"Well, it does happen. There has to be a winner and a loser. And when the time comes that you have to be a loser, you just keep encouraging your Pokemon and tell them how well they did. Losses are hard to take - I saw firsthand earlier, but you have to remind yourself and your Pokemon that it was one match, and that you'll do better next time. Keep training and get stronger." Kasiya smiled, enjoying the chit chat.

Bryn smiled at Kasiya "SO what you're saying is that's what your GOING to do when the loss comes...cause with the way you put everything you haven't lost yet. Am I right?"
Bryn pulled out a ball from her side cargo pocket and threw it ahead of them and let Hunter run ahead to catch it.

"I've only had one battle with another trainer thus far," she admitted, "and I did manage to pull off a win. There was a lot of luck in that one, though. Eevee managed to get a critical hit on the Sandshrew and defeat it, then Pikachu had an advantage over his Spearow. I was afraid that the Sandshrew would win at first." She watched Hunter come running back with the ball, looking very excited and ready for more. "I honestly don't know how it feels to lose a battle, but I'm sure that will happen some time." She laughed.

It took Nina a bit longer than she remembered to get through the underground path and end back up on Route 8. After walking for another twenty minutes or so, Nina arrived back in Lavender Town. The first thing she did upon her arrival was head to the Pokemon Center, and take a nap in one of the beds.

Bryn shot the ball a little further this time for Hunter as she bounded off again
"I'm rather curious...what feelings do you give off while in a battle?" Bryn asked keeping an eye on Hunter

"Excitement, determination. Usually boosted by an adrenaline rush," she answered before deciding to be honest. "When that trainer challenged me, I honestly thought I was gonna throw up. I was so nervous, and I was afraid that I would make all sorts of mistakes and he'd end up laughing at me. But as soon as the battle had actually started, I felt more confident in myself and in my Pokemon. I think that may have been what helped me to win."

"This is it, the big old grassy field," she said, beckoning with her arm. It looked much like it did this morning, only the sun was higher in the sky. "Shall we?" she asked, looking around, her eyes searching for any rustles in the grass.

Bryn cooed Hunter back to keep her close so not to have her rustle the grass and scare any pokemon that Kasiya might want to catch.
"We Shall." Bryn said and kept a look out for anything as well.

The two headed into the grassy field, unsure of what to expect next. Kasiya noted that there weren't any other trainers here now. She looked over at Bryn, not sure what to think of her yet. She sure asked a lot of questions, Kasiya thought as they made their way through the field.

Bryn kept her eyes open and looking around and even went down to all fours and attempted to look through the grass at would be an average pokemon level

((sorry for the double post I just wasn't sure how else to see it first without having the chance of losing it ^^; ))
Bryn was starting to think that being on the ground was getting to be a bit foolish but as she took one more look around to her right she saw a bit of yellow. Getting Hunter to come closer to her she stayed still for a few seconds longer to realize that she was looking at a sandshrew.
Bryn jumped to her feet and sent Hunter closer to Sandshrew. Hunter eagerly jumped into her first battle and bared her teeth threateningly. Bryn got into position and found herself excited, and full of anticipation. 'no barfy feeling...but i wasn't challenged...but yeah i get what Kasiya was saying now.' were her first thoughts before the battle.
Sandshrew startled by Hunter quickly went into a defence Curl. Hunter recognizing that the battle truly began waited for the next move.
"Hunter! Ember Attack!" Bryn called out as Hunter let out a bit of a roar as red hot embers came flying out its mouth falling on and around the Sandshrew.
The Sandshrew came out of its curl and rushed Hunter and scratched her. Surprising Bryn Hunter didn't whine but only growled with more determination.
"Way to go Hunter. Try it again!" Bryn called out encouragement to her Pokemon as Hunter performed the Ember attack once more. Bryn noticed that after the attack had died down the Sandshrew had a patch of red on its skin.
"Hunter ya burned it! Way to go!" Bryn said with much excitement pumping through her veins. She quickly unclipped one of her pokeballs and shot it at Sandshrew.
The ball opened up and Sandshrew got sucked inside.

Kasiya had barely time to react as Bryn jumped into battle with a Sandshrew. She couldn't help but find herself impressed with Hunter's powerful Ember attack, and began to cheer Bryn on from the side, just as she had with Mike the night before. She crossed her fingers behind her back as Bryn threw her Pokeball at the fairly stunned Sandshrew.
