Went and saw the Flobots, which was probably one of the better concerts I've been to!

I've been going to see up and coming bands for the low low price of $5 each Sunday. It's nice. If anyone has time, I would recommend stopping by myspace and checking out "Special K" the band. They're pretty cool. blaugh

I mostly listen to Alternative Rock. biggrin I will listen to most types of Rock except Hardcore (where they scream). I don't like Rap! In my highly expressed opinion, Rap is not really music! xp

We all make mistakes sometimes but... I listen to mostly alternative rock, j-rock, metal and classical. (Classical since it's the style my voice is trained for... I'm in choir right now) X3
I agree with Juno Jo about rap. XP

Normally I would agree with you two. However the flobots are hip hop/ rap and they are amazing. Easily one of the greatest uprising bands.

I am not a big fan of rap or hiphop myself, but there are some good bands out there that can do those mediums justice. You just have to... be patient, I guess to hear them. sweatdrop

I like a lot of movie soundtracks. I love band and of course band has corrupted me to music without words. But I like some music with words. Like, Run Runaway by....can't remember but it's on my Gaia profile. Um... some stuff by Everclear. Country is boring! I swear its the same rythym and about the same stuff all the time. And country subjects are not the subjects I like to think about...........think about it and you'll get it. I don't consider rap a music, its more like....oh how to explain it.....someone spitting repeatedly. Anyway that's my outlook on music.

I'm glad to see such a strong stance on your music choices, Treky. 3nodding I am a big fan of soundtrack music as well! whee I really love my Disney collections and The Lord Of The Rings trilogy music CDs. I also want to mention that I personally rather like Country myself because it actually feels more like a story than some of the "Slave 4 U" songs out there *coughBritneycough* that only become popular because of the catchy beat and sex symbol. The lyrics for these types of songs aren't that great a story teller. To each his or her own though! 3nodding

Cpt. Treky: Run Runaway is by Slade. wink
I got Cpt. Treky hooked on Everclear and Run Runaway. cool Rap is all about the beat most of the time. There are few country songs I like and even fewer rap songs that I like. I don't mind wordless music if I'm writing.
Cpt. Treky: Remember Mrs. Blocher's music?!? eek Man, that stuff is hard to write to. gonk Not that it's not fine or anything! wink

You go to a lot of concerts, Monk, it must be a blast! blaugh
Angel: Ah, it all becomes clear now. I have to agree that wordless music is the best to listen to if you want to study or are concentrating on a task. 3nodding
