in normal timce, and now someone was asking to come in. She continued walking, but appeared a few yards away from the place where she felt the disturbance and looked directly at the man in the pinstripe suit who had somehow managed to find her barrier without walking into it first. He must have a very apt taste for magic, though she found this unusual, considering that most of the young boys who appeared at her school were either human or had not inherited much magical skill.

Looking at him in full Headmistress regalia*, Arielle spoke. "I am the Headmistress of Bai Ching, Arielle Krause. Who are you and who is your son?"

Raigin climbed from the pool lazily walking away from the pool. "Man what a dull day to have the day off." he whined lazily. He didnt have anything to do. He supposed he could find evermore and speak with her but he wouldnt know where to look.
